Recently moved to McKinney. I had a bad experience trying to get glasses at a nearby optometrist.
McKinney Eyeworks was able to get new glasses made in a day. This is fabulous turn around considering I have a strong prescription, and wear high index lenses.
Very professional and courteous staff and all this at an affordable price.

Professional staff. Convenient emailing of insurance card/​info. Need to make an appointment about a week before you need to see doc, they fill up fast.
Friendly staff upon walking in. Doctor seems a little bored (probably from repetitive nature of what he’s doing all day).
Picking out frames is fun, and expensive. Insurance covers a lot of it though. And you can pay with an HSA.
I havent been to an eye doc in over 5 yrs, so I cant really complain.
Was told frames would be in stock same day or next day. That’s pretty fast turnaround!

Each and every time I have been there are great. The receptionists, eye techs and Dr is fantastic. Highly recommend!

Three times my silly son has broken his glasses or the dog ate them. The staff is so friendly and helps us out each time! Love this place!

Overall my experience didn’t go well but that’s not to say it didn’t workout in the end. Making the appointment easy, exam wonderful, service great… 3 appointments later within a two week span of not seeing… I finally had glasses and the staff was tired of me! It was apparent and the feeling was becoming mutual. Went to purchase my sunglasses and the price doubled from the original quote. All I got in response was we can cancel your order. I felt like it was just one problem after another and the only person who benefited in the end was them because they got the original sale… Not my returned business though. Now I’m looking for another place to get my 2^nd pair of frames and sunglasses. Open for suggestions.

1÷13÷2015 Wow. I can not give a review for the doctor himself because I never made it that far. The receptionist who answered the phone was extremely rude. She said they were booked up, which I find hard to believe. I have never seen any eye doctor booked up for weeks. The next avaliable date she had was a day I have another appointment. She did not offer to take my name and call if there was a cancellation or anything. Her main objective was to get off of the phone and that was very evident. I wonder how her boss would feel about losing all of that insurance money for treating someone with preglaucoma? Not to mention the glasses, sunglasses, and contacts I purchase every year? I was really hoping to visit this doctor as he is close to my home and specializes in glaucoma. I guess I am back on the hunt for a new doctor. :-(

I just had a friend text me about what a horrible experience they had on the phone with this place. She said the woman asked her if she wanted morning or afternoon appointment? My friend said «morning». The woman said «ok we have 8am, 8:30, and 9:00». My friend asked if she had anything around 10am or 11am? The woman instantly got an attitude and said «I thought you said you wanted morning not afternoon?». My friend said «oh, I am sorry. All of these years I thought anything after 12pm was AFTER noon.» She then proceeded to tell my friend that in their system afternoon started at 10:30. How is anyone supposed to know how their system operates?
I had to go back and look at my Unilocal reviews to see if this was the same place that I had reviewed in January. I know this isn’t a personal, first hand account of dealing with them, but I thought it was interesting that someone I know who had no idea that I had called this business had a similar experience with an extremely rude front desk person. I hope this gets the attention of either the woman who is being rude or the doctor. The woman needs to watch her tone when dealing with patients and the doctor needs to become aware of the situation and fix it if the woman can’t change her ways. SHE IS COSTING YOU MONEY!!!

Knowledgeable staff and quick in and out. The longest part of the process was picking out the frames.
and had an exam and they had my lens in stock so I was walking out the. door in 1 hour with new glasses. I can’t recommend highly enough.
