This place is great! The staff is friendly and the food is great which the number one reason it gets a 5 star. The food is what sets it apart.

This is a pretty mediocre breakfast place to say the least. It’s true that there aren’t many options in this area but just a shirt trip down the road in Mechanic Falls called Kathy’s Diner is worth the 10 or so minute drive from Eggceptional. Ever since Eggceptional opened after Egg-cetra closed this place hasn’t been the same. They did open up a larger dining area and there isn’t nothing outright bad about the food or service but there really isn’t anything«eggceptional» about it. I always get the omelets and the serving sizes are huge. There’s always a crowd weekend mornings, but basically might as well make breakfast at home.

Let’s just say that around these parts, your options are limited, so it’s nice to have a friendly place to grab breakfast or lunch. Doreen and Ron have created a great casual stop for you and your family to enjoy. Friendly staff, plenty of seating, a big menu and convenient for either locals or visitors heading down Rt 26. I’ve only had breakfast here, but have always been happy. They serve up big plates, so come hungry!

I eat here often and am a big fan of the breakfast sandwich but also enjoy the other egg dishes. This is a no frills restaurant but if you are in the mood for a basic bacon and eggs, breakfast sandwich, or omelet then this will not disappoint. They use double yolked eggs which are huge and they keep the home fries basic but good and always cooked through, they also offer hash browns. I do highly recommend keeping it simple, not sure I would feel right about recommending the fruit bowl, stuffed french toast, or even the blueberry pancakes, but keep it simple and you will be back again and again.

Ok. Staff is friendly. The atmosphere is meh. The food is all about quantity not quality. I can’t believe this place has 4 stars… that’s nuts!

100th Review! Been a long time coming and I just couldn’t find the right place to review… so since I am adding this business to the list, thought I’d make it my 100th. This place is a little off the beaten path, but if you’re familiar with the area, you’re already a fan. Had breakfast with some work buds of mine to kick-off a great day of «Team-Building» out on Lake Thompson. I had the ‘5-Corners Traffic Tie-Up’ which is one of their Big Slams. This comes with eggs, bacon, a sausage patty, home fries and toast. The Eggs were cooked a perfect Over-Medium…but they’re known as Double Yolkers. It comes with 3 of these double yolkers… which amounts to 6 medium eggs. Didn’t finish them all, but they were good. The Sausage patty was pretty good and the toast was too. Coffee was really good; fresh and not bitter at all. Instead of Home Fries, I subbed in the Hash Browns for a little more, which I was glad I did. I saw my buddy”s home fries and they look like they came from a bag and not made fresh. Hash Browns may have been pre-product too but they were still good. Bacon was actually a little off… I dunno, I love bacon like anyone else, but it was kinda weird this morning. One of my buds took on the WOF(Wall Of Fame) Omelette challenge: 8 eggs omelette, 5 fillings, a large portion of those home fries and toast. He cleaned up the plate in no time and felt it was hardly a challenge. So, like many others, his mug can be seen on their Wall Of Fame… as you walk in the joint. All in all, I am a fan of this place and would recommend it to anyone who happened by their neighborhood… they were a nice change of pace to what I am used to in the Massachusetts Middlesex County area.
