Wonderful store, wonderful service. More on the modern side of fabric, but always a wide selection and unique finds. Great patterns, fabrics, and notions. I always find different things here than I see in other shops. Very nice service as well. I highly recommend stopping in!

Fun shop but small inventory! They do have things for the modern quilter so I enjoyed visiting the store! Great pattern selections too!

It’s always great to have a new quilt store! Of course, I think SWL has been here a little more than a year. I would really love them if they just weren’t so darn close to my house — talk about temptation! The store recently expanded to twice it’s size. It’s really nice — lots of space in the classroom to spread out. They have a good selection of fabrics — lots of moderns, of course the requisite Moda(based in Dallas) — but they have all the Grunge collection from Moda that is fantastic so that makes up for the aforementioned! Lynn, the owner, does a great job of having a selection of modern fabrics, or I should say — lots of modern feeling fabrics — but even traditional quilters will find lots of goodies here. Lately, they have had Michael Miller and Art Gallery lines that are just stunning. The prices are right in line with all the local quilt stores. If anything, they are on the lowish end by a few cents. I do love that the fat quarters are priced based on the yardage — I hate the stores where all FQs are the same price but if you buy a quarter of a yard it may be much cheaper. The pattern selection is nice — lots of modern and different patterns that you won’t see everywhere in town. Same for the books. If you stop in — Joy and Sarah are the ladies to see! I can’t tell you how great they are — both have a great eye for color and are very good at getting a feel for the look you are trying to create. I’ve known both of them for years and quite honestly, they are a good percentage of the reason I shop there. Nothing’s more annoying than someone who has no real sense of sewing or color who is just shoving random bolts at you. I always appreciate them — even more so when they make a face and say nope, not that one. Their honesty and concern is priceless! The store has a great selection of classes — lots of the best teachers. I always enjoy the classes and have been impressed by the instruction and variety. Some stores are rated as a stop in if you happen to be that way — I would say this is one that you should make a special trip to see. Stop in and say hi to the girls and enjoy the great selection.
