Why family and I decided to grab some lunch here on Saturday, 11⁄21 after finishing-up some grocery shopping at Wegmans. We were seriously considering just eating at Wegmans, and I wish we had, because Chik Fil A was effing crazy. Atmosphere: I am going to break my traditional format of review and start with the atmosphere. It was one of the most chaotic experiences I have ever had. The parking lot — full… the drive thru lanes — backed-up around the building — the interior dining room — full … literally, not one open seat. Not to mention the mass of people standing at the cash registers ordering and/or waiting for their orders. It was just nuts. So nuts, that I lost my appetite and just let my my wife order food for her and my daughter. I left and waited in the car. It was so ridiculously chaotic in there that I could not even hear myself think. I mean, good for them for doing such a high volume in business, I am sure that it is great to their bottom line; but they need to work on the customer experience. I will never go back to that Chik Fil A because I would much rather dine somewhere that I am not compelled to blow my brains out from the chaos. Atmosphere: 1⁄5 Food: As I mentioned, I did not order anything, but I did munch on some of my family’s leftovers while I was in the car. From what I observed, everything seemed to come out hot, and fresh. How couldn’t it though? The volume of people was so high, that there would have been no conceivable way to get ahead of that. Regardless, the chicken nuggets were better than my wife’s spicy chicken sandwich. At the end of the day, Chik Fil A serves the best chicken products in the ‘fast food’ industry. It is indisputable. Their chicken sandwich, is simply better than everyone elses on a fundamental level. From the breading, to the bun, to the toppings, to the chicken — it is just better. Their nuggets are the same way. They are far superior to anyone else at the same price point. Lastly, their waffle fries kick butt. Dip them in some polynesian sauce — that is my jam. Food: 5⁄5 Service: This is where you can run into trouble at ChiK Fil A. I have had excellent experiences(got a girl’s number once — actually, now that I think of it, that is rather unprofessional, haha), and I have had terrible experiences(Where I have not gotten a girl’s number … just kidding). On this particular occasion, I did not get a girl’s number. Good thing too, as my wife and daughter were right there and I may not have been given any of their leftovers. Regardless though, the service was pleasant. Despite that, I wish they would get a better hold on the volume of their restaurant. They need to do something to make everything more accessible and flow better. Something to corral the masses and make it less chaotic. Additionally, they jacked-up the sauce order. We wanted polynesian, we got BBQ … wah-wahhhhh. I’ll accept part of the blame for not checking our bag before leaving; but I should not have to do that. Service: 3⁄5 Price: For a premium chicken sandwich and high quality sides, I think you get more than what you pay for at Chik Fil A. I happily pay their menu prices and feel like I got a great meal for a more than fair price. Price: 4⁄5 Final Thoughts: This Chik Fil A needs to figure out a way to make their high volume times more manageable for their guests. It is so stressful and helter-skelter in there that I had to leave because I couldn’t even hear myself think. Add to that the fact that there was zero seating available, and it created a bummer of an experience for us. Lesson learned though. If I ever want Chik Fil A in Central PA, I need to go at some wacky-ass off-hour.

Stopped by here for a quick bite after getting my haircut. The food arrived hot and fresh. Nothing special but it doesn’t pretend to be either.

Checked in on 10⁄23. Had a grilled chicken sandwich to go with honey mustard sauce. The drive thru experience was good. They have mastered the process. Two servers take the order and input it in a tablet. By the time you drive to the window, order is ready for pick up. Coming to the sandwich, it was good. Not bad, and, not extraordinary. I could have given 4 stars, but took off one for the parking problems this location has. Friday evening is a difficult time to find parking, since many people eat in.

Had the chicken and biscuit breakfast, pretty good but the chicken piece was smaller than I thought it would be, overall good, but not great.

Being from NY this was our first chick fil a experience. At this point lets just say it’s a good thing these aren’t in NY because we would all be in a lot of trouble. I’ll start out by saying the service was outstanding — we had never been to a chick fil a before and the nice young lady behind the counter cheerfully explained the menu in detail — I don’t think I’ve had nicer service in a 5 star restaurant The original chicken sandwich was crispy juicy goodness topped with some colby jack cheese and their special sauce — out of this world! Waffle fries were crispy and good Restaurant was clean Who could ask for anything more?

A definite plus when it comes to fast food. Never had a bad experience here. The food is good, the service is great, and I find the prices to be fair. If you have never been to one of these restaurants before, put it on your list. So long as you like chicken you’ll like it here.

I Love Chik-Fil-A. Im at the point where I prefer it over the other large restaurant chains such as Red Lobster, Outback, Red Robin, Applebees, etc. Even on a recent vacation I made it a point to go 10 miles out of my way just to eat at a Cick-fil-A! I knew the value would be there with good service and good quality fast food! So far the service has been 4 – 5 stars; the food so far always 5; the dress like a cow day — awesome & fun, cult-like event!; the kids meals are great with books and such; the play areas are usually clean; the store always clean! It is so good, Im almost afraid to keep going since I fear I will be let down some day! So far, Chik-fil-A at its worst has been better than McDonalds at its best! I was surprised to see other reviews that were less than 4 stars :( I hope you enjoy.

I love this Chick-fil-A location. It’s always clean, the staff is well-trained, friendly, and the owner stopped by to greet us and chat with us. This was fast food made slow and enjoyable for a day.

Chick fil a is my go-to for fast food. However at this chick fil a I found my self disappointed. This is the only CFA I’ve been to with sub par service and equally disappointing food. There seemed to be 15 people working, yet most of them were sitting around talking. Our orders showed up correct on the receipt, but didn’t come out if the kitchen correct. There was an employee in the bathroom speaking on her cell phone(gross). Lastly, my BF and I both thought the chicken didn’t taste normal.

Extremely clean. Every employee goes out of their way to assist(even to throw away your trash or go get you a refill). Always a pleasant meal. Its not politics, its chicken. Awesome chicken, awesome service.

Fast food, dirtier than most. Spiders in the dining room say stay away.

Don’t know what’s wrong with the guy below me, but Chic-Fil-A’s chicken is about infinitely better than KFC’s. KFC reaches a point of not even being edible a lot of times. Chic-Fil-A’s chicken tenders are phenomenal. They compete with Karns for being the best fried chicken tenders around. I’ve also never had any issues with bad service at Chic-Fil-A — the employees there, even the younger ones, have treated me very well.

Just when I thought it wasn’t possible to like Chick-fil-a more, I discovered Chick-fil-a sauce. Its like a hybrid of honey mustard and BBQ sauce mixed with heaven. I only tried it on the chicken nuggets but next time I’m gonna try it on a sandwich. This location was especially busy. The drive thru line wrapped around the building and almost the entire parking lot was full of cars. But within 2 mins of ordering we received all our food. This time I decided to branch out and try the chicken nuggets. I wouldn’t say I was let down but just expected more. They were very small. The tenders probably would have been a little better but the original Chick-fil-a sandwich will always be the best. The employees are always super friendly at all the locations and they were giving out free samples of the peach milkshakes so I tried it. I think I would have enjoyed another flavor more but it was still good.

Lately, I’ve been boycotting Chick-Fil-A due to their company-wide stance on marriage(i.e. it’s not for gays). However, this was my Dear Mother’s dinner request, so an exception was made. It’s your standard Chick-Fil-A setup. Play area in the front, drive-thru that winds around the building. The usual congestion at the front registers while people try to decide where to line up. The place was clean, serves the usual fare. We had the Chicken wrap, but didn’t like the tortilla it was wrapped in– wasn’t the usual wrap, it had lots of large seeds in it, and kept falling apart. Place was full of young families, and some teens. Nobody was rowdy. Crowd moved in and out smoothly, with the exception of front register area. No complaints on the restroom. Fries were good, but when I have to wash ‘em down with a side of guilt, not so tasty.

I LOVE Chick-fil-A! Whenever I go to Mechanicsburg this is where I eat. I love their chicken salad sandwiches and my kids love the nuggets and even though they have referred to the toys in their meals as «lame» or «boring» they do enjoy the play area. The only sad thing is that this one is the only one in the area.

I have been eating chick fil a food since high school when an older friend had a franchise at the east mall in Harrisburg. I moved to York when I returned to PA from Germany in the mid 90’s and the West Manchester location was the next one I frequented. I stopped at a Chick Fil A east of Pittsburgh on the way back from West Virginia and a visit to the Burgh. When I heard Chick fil A was coming to Mechanicsburg I was happy and also heard they were giving away food for the Grand Opening. I avoid lines so I did not partake, but did decide to go back later for a combo. The first experience did not impress me and I wasn’t sure I would be back — the food was ok, not great and the service just borderline. I was hungry after a trip to Wegman’s recently so I decided to give them another shot. I also had seen the recent commercial about the featured menu item: the spicy chicken sandwich which piqued my interest. I pulled in drove around the drive thru and took a second to order after snapping a few exterior pics. The menu is easy to read and I was given ample time to decide. I added a golden wheat bun to my sandwich and substituted american cheese for the pepperjack. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of spice and heat the sandwich packed –it actually warmed my mouth on the first couple bites. I got waffle fries which were salted perfectly and I was satisfied when I was finished so the portion was well sized. They had tasty lettuce and tomato on the sandwich and the meat was tender and juicy. I will come back since the drive thru attendant was very friendly and the service was above average for a quick service restaurant.
