It’s quite nice bowl but I feel the sauce options are too limited. It has punch card to use.

This place is awesome! I always look forward to coming here when I’m at the Tysons Mall. I always get the brown rice, spicy tofu, and whatever of their fresh veggies I am feeling. The staff are friendly and fast. This is definitely one of the more healthy options in the area but has a lot of flavor and easy on the wallet.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Korean Chipotle in Tysons Mall. I had a kimchi bibimbap bowl(with beef and fried egg), and it was really good. The portions were large, the meat was tender, and the bowl was overall very flavorful. It seemed healthy, and I liked that they had an option for brown rice. I would definitely go back if i needed a quick lunch in the mall.

Surprisingly delicious! I wasn’t expecting much from this place since it was just a fast food spot in the mall. However, it was actually very good and well priced. Definitely coming here again.

I love this place! I don’t go to the mall often but when I do, I always grab a bibimbop bowl from Mixing Bowl. Its right next to Cinnabon on the first floor in front of the sushi restaurant. It’s very much like a chipotle where you can customize your rice bowl or wraps. My go to is the Kimchi Bowl which is a ‘specialty’ and you can order it as is. It has beef, zucchini, cucumbers, lettuce, kimchi and a fried egg on the top with Korean spicy sauce(or you can get nonspicy sauces too). For a fast food place, the bibimbop is fresh, authentic and delicious! The owner lady is also super nice. The price is right at around $ 10 for a specialty bowl and it’s a huge portion! Following the footsteps of Chipo, cava and Shophouse, I think Mixing Bowl will catch on sooner or later!

I’m so happy this Korean/Asian style version of chipotle exists in tysons. It’s a good to go place when your hungry for something substantial and not a lot of time . I’m a person that seems to usually get the same thing, white rice bowl, spicy pork, mushrooms, seaweed, bean sprouts, and kimchi. Oh don’t forget the sesame ginger sauce they put on. It’s an ok value at around $ 9. I can usually down the whole thing and I’m ready to go. They have an arrange of proteins like chicken and beef and tofu as well, it’s a pick what you want style concept.

Ok so this is not a top notch Korean restaurant. It’s in the mall by shoe stores. Come on now. But for a quick healthy meal in the mall and have it still be yummy?!? This place is awesome! Or I have a serious problem and love bibimbap. They have different sauces instead of just the usual red pepper paste if you don’t like it. I do like how they have the option of miso soup and egg, just wish this place was a littttttlllle cheaper for what they give you or not charge extra for an egg.

Great alternative if you don’t want to eat the usual mall food. Not the best Korean food but it does the job!

I Always get the spicy tofu soft taco. When I want a healthy quick meal, I don’t have a problem to stop by solo and get a quick fix and getting back on he road. Tacos can be messy so make sure to grab a fork so you don’t waste all the healthy veggies thy fall out. I need to try something new but just can’t.this is a great healthy Asian chipotle concept.

I like the bibimbap here. No, it is nowhere near the quality of Woo Lae Oak but it’s in the mall for goodness sake! For the location and price, it is one of my favorite lunch spots in Tysons mall. The spicy pork is very spicy especially with more spicy sauce. The beef and plain chicken are flavorful and the veggie toppings are fresh and change often enough to keep me interested. The egg on top is a must! Depending on the staff, service could be slow or fast, friendly or not, generous or stingy. But I think this goes with the territory in the food court. The lady who I think is the manager is always nice.

I really like bibimbap so even though this is 2 stars, I will probably eat here again. Reasons for the low rating: The guy assembling the food just skips the tongs and grabs the food with his(plastic glove covered) hands Ran out of ingredients Asked the cashier for chop sticks; she pointed to an empty container. Had to ask two more times to get them. Asked cashier for red sauce on the side and she just ignored me. As for the flavor and all, this was mediocre.

I ordered the classic bibimbap bowl and subbed out the soybean sprouts for mushrooms. I’m not a fan of the spicy red sauce, nor of wasabi or ginger(I swear I’m not as picky as this makes me sound!) so it came down to the cilantro lime sauce, which made for an interesting mix of flavors. The beef was a bit too sweet, but I always feel that way about bulgogi. My favorite part, to be honest, was the rice. I love white rice and could eat bowls and bowls of it. All in all, it was decent food court food. If I do come back, I may try a burrito or the tacos.

Not your typical fast food but a much more healthier version of Korean chipotle style bibimbap. I was looking for chipotle but couldn’t find it. Then I decided to have this for a quick lunch before shopping. I had the bowl with spicy chicken, brown rice, lettuce and four toppings. As for the toppings, there are many options including kimchi, pickled veggies, zucchini, mushrooms and etc. I picked spinach, zucchini, mushroom and kimchi. Finally, you can top it with your favorite sauce. I like cilantro lime(45 calories only) mixing with gochujang. The portion is very generous, good amount of protein. The spicy chicken has just the right amount of heat. For people who like spicy food, ask for the gochujang sauce and it will set your mouth on fire. Overall, as far as food court option goes, it is a very solid and healthy option.

Okay how does this place not have better ratings? Seriously, this is everything I want and more in fast food — a Chipotle-style Korean meal. I ordered bibimbap bowl with spicy chicken which came with the most delectable spices. Then I selected brown rice in lieu of white, along with shiitake mushrooms, seaweed pieces, kale, lettuce, and kimchi all on top. There were so many amazing sauces that I asked for /to go, including my all time favorite Korean style sauces: both spicy and not. But I was able to take some extra with me to give my already amazing bowl even more fantastic flavor! So basically I’m obsessed with this place and I’m actually pretty disappointed it took me until now to find out about it. Better late than never!

I wanted to love this place, but Mixing Bowl falls short of expectations. Conceptually, I love the idea of a «fast food» bibimbap that is fully customizable. They also have lettuce wraps and some other options if you aren’t sold on a rice bowl. This is definitely one of the healthier food court options at the mall, which is why I decided to give it a try. I got the bibimbap with brown rice, half spicy chicken and half spicy tofu, and my choice of four toppings. There are traditional add-ons like bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumbers, etc. but there’s also items like kale which is pretty cool. You can also add a fried egg for $ 1 — highly recommended. There’s also a choice of sauces but I stuck with the reliable gochujang(spicy chili sauce). Portion size is decent for the price of ~$ 9 if you choose to add on the egg. The kimchi was delicious however the tofu and chicken both lacked flavor and were not truly spicy. The chicken was also poorly sliced, which made the bowl hard to eat. Parts of the chicken still had the tendons attached(not my favorite…) and many pieces were even dry/rubbery. Service was fast. I don’t think I would come back again though.

Mixing Bowl is my favorite place for lunch, by far. Creating the perfect bibimbap bowl combination of rice(brown or white), protein options(meat or vegetarian options), vegetables(14 different ones to chose from), sauce(my favorite is gochujang, red and spicy, but the sesame/ginger and cilantro/lime are delicious too) is so much fun. I love to add a fried egg to top it off. It’s a very healthy dish, less than 500 calories per bowl, a well balanced meal with a great opportunity to enjoy healthy vegetables. My favorite four are: kale, broccoli, kimchi and edamame. The staff is super friendly and helpful, always with a welcoming smile and a chat! Our company moved to the Tyson’s Corner area in July 2014. Within the last 9 month I had over 80 bibimbaps from Mixing Bowl. How do I know, you wonder? Mixing Bowl has a generous loyalty card system, where after ten bibimbaps you get one free and I’m on the 8th card,(10+1)×7=77 plus the punches in the 8th card.

What a great idea! I love bibimbap so I was extremely excited to see this option available in a sea of unhealthy fast food stops at Tyson’s mall. You can customize your bowl how you want and it’s a very simple process — as many have noted, it’s very much like Chipotle. It’s also pretty healthy as most of the sides are just fresh veggies. I got the beef bibimbap with brown rice, soybeans, edamame, zucchini, and carrots… with an egg on top and gochujang sauce of COURSE. No matter what meat/veggies you get, add the spicy-sweet gochujang sauce and egg! The portion was pretty large. Only odd thing was that I got mine to go, and they didn’t have a top for my bowl, so they just put tinfoil over it… A little odd and difficult to transport that way, but that’s a small issue and easy fix. TIP: If you opt out of the rice and do a salad, the cilantro lime dressing is pretty tangy and tasty, but a little thicker than I had imagined it’d be. Get a side of that and a side of gochujang :)

It’s like the Korean version of chipotle! I’ve tried both the lettuce wraps and the bowl so far and enjoyed it. Great veggi options if only we could have the option of adding more toppings but its not a big deal. Other than that, add the egg because trust me it’s worth it.

This is like the Chipotle of Korean food! You pick your carb, protein, sides, and sauce and BA-DA-BING, there you are! I love it because you can customize your meal just the way you like it. I started doing the Paleo diet, and for those who don’t know what it is, just know that there are a ton of random restrictions. Can’t eat beans. Can’t eat dairy. Can’t eat bad carbs. Which means — no bread, no rice, no sugar!:(Uhg I need some Asian food in me!!! So with this system, I can add all the stuff I want and leave out all the stuff I can’t have. The most popular item is the bibimbap with spicy pork. You get to choose 4 toppings I believe, and those range from kimchi to kale, sprouts, mushrooms, corn, lettuce, and more. Plus, you can add a fried egg for $ 1. Simple concept. Delicious food. Great for lunch. I’m sold!
