Seva – Mckinney

This place is so convenient! Located inside of walmart, I can go grocery shopping and get rid of these caterpillars above my eyes for $ 5.00!!! Seriously? You can’t beat that! The customer service is outstanding! These ladies always have a smile and are so welcoming! Its not like the other threading salon where they are just worried about getting you in and out of the chair.

Went yesterday and got just a regular eyebrow threading for $ 5. Not sure if this will be standard price now or just a special, but hopefully standard since Heena offers it for $ 4. Anyway, older lady was nice but totally sucked at threading. I had to ask her to rethread because she missed bunches of little hairs and in the end I still ended up having to come home and tweeze.
This location is hit or miss. They’ve been opened and closed for like a year at a time so unless they get better threaders, I will go to Heena instead.

Went on 1÷24÷2014 in the mid afternoon and the location was closed with a big «coming soon» sign on it, saying they were hiring. I’m assuming they lost their employees that can thread, so — no threaders, can’t be open. Very frustrating though that the Seva website shows them as open and they aren’t. Call first before going!
EDIT: Wow, within 15 minutes of posting this review, Seva responded below. I’ll contact him, but did he even read my review? It clearly states what happened, and I’m not sure how they can help other than stating when the store will be open and editing their website to show that it isn’t currently open. I feel like this is an automated response instead of a real one!

I went in for eye brow threading, full face wax and threading. She double dipped the applicator for the wax…
Then she offered eyelashes I said OK I will give it a try. My right eye started itching before she was done, I was told I you’ll have to get used to it. As I laid there I thought she is double dipping the applicator that someone else has used. By 10PM I was at the ER with an eye infection. I WON’T BE BACK!!!

Love this place. The service is great. The girls are super nice. Pricing is very reasonable. I seem to get a coupon for my next visit every time I leave. I used to drive to Willow Bend Mall from McKinney and pay double for the same service. I do love the lady I used to use in Dallas. But the miles and the price is just better in town.
I only had to wait at Seva one time and that was less than ten minutes.
Highly recommend especially for people like me who have to go often.

Every time I go here, they do a less than mediocre job. I always have extra stray hairs left on my eyebrows, but its the closest eyebrow place to me so I usually don’t mind plucking the rest myself. Today, the woman who did my eyebrows did an awful job & made my eyebrows extremely thin and unshapely. When I told her she basically removed half of my eyebrows, she argued with me and didn’t apologize. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The employees are rude and the service is awful

i always go to the seva in mckinney… there’s a girl there that always does my threading. never had a problem. but if she’s not there… i dont get them done. i go very three to four weeks. my brows dont grow as fast after i’ve been threading for three months. th egirl i go to is super friendly, don’t know her name… sorry, but shes the younger one of the group. hope this helps.

after reading the reviews on Unilocal I decided to give it a try. I arrive there soon as they open making that it a fast and speedy service. I’ve experienced better from a little kiosk in the mall. the lady the did my eyebrows was not rude however her technique I was curious about. although she talk to me to make sure was okay but the way that she was shaping my eyebrows what bothered me was the fact that she didn’t ask if I wanted any witch hazel or alcohol something on there for irritation later on when I got back home my eyebrows started itching I put alcohol on it and I broke out a little. nice shape yes good price yes will I go back I just don’t know

This place is complete bs. Went in for a wax and was told they dont offer waxing (after i was already in the chair with my eyes closed and the girl was ripping out my eye brows with the thread) so I had to sit though a painful threading done by someone who was obviously a novice or poorly trained. Yes threading is uncomfortable however I’ve never received one as painful as the one at Seva and they had the nerve to ask me to hold my own brow and eye while they threaded it. I later found out they do have waxing but the girl just didnt want to wax my brows. I also later visited for eyelash extensions and decided since it was cheaper than my usual salon I’d give it a try. Ladies, dont try to cheap out, you get what you pay for. I was told prior to checking in that they would last two weeks then later told they were not water proof and I could not wash or touch my face at all! They used black glue on my blonde lashes and it looked like a big clumpy mess of glue and eyelashes on my natural lashes. Then when I asked the girl to make them look more natural she called another employee over to do them. Same results again. I explained I was unhappy and if they were not water proof, I couldnt wash or touch my face for two weeks and I was going to have to walk around with spider clump eyes I didnt want them, the girl says, well you’ll still have to pay for them anyways because we used half a box. (Mind you they did one eye) I still got charged nearly full price and walked out with nothing more than a dire need to wash my face. I’m not sure who on earth can get those lashes and then not wash their face for two weeks but I’m sticking with my regular salon who charges more but at least they use clear glue and it looks completely natural and flawless and ITS WATERPROOF. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!

Quick service, no complaints ! They do great work.
