My car was acting up so called dealer and they wanted big money just to scan it !!! and first appointment was a week away !! Talked with a friend and they refereed me to Schroeders …

I am from central Illinois and was visiting family in McKinney over a weekend when my 2006 BMW M3 began throwing warning lamps and went into limp home mode a couple times. I was able to check the codes and reset them but couldn’t keep them from coming back. I was planning on returning to Illinois on Tuesday but worried about problems on the 800 mile drive so I took the car into Schroeder’s Import Automotive in hopes that they could look at it. I was very pleasantly surprised that they could get my car in that day as I am used to waiting a couple of days at least for an appointment. Anyway, Kenny was very helpful and said if I left the car they would check it out for me. When he called back mid afternoon he said they were able to repeat some of the lights coming on but couldn’t find any problems and suggested that I should be okay to return home the next day and keep an eye on it. The amazing thing was he didn’t charge me anything since they weren’t able to find anything wrong. I tried to get him to take something since they had a couple of hours in it and some test driving but he wouldn’t change his mind. That is so rare in today’s world. I can’t speak highly enough of Schroeder’s and if I lived in McKinney I would definitely be a customer. Thank you to the crew at Schroeder’s for giving me peace of mind and I made the return trip with no incidents.
