This review specifically relates to the Automotive service area and not the overall store. I was in need of a new battery for my car and while WalMart was not my first choice for this purchase, they had my oddball battery in stock and the warranty was better than most others in the area. Observation #1 WalMart website reflected a price of $ 82 for the battery, but store price was $ 117. Observation #2 When I arrived at the counter, the service tech interacted with a greeting similar to «You’d better not be in a hurry because it’s going to be ATLEAST2−½ hours.» When I pointed out that the service bays were almost empty and the parking by the shop didn’t reflect any cars waiting, he informed me that there were two ahead of me in line. This shop’s focus is tires and batteries… none of which are 60+ minute work orders.(At least they shouldn’t be.) It was clear he wanted me to go away rather than cause him more work. Observation #3 The car was ready as promised(a full 2.5 hours later) where the employee confirmed the battery was replaced and slowly coordinated the ticket into the register. I inquired about the test on the old battery to confirm this was indeed the problem, he responded«I don’t know if it was tested». Ummm… when I dropped the car I was told it’d be tested and the sign there says this is part of the service. His response«It may have been done but I don’t know if it was.» There was clearly no concern in ensuring the committed service had been performed and certainly no energy was going to be expended in checking that the work was completed as agreed. Recommendation #1(for WalMart) Online pricing should be accurate. I plan to return to the store to request a price adjustment for the misrepresentation on pricing for my battery. Recommendation #2(For WalMart) Customer service training and, likely, staffing changes are warranted at this store. The limited amount of business being generated at the shop is clearly a reflection on prior and current customer experience and I certainly don’t plan to return to experience the abuse that was received. Recommendation #3(For Customers) Go elsewhere. This was clearly not a situation where the staff was«having a bad day» or overwhelmed with business. They didn’t care about my business and you should expect the same.

NOSTARS — Watch your credit card at this store. Compromised but luckily it was shut down before fraud occurred. Just tried to call Store Manager but they were not there. Employee who answered phone was going to out me through to co– manager but coincidentally I got disconnected.

Just had the worst customer service experience for an oil change. Called and was told«no wait». Great. I have one car in front of me and after waiting 90 minutes and asking what’s up, I’m finally told they don’t have the filter. I’m sitting there the whole time. Car is parked in the lot as if it’s done for quite some time, and no one calls or let’s me know? Just bad form. Pay the few bucks extra and go to Goodyear!

It’s walmart, what else is there to say. If you talk to anyone anywhere in the US they say the same thing. Too many registers not enough cashiers and so long lines. Went on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t too bad. BUT of course lots of stuff is sold out by then so big shopping is probably not the best thing to do at that time.

Standard large footprint Walmart Supercenter. Extremely crowded with a crazy parking lot that doesn’t enter or exit easily. Not enough registers open, so there was even a line to get into the self checkout area.

Walmart is Walmart you should know what you’re getting yourself into before you go. This one is very clean. The workers are attentive and helpful(for the most part). One of the workers tried to steal my wallet, Walmart security and McKinney PD were fast and diligent in getting it back for me. Since the store is very close to home we shop here frequently and will continue.

This is my second favorite Wal-Mart in Mckinney! It has a strange lay out. The pharmacy and toiletries are on the other side of the store from the groceries. That is why I like Custer and 380 better.

Great store! I shop here almost every day. It is clean, it is stocked most of the time. It has several employees that are always working hard to keep the place nice for those of us who shop there. The bakery does a good job! The prepared foods people and Deli group seems to have it going on. The crew who stocks shelves are on it! The guys and girls in Electronics seem knowledgeable. I go here to get my car serviced. They have yet to mess something up! All in all, ALL the departments are doing well here from my point of view as a shopper! Good management, makes for a good store. Good Employees support a good management! Thanks!

If I could give zero stars, I would. In the evening, don’t even think about finding a lane with an actual cashier. They force you into self-service, but rarely open more than four registers and those require assistance every few items because their scales don’t work. Drive past this place to a store that values your business.

I was driving my GTI down Lake Forest and noted that my tire was blown. Thank God there was a Walmart within a few hundred yards. I rolled the car right in there and the mechanic got right on it. Because of an idiot customer who I thought was trying to scam the store for four new tires, it took about a half a hour to get checked out. The waiting area is kind of a disaster. In dealing with this irate customer, the assistant manager got involved and two other customers were waiting patiently while this knucklehead who was driving some wreck was yelling and screaming. This dude was clueless and should have been thrown out. Finally, the other customer including my myself started complaining because we had other places to be.

I have not been to this store ONE time when they have adequate lanes open or staff that is around to help. 85% of the time the checkers are rude or do not so much as say hello. Clearly they hate their jobs. And considering how poorly Walmart takes care of it’s employees, I can see why. BUT, it’s not customers faults. The store is always crowded, especially around the first of any month. I avoid this store if at all possible. I just pay higher prices some place else simply to avoid inconveniencing any of the employees to do their jobs. I will say that the store is usually very clean, stocking is better at night, when they’re actually putting it on the shelves. Otherwise you may be making a few trips back up.

As WalMarts go, this one is close to a 5 star, but there are a few dings. They’re not always fully stocked(I’ve had to make an extra trip a number of times after shopping here), and it’s not as squeaky clean as the benchmark store at Park and DNT in Plano(as I call it, the«hoity-toity WalMart»). The stocking issue is the most frustrating for sure, as is their corporate push to stock more of their Great Value store brand products over national brands(obviously not the fault of this store, though). The store has grocery on the right, pharmacy on the left; I prefer the ones where pharmacy and grocery are on the same side, but that’s a nitpick. The pharmacy is not open 24 hours(I’m not sure any of them are any more), and customer service closes at 10:00PM. I almost always shop late at night when the aisles can be full of merchandise to be stocked, but the stockers, for the most part, are friendly and will move things to help you get by(very helpful as my wife is usually on a scooter). Gas and automotive services are also available here.

Review of Automotive Service. Woke up with dead battery. Called Walmart at 9am. Nice woman asked me for my make/model so she could verify stock and potentially save a wasted trip. Got there at 915. 20 minutes later and I’m paying out and on my way. Solid service. Good Price. $ 75. Only negative was the waiting area… Nasty looking chairs and one other customer… A nose picking older man in the waiting area with me. One of those really-get-into-it kind of people… Won’t ding Walmart for it as it IS Walmart after all.
