After my daughter failed her eye test at school I decided to take her to Dr. Degenaer for her eye exam. During the exam Dr. Degenaer was thorough and patient while she was making her decisions on the eye machine. Afterwards he told us of his findings and explained her needs to us. He then answered all our questions to our satisfaction. His entire team was very kind. Even scheduling an appointment was easy and the location is convenient. I felt he took very good care of my daughter. Dr. Degenaer didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t need, which is a welcomed change to the norm around the DFW area. I will return with my other children and I won’t hesitate to recommend him to my family and friends.

The last two visits (once per year) the doctor has been EXTREMELY rude and even has mocked and mimicked me as I am answering his questions. He was gesturing large and talking loud at me as though I were deaf. I have absolutely no idea why he acted this way toward me. I was not rude or demanding, and did nothing to make him dislike me. The first time, I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking we all have an off day. Today I brought my children in for their annual visit and he was shockingly rude and mocking separate times during the visit. I am shocked at his behavior, and will not be returning. He lost a family of customers due to his horrible attitude!

Not sure if this Doctor had a bad day but his bedside manners are awful. Instead of telling me to lean back. He pushed me back in my chair. He also was very irritated that my eyes fogged up the lens and basically cut my appointment short!!!
