Does this look like a $ 12 meal to anyone else? Then they wanted $ 2.50 more for a drink or a dollar fifty for water. I know I won’t be coming back ever and it took them 50 times to ring me up even though I was paying cash because someone was playing on the computer and back.

The burgers are so thinly made they don’t stay together. Their homemade chips were cold, and hard and their ranch dip was squirted out of a salad dressing bottle. It is definitely NOT worth the price. Won’t ever go back again!

That was a waste of $ 28! Only two burgers, one order if fries, one shake and one fountain drink. They forgot my mushrooms and shake. When I went back up they put 4 mushroom slices on my burger and said they were working on my shake. No one was at the shake station. I asked for a cup for water and was told I had to buy a bottled water. Halfway through lunch still no shake, so I had to go back up. Again I was told they were working on it, but still no one at shake station. One more time asked for shake. Done lunch ready to leave and out comes the shake… Fries cold, burgers Ok, service horrible!

This was my first time eating at a Wayback Burger. The menu had a decent selection and generally speaking the service was passable. The quality of the food was not at all standout. After learning that they no longer offer water from the soda fountain like most restaurants I purchased a $ 1.50 bottle of water — the only water option. I requested a cup to put the water in with some ice and was offered a shot glass-sized plastic cup. It appeared to have held 1.5−2 ounces. Not large enough for any quantity of ice and water. I asked the purchase price of a drink cup for ice…$ 2.45. Long story short it is apparently against the policy of the restaurant or the franchisee to give a larger cup for water or sell a cup for the price of a paper cup. So after buying a $ 21 lunch including a $ 1.50 bottled water and being denied a reasonably sized cup for some ice I will not be patronizing the Wayback again. «Wayback» must not be indicative of a time when decent customer service was a foundation of business. The cost of repeat business for Wayback is the cost of a cup.

Took my 4 year old son there for lunch. The price was super high for lunch for a the 2 of us, $ 25. Ordered the kids cheeseburger and fries and upgraded to a milkshake. I ordered the patty melt, which I thought was supposed to come on sourdough bread, onion rings and small milk shake. My sandwich was a pile of grease and as soon as I picked it up ran all over me. The bread was a regular bun turned upside down. The onion rings would have been good if the onions were a good onion, they were bitter and chewy. Very disappointed and will not be going back. Subway is next door, will go there next time. This was just way overpriced and disappointing food.

Good bugers… but overpriced. I bought one of their average priced burgers and a bottle of water for $ 9.51. I should get much more for my money. You should only go here if you’re rich or starving.

Been there only once. Too expensive for the size and quality of the food portions. Good burger but you’re better off leaving Tanger and going 1 mile south on Mebane Oaks Road to the HWY55(Andy’s) at the Walmart complex. They have friendly service, good prices and the best chain burgers in the area.

This restaurant was just ok. I have eaten there twice. The first time I ordered a burger and fries which was about what you would expect from a fast food joint, though the fries were a little soggy. The second time, I had the chicken tenders which I was very disappointed in. They were not real meat but instead processed chicken. Also, since the menu is al la carte, a meal can be pretty pricey for the food quality — $ 10 or more. The service was reasonably quick and the staff was polite. Overall, however, I would not recommend.

You should probably just eat at Auntie Anne’s if you’re dying of hunger and can’t wait until to leave the outlets to eat. My milkshake was good though(it was also $ 5.38…)

Pretty good food and quick service. However, it is definitely too pricey for an order-at-a-counter burger place. It was about $ 25 for two burgers, fries, and drinks, and I didn’t find it any better than a place like Five Guys.

This place isn’t perfect, but it’s your best option at the Tanger outlet complex in Mebane.(Anybody wanna spot me some dough to open up a Chipotle franchise or something here?) The only other restaurants are a Subway and a pizza place, so it’s nice to come in the Wayback and have the fresh, made-to-order options. I always go for a turkey burger and choose from among the toppings. Usually I get a salad with it, but they don’t really have a side salad option – it’s full-size and too much food with the burger. So this time I got fries on the side and they were a little bland. The turkey patty was smallish as well, but it had great flavor and seasoning and their topping options offer a good range. The place can get busy and it tends to be kind of a slow-moving line, because everybody has to study the menu to decide on their toppings if they don’t go with one of the pre-set options. This can cause some traffic tie-ups getting back and forth to your table to pick up your food or refill a drink, since the cashier line goes straight down the middle of the space. But the staff is unfailingly friendly. There’s an outdoor seating area with a playground, for those foolish enough to bring children to a shopping center. It’s nice to sit out there in good weather, so long as the kiddies aren’t playing too loudly. I should mention it ain’t cheap, but given the blandness of the other food options at Tanger, I wasn’t too horribly bothered that the value for money isn’t spectacular.

I’m perplexed by the bad reviews. I love their turkey burger with the barbecue Bleu sauce. The guys are always so friendly. Delicious onion rings. I live an hour away but I’ll stop anytime I’m going through. It’s not super cheap, but it’s super tasty.

You would think a restaurant in an outlet mall might also be a place offering some value. You would be wrong in this case. As many other reviews have mentioned, no cups for water available-only bottled.(why didn’t I ck Unilocal before eating here-excellent question for which I don’t have a good explanation). So a small single patty burger, onion rings, and water came to $ 10.28. The burger was freshly made, but average quality at best. Don’t waste your time/money.

They would not give me a cup for tap water. They said it was against their policy. If I wanted tap water, I had to buy a fountain drink or have my own cup. Seriously? They told me that too many people were filling the water cups with soda. After asking to speak with a manager, they did offer me a cup, but being clear that they were making a huge exception for me and this could get them all in trouble. I declined the cup. I don’t want to be the exception… I want them to change their policy. I had bought two burgers, chips and a shake, so, it wasn’t like I wasn’t spending money there. What is funny to me is that what would a cup for water cost them to give me? Heck, charge me 35cents for it… but now they have lost a customer and possibly more if anybody decides not go here because of my review. The food was alright. I will ask… if you go there… ask for a cup of water and then, if you are declined, ask that they change their policy because it is a stupid one.

Extremely expensive — 2.50 for a regular fountain drink, or $ 25 for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks. It’s not wage you want to pay in a regular fast food restaurant especially considering the fact that the food is just ok. Another bad thing is that the majority of the table are dirty even when the restaurant is only half full, it wasn’t easy to find a relatively clean table here. DONOTRECOMMEND!

Save your money. And go to five guys. I’ve gotten better food and service from a run down fast food place. The worst fries ever. And I really question the cleanness of the place. Just saying, I’ll not be stopping in there again.

They suck and I will never go back there again. I spend $ 40 on lunch for the family and when I asked for a cup for water I was told that my options was to buy bottled water or pay full price for a soda to get a cup so I can get water from the soda machine.

Situated in a newly opened tanger mall between Greensboro and Durham, this is only one of the three restaurants located in this mall. I wasn’t feeling really hungry and wanted something light for a late lunch after having a heavy breakfast, we came in here only saw burgers and fries on the menu! We were happy to see that they had salad there as well, and the only choice there was, was a caeser salad! So we got two of those, one crispy and one grilled. Our salads came with two fountain drinks came out to be $ 27 crazy! Mind you that it was only a shallow dish with a few lettuce and a pice of chicken. The salad came with lots of sprinkled cheese and burnt croutons, but it still satisfied our small appetites. My grilled chicken was actually moist and my bf’s crispy chicken was crunchy. All in all, in a newly opened tanger outlet, you really get what you paid for, second class food.

After reading all the Unilocal reviews of this place, I was very skeptical of going here to get anything. Well all the review were true. The burgers looked small, and the staff seemed to hate life. Luckly, I only stopped in for Milkshake, which was easy to make and used hershey’s ice cream. The milkshake got an A, but i would never eat there. Its also very expensive for anything.
