Quilt Asylum

This is worth a trip to go visit! It’s been my favorite quilt shop that I’ve been to! You can find all different manufacturers and designers! Lots of fun stuff for the modern quilter! Staff is super friendly and helpful! Warning: you will drop some big $$$ here!

This is possibly my favorite quilt shop in the entire metroplex. It’s very large, has a good variety of fabric, and the staff are always so friendly. I don’t get up that way often because I live in Arlington, but when I do, it’s always worth it. They have lots of modern fabrics, some novelty, and batiks. The prices are pretty much on par with most every other quilt shop I’ve been to.
What I love is the organization — it’s sorted by color for the most part, then collection within each color section. There are also some featured fabric collections in separate displays in the middle of the store. My favorite part, though, is that there are pre-​cut fat quarters of everything available right there next to the fabric so I can find what I want and not have to wait to get it cut. The fat quarters get discounted when the bolt is gone and they go off to the «orphan» basket.
All in all, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good quilt shop in that area.
