Came here for Taco Tuesday and ordered 20 tacos plus one of the chicken carbona taco not sure what its called something like that but i was not satisfied at all. Never had a bad experience here. Food was always amazing for the price it is but this previous time is most likely my last unless for the ice coffee which is amazing. The hard tacos taste like cardboard and paint, they’ve never tasted like that not sure why they did this time. After weeks of waiting, i was disappointed :(

Every time we attempt to go here they have closed hours before their posted hours of operation. Tonight I waited at the drive thru menu for 10 minutes for someone to take my order and when no one did I drove to the window and saw someone walking out of sight. This was at least 2 hours before they were supposed to close. This is the third time we’ve tried to go when they were supposed to be open and they ended up being closed(or hiding in the back).

the shift manager’s customer service was good, adequate, and handled a legitimate quesadilla missing meat. Good Job Del. Kudos and Props to the night time leader/manager. Joey professional restaurant manager Mckinney, Tx

This has to be one disappointing Del Taco in DFW. Just doesn’t have that same California Mojo from me being a transplant from SoCal. The food is subpar and lacking that authenticity that made them big in CA. Not sure if the ingredients here in Texas have changed or the employees just don’t care. So many times the flavor was off by being too salty or just pure flavor blandness. I’ve stopped eating inside due to a filthy dining room and outrageous waiting times for my food(more than 10 mins in several occasions.) My other rant is that this store is not a 24-hour drive thru outside of the weekend. Tip: Never allow the drive thru to have you pull forword and park to wait for your food– they always made me wait over ten minutes more than once.

Wow. Stopped at this drive thru at about 2:30(not rush hour) just to get water and 3 sm fries. I swear it took over 30 minutes to get it!!! Unbelievable!

HORRIBLE experience! The place was dirty and it took TWENTYMINUTES to get my food. How is it even possible to take that long to make a taco? Never eating there again.

Went to DT on 2 different occasions, and was floored by how crappy the food was. I am really trying to not write a bad review for them, but I must tell you of my experiences. The first time I went there was after my brother said he used to go to DT elsewhere, and that he loved the tacos. I ordered a couple of regular type tacos and when I got to the window the dude told me my order was $ 13. I am like, are you kidding? I cancelled my order and drove off. Thinking I did something wrong, I went back a week or so later and very carefully ordered from the drive thru menu, a couple of tacos to try their basic food. I got a couple of tacos that were not as good as Taco Bell, and cost more. The second visit finished it for me. I went by in the morning to try a breakfast taco. The line moved slowly, and the tacos that I got sucked so bad. The eggs inside of the tacos was cold. Cold, like out of the refrigerator cold. These were obviously made way beforehand and meant to be reheated, but weren’t. Haven’t been back since.

I love the option of having fries with my tacos. I get the best of both worlds here! The tacos are good but nothing amazing. They are cheap though and their hot sauce is so much better than Taco Bell. It actually is spicy and will pack a punch you don’t expect. The fries are okay but since they were warm they were nothing special. The churros are delicious! Only a dollar each and they are made to order since I received mine hot! Service is less than steller but it’s worth it for the tacos!

Del Taco is awesome! So much better than Taco Bell. I used to come here all the time when I lived in McKinney. Their taco Tuesday nights are great, you can get like 9 tacos for $ 3 so cheap and sooo good!

The thrill with Del Taco was short lived. It isn’t just the food either, it is the service. I’ve been through the drive thru a couple of times at this location and the food grew progressively more«thrown together» each time. So for example, their al carbon had a few pitiful pieces of meat and maybe four onions, with what looked like a last minute recollection that some type of sauce belonged on the taco. The straw that broke the camel’s back was a very rude young lady who refused to give me more than four packets of hot sauce for a bag full of tacos. She was openly rude and made no attempt to mask her disdain for my request of more sauce. She darn near threw two additional packs at me, to which I responded with, «A little more please?» She spit daggers at me with her eyes, handed me two more packs and through gritted teeth, told me that she didn’t have any more to give me at her window. Ummmmm, go get a refill front he storage bin? She also did not look presentable with hair that looked a little on the dirty side and that stuck straight out. I’m not trying to be funny or make a mockery, nor am I trying to be judgmental here, but I wasn’t too happy with the overall presentation, fast, cheap food or not. Would I return to this location? Probably not for awhile.

Ordered takeout at around 1:00PM on a Saturday. Quick service. Polite young man at the counter. Love the $ 1 or less menu. Exactly what you’d expect from a fast food taco joint.

First off, don’t let the two stars fool you — Del Taco is some really good food. That being said, this review is simply about the extremely poor service at this location. I have been here numerous times(it’s just closer than the one in Frisco) and they have never gotten my order right. Not speaking hyperbolically, either — THEYHAVENEVERGOTTENMYORDERRIGHT. It is not a hard concept when someone asks you not to put lettuce or tomatoes on their taco that you simply don’t do that. There is always«stuff» left on my order after I ask them to leave it off or, more often even than that, numerous items missing from my order. Really disappointed in my experiences here. The only reason I give them two stars is because their food deserves better than a one star rating.

I have to start out that I am a buenohead, but this is a close second. I like Del Taco because my sons can get cheeseburgers and shakes that they can’t get a Taco Bueno. I like that Del Taco has a taco on a bun that is not on the menu, but essentially is a taco burger. It is my favorite. Also, you need to know that Del Taco make a homemade salsa and if you go through the drive thru you need to make a specail request to get it or you get the hot sauce in the packet.

Love the food but this location is downright dirty. You can tell that they have little concern about keep their resturant clean. If I was the owner of this location I would be pissed. I recommend that he/she go in and really have a look around. The food is great for what it is! Asada tacos rule! However, I will go to other locations to get my Del Taco fix. I like the location on Preston in Frisco… it is MUCHMUCH cleaner.

Del Taco is very mediocre! Why: 1. The drive thru people have a hard time hearing your order, they apparently hear 3 when you say 2. 2. The quality and presentation are awful – so awful it’s unappetizing! I’ve only eaten from here once and will never make the mistake of eating here again!

Love del. The person comparing to taco bell or Wendy’s is just silly. Maybe they ordered wrong. Californians know that del is awesome in the same way that In n out is in another league than McDonald’s. Chicken soft tacos(original) and crinkle fries are where it’s at. Shrimp tacos are back for a limited time now too(9÷19÷12). Similar to other del tacos in TX they have dr pepper instead of mr pibb. I don’t know why. First time I went here they must have been working out their opening kinks since they burnt the fries but they’ve gotten their act together and you get really over stuffed tacos here… better than the average CA location. Service has been really good at this location as well.

I don’t know what these Californians are thinking… Are they just shipping over leftovers from their«beloved» food chains? Del Taco is just«meh» and not the nostalgic goodness that some of our west coast natives rave about. I mean, come on… I for sure am not gonna rave about Taco Bell or Wendy’s when/if I move to another state. I would say, come here for tacos and fries if you’re hungover or drunk… they are open 24 hours.

We ate Del Taco @ El Paso, Tx when traveling home from CA. We liked the food better than other fast food places. Now it’s in N Dallas & we’re happy. Tacos, burritos, & specialties are great. The hot sauce & salsas are good too but I had to mix mime ½ hot & ½ medium to decrease the spice. Inside service is great. Cashier knows her food & was nice to explain what’s the difference without hesitations. It was taco nite so we ordered the 3 tacos for $ 1.09&3 classic tacos for $ 2.09. Saved ~.70 for each order. Price are reasonable. However, this location needs to keep up with trash & cleanliness. Both cans were full to the rim. Overall, food was great & price is right for the quality & taste of food.

First time at this location, but a huge Del Taco fan from Cali. My experience here was not great. Giving 3 stars instead of two because I know Del Taco has great food and I’m considering this a one off experience. I will update my review later if that turns out to not be the case. So, let’s get to the review, shall we? I placed a big order(6 chicken soft tacos, 3 bean burritos with sour cream, 1 cheese quesadilla, 2 macho tacos, a cheese burger and fries, a churro and a cheesecake bites, and two medium drinks. Please note, medium drinks are huge. Larger than a large should be. Maybe 32oz? Anyway, 4 bags of food, and literally zero napkins? Really? Come on. I would love to tell you how the desserts were, but we didn’t actually receive them. The food we did receive was ok, but not up to normal Del Taco standards in my opinion.
