Lousy service!!! The bartender was inappropriately rude and lacking any real customer service skills. I can understand being busy with no support but that is no excuse to be disrespectful to customers that are paying for service. If we ever come back to McMinnville, we will not be coming back here

Blue Moon is great! The best American café diner style food you can get in Oregon. Robot voice the chef is amazing. The server in the morning that carries around a ear trumpet is really nice just hard of hearing. The woman who bar tends at night is the rudest nasty person I’ve ever in countered.

Wow, this place was terrible. I was excited to be going out for the night. We decided to go here for food and a drink. The waitress was horrible. She made it clear that she did not want us there from the moment we walked in. We should have left at that point but we were trying to have a good evening. She walked up to us and said what do you want? We asked for a menu. I asked if they had any good rootbeers. She said«We are a bar.» I was the designated driver and had just came from a different bar that had a nice selection of rootbeers. She brought us our food and then we didn’t see her again until she put the check on our table. If they are a bar as she had so bluntly stated I would think that since no one was visibly drunk she would ask if we would want more to drink or eat instead of bringing us the check without saying anymore words to us. Obviously this place will not get our business again. I wish I would have read Marc P.‘s review before we went there as it would have explained her attitude towards us and we wouldn’t have went there.

We go almost every Sunday for breakfast. It is a basic, but delicious breakfast. The bloody Mary’s are good and spicy. The French toast is simple yet somehow addictive. Omlettes are also simple but tasty. It is a bit of an old-school dive but that’s part of the charm!

Check your tab, the bar maid was friendly at first, but after we ordered our first drinks she was so RUDE! A regular at the bar came by and said, «watch your account», we didn’t know what he meant until we were leaving and she said we owed $ 140.00 for our first round of drinks(7 lemon drops and 2 glasses of wine) We paid for all of our other rounds as we got them. When we asked to review our 140.00 tab she said we wouldn’t understand the tab or the way it was written… yeah because she was scamming us! We probably spend close to 400.00 there besides the other 140.00 she claimed we owed, which I am guessing she pocketed it! I contacted the bar today and asked to talk to the owner, she got on the phone and grilled me as to why I was calling, that the owner wouldn’t call me back unless I told her why! This was my first time to McMinnville, I will NEVEREVER go to this bar again!

Dear fun people, After 35 years I discovered that the woman I was inlove with since childhood in Brussels Belgium was living for more than 20 years in the US. I finally found her here in McMinnville OR. Thank you Mr Zuckerberg !!! ;) I took a flight and finally got my first kiss. And more. Oh yes, the very same day: D . Everytime I would go the see her, we’d go the Blue Moon and have a blast! I love this place so much. Ok I’m Belgian, but good music, super atmosphere and people on the edge, what can beat that? On night we went there and met a band of Alumni from High School or College. They were so much fun! Does anybody recognize any of them?

Many of my friends really seem to like this place, but my first visit was not good at all. My friends had told me this place was nice, fun, and friendly with an old-town feel to it, so naturally I was excited to go. I’m a big fan of old bars with a lot of character and a mellow feel, but the experience that I had left me feeling very uncomfortable. So, let me preface this by saying that I am openly gay and I fully realize that McMinnville can be on the conservative side of the political spectrum, but in my 4 years of living in this town I had never had a poor experience in regards to who I am. I walked in the door on a Saturday night wearing pink plaid and was immediately met with scowls from the bar patrons. I didn’t pay much mind to it and went to sit with my friends to have a beer and chat. Once we decided what we wanted we went to the bar to get our drinks and the bartender was quite nice to my friends, but when it was my turn to order she became very short with me and snatched my ID and credit card from me when I handed them over. She also flung them back at me when she was done with them. My beer was delivered in a similar fashion, spilling a good portion of it. This is when I got uncomfortable and could tell that maybe I shouldn’t be there. My friends were all treated very nicely, but I certainly was not. I don’t know if it had to do with my sexuality, personality, or just my fashion choices, but I do know I was treated differently. I did not finish my beer and left well before my time to go get a drink somewhere else because I got nervous of people staring at me. Needless to say, I will not be going back. (They did have a good selection of beer, so that’s nice)

It grows on you after a while. The thing about the Blue Moon is that the people there get to know you. I’m talking about the people behind the bar as well as the people lounging around the tables or slot machines. It’s a cash only place so make sure you go to the ATM before coming inside. There’s a jukebox where you can pick out some music and dance in the small area in front of it. Just please respect the other people in the bar; don’t pick lame music. That’s just cruel. If you’re having a night out in downtown Mac and need a place to chill, it’s definitely a place you might want to drop in for a while.

Burgers are great and so are chef salads for healthier option. Feel like you’re back in the olden days smoking bar without the smoke.

Been going to the Moon for many years now. The service is always excellent and if you want stick to your ribs American cooking this is the place to go. Simple food but always cooked to perfection, even their homemade ranch dressing makes the simple salads they serve absolutely delicious. My favorite the gigantic chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and country gravy is incredibly satisfying .For simple American fare you won’t find anyplace better.

Was a cute place to stop into to down a few drinks and sand but they definitely cater to the locals. If you aren’t a local expect to get passed over a few times. I do have to give kudos to the cook the day we stopped in. he gave me something extra even though I didn’t want /order fries he gave me some. Was nice to try them. Although didn’t want but that was ok since fries were extra

The Blue Moon looks like it has been here for a long time Not broken-down looking but definitely weathered a bit. The beer selection is fine, as long as you want a pale lager. They have about a dozen different options in that style, or you can get a Widmer Hefeweizen. I went with the hefe. Service was a little slow. This was partly because the server was busy chatting up the regulars sitting at the bar. I didn’t catch the entire conversation but apparently she and some friends were doing Jaeger shots with some some random soft drink at her place recently because that’s all they had to drink. The Blue Moon offers two steak dinners for $ 19.95. I was dining alone, so I went with the burger and fries. The hamburger was juicy and the fries were crisp. They take only cash, but there is a tiny ATM inside, so you’re still OK if you don’t have any folding money in your pocket when you walk in.

Great little bar, reminds me of an old bar you see in a film where old dudes are sitting at the bar drinking life away with a younger couple in a booth drinking and eating in love… nice little place

regularly love this place. I usually stay away during sports events, 1st of the month and weekend evenings. Instead, this is one of my favorite haunts for a Mon-Thur evening dinner. Still undergoing some improvements and renovations. I almost always get the chicken fried steak. Though one time they were out and another time they were out of the sausage gravy. Fries are a little soggy at times. However, and I’m not being facetious, the iceberg lettuce salad is awesome. No wilting and extremely cold and fresh. You can’t beat the surly waitresses. Definitely a locals place. The marquis outside says 2 steak dinners, $ 18.95. I also like the chicken strips with fries. 3 TVs, a juke box, video poker machines will keep you entertained. They only take cash. But there’s an ATM located inside.
