Terrible! I ordered a chicken quesadilla meal. The chicken was yellow and tasted old. The rice and beans weren’t great either and the food was overpriced. I had to go somewhere else and buy a second lunch.

Well I wanted to try the guacamole but it was six bucks so I passed. I ordered a beef taco supreme for three bucks and the barbecue lamb taco for 3.29. I’m here for lunch at 12:40 on a Monday and there is only one other person here. The food is fresh homemade and seasoned well. Would definitely do the lamb taco again. Sweet owner came by my table to make sure all was well.

Mamma Santos knows how to whip you up a fresh & hot plate of true Mexican fare. Yeah, the whole«gas station» dealie threw me off when I first tried the place out 15 years ago, but I keep coming back. I love their tamales, both rojo and verde are fantastic. Buy a couple extra! The sides are tasty as well. I’ve never been disappointed at Santos!

Well, the torta left something to be desired. I have had plenty of authentic tortas in FL, and although these were«tortas,» there was a lot left to be desired. First, there was hardly any meat, tortas are supposed to be packed with meat. Secondly, the meat and the jalapenos weren’t even hot/s[icy whatsoever; which is unusual since the steak is supposed to be marinated in spices… so I opted to add salsa to the torta, which gave me the kick I was wanting. With all of that said, I left disappointed since it was rather expensive for just the torta, and with little to no plain meat, it isn’t worth the price. :(The staff was friendly and wonderful, I just wish their quantity and quality were better.

Yes, I don’t care much for Mexican food, I don’t know why bland? But this place is good and authentic. Flautas were excellently crisp and salsas HOT and flavorful! I started studying the menu on what to order next time-SOON!

We stopped by here on our way back to Atlanta from a nearby pumpkin farm. The gas station location was strange, but we figured with such good Unilocal mojo that it had to be good. And we weren’t disappointed! First off, we had a decent size group with four young children. The nice lady(owner?) immediately brought rice and beans for each of the kids. This kept them occupied and avoided any pre-meal meltdowns. And the rest of the meal went just as well. We had tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. They were all super fresh and tasy. The salsa and quacamole was also great. Even the beans and rice were fresh and delicious. There were a lot of empty plates at our table. If it were closer, we would definitely be back again and again!

The authentic flavors of wayward border towns comes to life in this quaint little restaurant. Don’t let the fact that it is attached to a convenience store fool you: the food is amazing! I frequent this place weekly and will continue to do so. The barbecoa de Borrego tacos are a real show stealer. The salsas are hand crafted and very flavorful. One of my top 10 restaurants on the Southside.

I have a admit this location does look sketchy inside a gas station, but it is very good and worth trying! There is a tad bit of a language barrier but they are very sweet and it is authentic mexican food. I just got a quesadilla with rice and queso and it was about $ 10. Next time I go I’ll try to branch out more but it was pretty tasty! Sidenote: This place closes at 5pm on Saturday!

The tacos are to die for. One of the few places on the south side to get truly authentic Mexican tacos. If you like tacos de carne asada this is the place for you.

Definitely better than Taco Bell. Not sure prices justify what you get. It was good, would come back and use drive thru. The coconut juice had nutmeg and/or clove in it. The salsa had a spice I think might be allspice. They had their own small twist on dishes. Had the steak tacos.

Had the beef tacos on Thursday before heading out of town. Couldn’t stop thinking about them on my trip. Came back on Saturday for supper only to find that they closed at 5 p.m. Devastated, I left, determined to get my hands on some more tacos for lunch on Monday. Easily the best/most authentic Mexican food in Henry County. Simple ingredients done right.

If this were reviewed in another location I might not give it five stars, but this is Henry County the land of factory food mexican restaurants that get by on queso and margaritas. This is authentic mexican food, but you can find some disappointments on the menu. There is no alcohol and I don’t care. I don’t drink anyway. I go to restaurants for the food. That free basket of chips you get free at nearly every other mexican restaurant in town will cost you a few bucks here, and again I could not care less. The tacos, enchiladas and tortas are amazing. The beef steak torta and enchilada with green sauce are to die for. Not to mention, they even have beef tongue! Everything is homemade and it shows. Two salsas, a red and a green, compliment every meal, and the queso is thick and hearty. This is the go to restaurant for mexican food in Henry county. The food is simply better here than any of the much larger, more frequented establishments. That being said, if you do come here looking for your typical quesadilla you’ll probably be disappointed. They are a bit on the small side and clearly meant to be a meal compliment instead of a meal. The chips, well they aren’t the star of the show, they could use some salt added during the cooking process. There is also a bit of a language barrier. The last time I went the lady behind the counter clearly didn’t know what the word«large» meant. She also took a minute to understand the word drink. It doesn’t matter really. I got what I wanted with a bit of pointing. Yes, its located next to a gas station and you shouldn’t care. The food is good. Go eat here.

Had a most excellent lunch here. Pursuant to my earlier review of Santo’s, they hand-make everything in small batches. Today I see the virtue in this practice. My guacamole was among the best I’ve ever had. My burrito, made to order, was an exercise in perfection. I may have to figure out how to drag my ITP friends to this place… BTW, if you’re going for dinner, please note that Santo’s closes at 7pm.

Most authentic food I’ve been able to find in the south. Everything is made fresh, and the salsa is amazing! It is the perfect take-out food, and is very clean inside. The cooks are as a sweet as can be. Definitely worth checking out!
