Conte Photography

When my husband and I looked at the sample photos, website, etc, we were very excited to use Conte for our wedding. Even upon meeting with the company, we were convinced our pictures would be amazing. Boy, were we wrong. We should have known after we had our engagement pictures done. The day of, our photographer was pushy and everyone commented on how «bitchy» she was. Then, we actually got to see our photos and our hearts sank. It’s like she had no eye for photography at all. Needless to say, we regret spending $ 1800 for what turned out to be mediocre pictures of the hotel carpet. Look elsewhere!

Do not use Conte for your photo needs because if there is any problems with the pictures Mike Conte will not stand behind his «product».
Conte used a contracted photographer (apparently not on his normal roster for a wedding!) who ruined our wedding photos due to poor lighting and incorrect shutter speed. As a result the pictures were white washed, discolored and streaked! Then when we confronted Mr. Conte about the pictures he did not apologize and said «the picture were that way due to artistic expression»! Weeks later we had him review our pictures again he said our photo developing was the issue. Again no accountability for his photographer and no offers to refund us part of our package deal. Obviously we cannot recreate our wedding ceremony and reception so unless we want to take him to small claims court, we are SOL.
It is now over three years later and we don’t have a single photo of our wedding on display in our house.
This review is very late but it’s the only way I can warn people from using Conte.
Mr. Conte if you read this you should have apologized and showed a little empathy and this could have been avoided. I am not sure you will even remember our situation but I hope you learn from your mistakes.

Tina photographed our wedding on May 24^th and we are INCREDIBLY happy with how it turned out! I chose Conte because of the family-​business feel I got from Mike Conte at our first meeting, and because one of their packages provides the one thing I wanted. Digital high-​resolution copies of all of the pictures provided on DVD with rights to print. Most of the pictures that I will be printing will be for photo albums or weren’t even printed and will just be in albums online. I don’t need expensive prints for that, and wasn’t about to scan over 500 pictures to create online albums. I did pre-​purchase 4 8×10s and 4 5x7s to be able to get professional quality prints of a few for ourselves and family.
Tina was a little late and missed out on the «getting ready» pictures, but honestly, I was so nervous at that point that I think it would have been worse if she was there. The way things turned out, I only have pictures of myself in full makeup and hair, and in my dress already. She was so attentive the whole evening, I don’t know what I would have done without her! She was as concerned with making sure we were okay and didn’t need anything as our maitre d’! The pictures came out beautifully, and she was right. Most of the pictures that I thought «what the hell is she doing???» turned out to be some of my favorites!
Photography, however, is subjective, so feel free to check out the pictures if you’d like.
