had a great time wine testing. They even opened a bottle of their sparkling rose for us and plenty of extra tastes of wines not on the tasting menu for no additional charge.

Great Ambiance — Delicious bubbly, yummy rosemary cashew nuts, and can’t wait for the crab event this Winter. Great place to visit.

Our group of five had a wonderful time at R Stuart. Carrie was amazing; full of information and going the extra mile. She found extra bottles of port and made sure we got them at our restaurant! She was hospitable, fun and knowledgable. We’ll be back and bringing all our friends!

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend away in wine country. We stopped in here for a tasting before dinner. The wine is amazing and the staff couldn’t be friendlier, more educated or fun to be around! We can’t wait to come back!

Phenomenal staff – really knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and just fun. They marked up a map for us with their other favorite tasting rooms, and made a reservation for us for an appointment-only tasting, as well. They get five stars! Wines are good, too.

Had an amazing wine tasting experience here. Friendly staff… great wine! Casey was amazing and really took care of us. We were also on the fence about which italian restaurant we should visit and we went with her suggestion(Nick’s) and it was amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

This place blew my mind. I came to McMinnville on my birthday and stopped at many winery tasting rooms. This was one of our last stops, and not only were the girls working the first of the day to tell me happy birthday, but I was beyond entertained while I enjoyed my kind. We conversed, they offered suggestions of other places to stop, and they were beyond knowledgeable. I highly recommend everyone to check out this place!

Amazing staff. Blew my mind. Incredibly personable. Great wine as well. Staff went above and beyond to make my girlfriends birthday outstanding. Stood out above the many other competitors in the immediate area. Definitely a must go if you’re looking for an amazing spot to relax and have a glass or two.

What a gem! We trekked to McMinnville for dinner on our last night in Oregon, and stopped in here for a pre-dinner drink. It was my birthday and I was given a glass of champagne on the house immediately to start the celebrating. I sampled a flight of Pinots after the champagne, and was filled in on the qualities of each wine as I did so. Every member of the staff was amazingly friendly, and we talked for the better part of an hour about wine, work, and other life events. We were even slightly late to our dinner reservation, the conversation was so enjoyable. I definitely suggest stopping in here for some wine if you’re in the area!

This wine bar is perfection – in my dreams, I would design a wine bar exactly like this cozy little place on the main drag in McMinnville. Of course, the wines are superb and the cheese plates along with the home made crostini with the onion marmalade are amazing. The staff is super knowledgable and exceedingly friendly. They also have Heater Allen draft beer for those times when you feel like drinking a beer. I know I’m having a great afternoon when I find myself and my wife hanging out at this spot.

Quaint little wine shop in downtown McMinnville! We enjoyed going there after dinner for drinks, conversation and relaxation. They had a few tables outside, but they fill up quickly. I’d recommend stopping in for a glass. It’s quiet and staff is very knowledgeable.

This wine bar is small, pleasant atmosphere, and most importantly, the wine is just right. I also found out their appetizers and recipes are provided by Nicks across the street, One bias star added right there alone. R. Stuart doesn’t have their own vineyard, they buy their grapes from all over Washington and Oregon. I’ve finally gotten a taste for Pinot Noirs. It has taken me over three years of being ripped away from my Bordeaux heavy home and brought to Oregon where Pinot is king. The Big Fire Pinot Noir is my standard for judging all other pinots. That is my «throwdown» wine of choice. I can drink a bottle to myself without even thinking. The reserve pinots R. Stuart offers only get better. I’m a member now. That should speak volumes.

Cool place! The tasting was fun! And our hostess was very informative and patient about the wine questions we had. Very clean. The 2011 Big Fire Dry Rose is a great bottle! I loved it! I also enjoyed the NV Rose D Or, Brut! You should really give this place a try!

The land of Pinot noir you say? Ummm, I’m in! This little wine spot is the home to R Stuart wine. I attended a baby shower here & it was definitely my kind of shower! The wine was excellent ! The snacks of roasted nuts truly hit the spot & the Pinot noirs were amazing! The perfect blend of light woodsy goodness! I bought a few bottles & alas, they did not make it home with me… They were so great I was compelled to share the wealth!

Located in the center of McMinnville this makes for a great little place to stop pretty much any time of day. They have espresso and coffee of good quality for a little earlier, and a great line up of wines for later. I like going in the afternoon and having both(coffee and wine!). There is also little tasty bites to keep you satisfied. I especially like their sparkling rose and pinot noir. They also have cool wine club events like dinners with Bent Brick and Aviary, and often participate in community celebrations, making them a favorite with the locals. It’s a sweet, charming spot and very reflective of what Mac is all about.

R Stuart runs a decent little tasting room in downtown McMinnville that’s(thankfully!) open past the 5pm hour(when most other tasting rooms close) so it’s a good spot to hit when you’re on your way back in to town from your day of driving around to wineries. They offer tastes through the Big Fire and R Stuart labels as well as some snacky-time treats like cheese puffs, crab cakes, cheese plates and… well… what wine bars tend to serve. Nibbles(god I loathe that word, but it works here). The girl running the wine bar on the evening we were in was snarky and fun. She was doing everything — pouring, making food, etc — so nothing moved fast around there, but when you’re in for a tasting, it shouldn’t be a sprint. Just be aware that if you’re looking for a fakey reception, you’ll get something a little more real here. But that fits with the brand. R Stuart’s wines are tasty. Some are a little high priced for the flava, but I did like one of the cuvees enough to score a bottle. I’ve tasted these wines a bunch and have been a fan of the Big Fire as a decent bang-for-your-buck pinot. It’s more of an all-occasion wine, but I think that’s what it’s designed to be. For those looking for whites, this room offers a whites-only tasting(with one rosé) and they even(if I recall correctly) have a sparkling on hand. The other tasting routes you through their reds. Either way, you get a decent amount of wine for the price.

Finally, DT McM has several places to sip & taste & nibble. R. Stuarts wine bar offers many of his great wines & very light food – cashews, cheese, crackers. Super service, beautiful interior, and did I mention the wines? Outstanding. I bought a LOT! If you haven’t been to McM in a while it has really changed. Many more restaurants, wine bars, less junk. And get out to Carlton too – wow! 14 wineries pouring & more coming.
