Through my years living in NoVA I have stopped into here on many occasions. It is convient, and I like strolling through Crate & Barrel, but so-so on service and food. Recently, brunch was not a good experience for me. To our dismay they could not make any lattes of cappuccinos as the espresso machine was broken. They did still have coffee, which the bartender happily comped without us asking. Eggs Benedict was disappointing. It consisted of poached eggs over top of a slice of ham, sitting on a piece of toast. Hollandaise was awful, and was like thick yellow vinegar. It was too loose to be a hollandaise, and only tasted sour. The description on the menu sounds way better than the actual product. Omelet was nothing special, but it delivered an omelet. We opted for the«build your own», which offers a variety of different options. Both dishes were accompanied with homefries which neiher of us really liked. They were hard, dry, and had too much onion. As a positive the bartender was awesome, and had a great personality. He was inviting and paid a great deal of attention to detail. As far as dining here for lunch/dinner the food is pretty good. I love the tomato soup, and the mussels are great. The menu does not change very much, and is fairly small. It would be nice if the selections rotated once in a while. Service can be hit or miss, but one thing that is consistent is that if an order is botched or there is a problem the manager always stops over to apologize. I will continue to come here, but hope that there will be some menu changes.

Went for Father’s Day. Took 90 minutes to receive our food after we ordered it and when it arrived, everything was cold. And here’s the kicker — the crab cake Benedict gave me food poisoning. Wish they had a Zero star option.

Total disappointment! No wonder this place never have lines. Got the crab brunch item. For the price, it was awful. Not only does their fruit cup look like it’s been chopped up to death but it smells like moldy dish cloth. My friends and I will never come back here. You might as well go to Silver Diner and wait in line there!

Great location if you want to avoid the Tyson’s traffic. We made a reservation on Open Table & they were not prepared for us. The waitress started by spilling water on one of us. She was very apologetic & management came immediately. It went down hill from there: slow to take our order, slow to deliver drinks, wrong order arrived @ our table. Food cold when it finally arrived. We wondered why no one was in this restaurant. Now, we know. It’s a great location, but when there are so many to choose from, certainly you could find better. Parking is a challenge in their parking garage.

Its a nice place to have a light lunch by yourself or with a group of friends. The ambience is very laid back yet upscale. The staff are good and attentive, but I go to restaurants to eat lol! The food is Okay. Nothing out of the ordinary, just food. The patio seating is cool and the drinks are good as well. Good for brunch.

Omg this is probably one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious. Everything we ordered was mouth watering good. The presentation is beautiful. I can’t help but rave. Even the service was superb. On our first visit we had no idea what to get there were just so many choices. Our server was so pleasant and extremely helpful in helping us decide. When we couldn’t decide on wines we were brought samples of some. They poured so much in the sample glass it was as if it was a glass we had ordered. We did end up getting a bottle. On get the Belgian style mussels for an appetizer. They were so so good. We haven’t been back in awhile but even when we talk about it the bf still mentions how good the food is here. If we are in the area this will be on top of our list.

We used to go to «Café D» once a week, on average, for years. We’ve been trying new restaurants for the last few months and decided to swing back by Café D tonight since it’s close to Tysons II Galleria. Café D has changed and not for the better. Starting with the stale white bread(hard as a rock), followed by the crispy chicken rolls(tough, especially the poorly trimmed dark chicken meat), to the wilted, tough romaine in the ceasar salad(along with fatty and tough grilled chicken), and finished with the undercooked salmon. Our dog was the big winner. Café D used to be good food at a decent price. The prices are still decent, but the quality’s gone way, way down so the price ends up being way high for what we got. The service was fine — not as crowded as it used to be.(Always funny when the host/ess asks whether you’ve got a reservation when the restaurant’s almost empty.) The capper was when we opened up the order of mac & cheese we brought home — $ 8 for about three bites(less than half of the small container, and much smaller than it always had been in the past). It was so odd that we called the manager to see if there was some mistake. Instead of apologizing, the manager claimed their portion control system is infallible, so the problem must be with our expectations. Yes, our expectations certainly were disappointed. Never again, Café D. Better off going back to PF Chang’s at the Galleria.

I rarely think to try out the numerous venues in TC and I’m starting to feel that I’ve been very neglectful. My cousins come here often, citing this as one of their favorite places to eat. I joined them on a recent Saturday night, when several other cousins had come into town. We started off with the Creamy Spinach & Melted Leek and also the Crab Dip. Both were delicious. For dinner, I ordered the Classic Belgian Mussels, a pound of mussels steamed and served in a broth of herbs and white wine and served with toasted, buttery, focaccia crostini. The mussels were good, but the sauce was amazing. I ended up soaking up as much of it as possible with the focaccia and also the bread at the table. It was that delicious. Our server was excellent and very attentive. I’d like to try this venue for brunch sometime.

We went there for Sunday brunch. Food was ok but the service was very poor. They had many empty tables but it took them 15 min to sit us. The server took our dink order wrong. The table near us send back their foods(not sure why). And the other table said they were waiting for their checks for a long time. Other than the service issue, It’s a good option for family gatherings.

Founding Farmers was packed, so we came here for breakfast. I got the ham and Gruyère omelette and it was delicious. It came with home fries and a biscuit with butter and jelly. Best biscuit I’ve ever had. Was definitely home made.

I can see this place closing in the next 6 months. Service was horrible from the manager down to the waiter. Kids meals coming in different times(20mn)… Appetizer: 25mn … Wine: the Malbec listed on the menu doesn’t exist. 2 desserts are out(the peach cobbler and crème brûlée) of course after we ordered, the waiter didn’t know. Add to this the AC was shut down(because it’s 70 outside) which makes the smell from the kitchen gets into the main dining room… May be café deluxe is only good for one drink at the bar

Had a deluxe breakfast. The French toast was delicious. Side order of the pancake was so so. Bacon was super greasy and on the salty side. Lastly, its cinnamon roll was dry and terrible! Very good service and friendly staff kind of makeup for its shortcomings, but its cinnamon roll needs a lot more work.

Came here with my mentor for lunch and to enjoy my time while I was here. There are no complaints on the food, just the service. My reservation was for 11:15 and we arrived at 11 and the place was empty. From the start, I noticed our server was AWOL and visible once every 15 minutes. She didn’t seem to have a lot of tables assigned. Only 3 as I kept track. She would disappear in the back and sometimes I would see her on her phone texting while walking around. The food came out fast, about 45 minutes in since it took so long to order and took about another 30 to pay the bill since you know who is nowhere to be found. I also made the reservation through opentable and they refused to acknowledge the reservation when I called them. They told open table I was a no show so they don’t have to pay their commission and I don’t get my points. I recommend just going to wildfire down the street for better food and service for the same price.

I used to think this place was so great. Kid-friendly and fancy? Why not? It’s a fraud. We came here for Christmas Eve after a service 2 years in a row. The first year I had a stomach bug so I wasn’t really noticing much. I came again and got the steak frites again. It ain’t good. Service stinks. Our waiter kept saying«sir» and«madam» and then walking away never to be seen from again. I had to repeatedly ask for napkins, crayons, kids menus, water, a glass of wine, and I actually asked for the check 3 times. My son started throwing up and my mom had to take him outside and THREETIMES I asked for our check, as I see our waiter on his phone and shoving cash in his pocket. Just bring me the check! This is a value place, basically, that tries to put lipstick on a pig. It’s on par with Silver Diner with not Silver Diner prices. In fact, I would RATHER eat at the Silver Diner with my kids to avoid the phony service and higher prices. Won’t be returning next Christmas Eve.

2.5 stars. Came here for brunch. Good location. Food was average. Corn-flakes French toast was not bad, but eggs were«diluted» too much. Potatoes were very average, tad soggy. At least they weren’t over-seasoned. A very relaxing atmosphere.

Yummy brunch here. Service isn’t that great, but it’s busy on Sundays I guess. The Croque Madame is to die for. Easily the best sandwich I’ve had in my memory! If the service was awesome I’d give five stars, but if you don’t mind the weak wait staff, you can get some very good chow. Oh ya… my friend tells me the dinner and lunch menu isn’t that great. She recommends the brunch menu only.

We went here after church and the staff is AMAZING!!! We had a few issues with the food being correct but the manager and hostesses made sure to comp our meals and cocktails! The food is good and the vibe is even better. I will be back and will tell others to go as well.

I’ve always wanted to try this place. Their outdoor seating area has always looked appealing. We came on a Thursday afternoon and had immediate seating outside. The server was attentive and friendly. They have a pretty big menu but I read so much about their Mac and cheese, I had to try it. Their flat breads reviews sounded good too so we ordered that along with a chicken pot pie. Well, the Mac and cheese was good, but too bad it was served cold. I think they were waiting for the chicken pot pie which was all fluff/crust. Once you cut into it, there wasn’t much filling. And the flat bread was also on the cool side, but tasty. I guess this goes under«poor execution.» Nice atmosphere though…

A totally safe option for a group, or when you don’t know exactly what you want. It’s your typical«American» eatery with a hodgepodge of foods. Some are done pretty well, while most are simply fine – nothing to write home about. And it wouldn’t be DC if the prices weren’t a tad inflated. To their credit, they seem to actually make most stuff from scratch and use fresh ingredients. Happy hour(M-F until 7pm, not sure when it starts) is a little better. The food, of course, is the same quality but the discount makes it more worthwhile. You can get a half order of the mussels in your choice of three broths, and the flatbreads are pretty good. Beer selection is kind of weak, with just a handful of drafts that could use some variety. I can get Sierra Nevada and New Belgium pretty much anywhere… if they rotated in a few locals OR tapped any craft brew that wasn’t an IPA, it’d be an improvement. And last time around when sitting at the bar for dinner, service was pretty slow – my drink was empty for a long time even though I was one of four guests in the bar area.

Basically a French bistro with some American comfort food thrown in, Café Deluxe offers a full bar with 6 taps, interesting and affordable food, a great patio plus good service — I’m a fan. The Tyson’s outpost of this little chain is quite a large place and there’s plenty of parking. But alas the lamb sammich seems to have disappeared from the menu. Drafts on this visit were Blue Moon, Stella, Sierra Nevada, Ranger IPA, Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA and Yuengling — respectable if not coltishly crafty — 5 to $ 6.50 each. I was happily surprised to see a caipirinha on the menu. but I should have harkened to Unilocal tipper Ron D., it was a undersized poor excuse for the Brazilian speciality, not recommended, especially not at $ 10. Arancini app brings perfectly fried cheesy rice balls, resting in a nice puddle of thick tomato sauce and laced with fresh basil leaves, yum! But spendy at about $ 8 for 3 golf-ish sized chunks. They also bring out a bit of fresh bread with butter, but our table of 7 only got one tiny little basket that wasn’t ever refilled, wtf is up with that? Started with a Caesar salad that had a rich thick anchovy dressing plus plenty of shaved parmiggiano reggiano cheese on top, very tasty, not too pricey at $ 7. I tried the mussels fra Diavola which were *outstanding* — the sauce wasn’t red glop, it was basically a chunky spicy fresh tomato and onion salsa that had been cooked just enough to soften the veg, so yummy, I would have licked the pot but it was too deep lol. Highly recommend, fairly reasonable at about $ 17. Vegetarian rating: 1 star for the paucity of choices, the only thing you might call a veg entrée is a flatbread aka pizza, there’s not even a veggie patty among the burgers. There are several meat-free sides like haricots vert and mac&cheese, you can get a plate of any 4 for $ 14, maybe call that a meal. Oh also salads but like I said my Caesar salad was loaded with anchovy so even there you have to tread carefully. Sitting on the patio here is a fine way to spend an evening, cane chairs make you feel — well maybe a little — like you’re in Paris.
