Zaxby’s

Came here tonight and it was just ok. I thought since this was there home state it would be better but I was wrong because I’ve had better food better service and shorter wait time at your Houston, tx locations

I went here after some coworkers told me to get zaxby’s chicken. Personally the chicken was not that great. I wanted 20 wings and fries and I got 20 wings and fries but that was just about the only good thing. I went through the drive through.
I asked for 20 wings, ten of their hot wings and ten of their sweet and spicy. They told me if I wanted 2 flavors they would have to charge me for 2 ten piece orders. Dumb rule but whatever. Then I asked for a large order of fries. She proceeded to ask me if I wanted a regular size or a large size.
I got up to the window and paid. She handed me my card and a bag and said have a nice day. I pulled away.
I pulled out of the drive through and went to eat a wing before getting back on the road and noticed I didn’t have my fries and they put all my wings, 2 flavors in 1 container. How are you going to charge me for 2 ten piece orders and then put them all in 1 box?
The fries ended up cold, and the wings had almost no sauce on them. I will never be back to this location and I am skeptical about trying another zaxby’s location.
One chance to impress and you did poorly. I may not like the flavors at Popeyes but at least I know I am getting what I pay for. Zaxby’s you are incredibly overpriced for the poor quality of food/​service.

I love me some Zaxby’s. But I have to say, this Zaxby’s is not what you’d expect. Upon arrival I noticed the staff was hard at work. I the proceeded to order my regular. After ordering I went to get my drink. They were out of ice and I didn’t have time to wait for ice, or I thought I didn’t have time because I was forced to wait 15 minutes for my meal. As I proceeded go get my soda, I noticed the machine was out of most selections. I then waited, with a soda I normally don’t drink, and noticed customers were also waiting for them to refill the ice tea. When I finally received my food I took my tray to get some ketchup and to no surprise they were out of ketchup as well. By then I was wondering why they were sweeping the floors, that looked pretty clean…
I don’t know if this is the norm for this restaurant or if I arrived at a very inconvenient time. Overall, my food was alright. I don’t plan on stopping at this Zaxby’s again. There are plenty others along I75.

I am a huge fan of online ordering from this company but every time I place an order it’s incorrect. Wrong sauces on tenders, wrong condiments, wrong side dishes. The management is horrible and offers no concession or apoloogy for having to return to get orders corrected. They don’t even offer to remake your order, just swap out the incorrect items and send you on your way, cold food and all. I like their chicken, the price is a bit relentless but I expect more in terms of customer service; so I will not be returning and you should steer clear as well.

I stopped in here after a long day on 4÷9÷13. My wife and I stepped to the counter with nobody in front of us. We ordered a chicken finger plate and a «The Blue» Zalad sans onion straws. My wife tried to order a soda and they said they only had water and sweet tea. Really? You have a Walmart in your parking lot and you do not have soda just because you are having some problems with your machine? That was the first indication of how poor this location is. They put the order in and we went and picked a table. Even though we were the first people in line we sat and waited for about 15 minutes before they called our number. When I got to the counter I noticed onion straws laced throughout the zalad. So I had to wait another 5 minutes for them to make me a new one. I ordered water to drink and immediately noticed that their water was unfiltered, nasty tasting, chlorine and flouride filled crap. I have never tasted bad water at a Zaxby’s so I am not sure if their filter was broken or needed to be changed or if McDonough’s water has just gone way south as of late.
Further observations– As we sat there and ate, we saw other customers straggle in as well. It took no less than 15 minutes for each of them to be served. Also, this location seems slightly smaller than the others I have been to. As a result, the noise level in here is very high. Once we finally got our food it was actually good. But hey, it’s Zaxby’s, so of course it is going to taste good! It is all from the same commissary. It is for that reason, and ONLY for that reason, that I was able to give this location a 2 star review instead of one. Basically, if you live local to Henry County it would be well worth your drive to hit one of the other locations in the area. That is, of course, unless you just really enjoy long, unecessary waits, eating in a very loud environment, and like limited choices on what you can drink, and have a taste for crappy, unfiltered city water. If you are looking for that then this is absolutely the place. Bön Appetit!
