Best food ever. I have tired a few things there now but my favorite is the chicken Alfredo yummy. I took my parents there today for the first time and my dad told the cook how great the food was. I will def be back again and again.

Great restaurant to dine in or take out. Friday night I enjoy a Grandma’s Pizza. On special occasions it is a great spot to BYOB and have a great dinner. I recommend to ask the waitress for specials and recommendations. Everything is good!

If you’re looking for something tasteless and bland, this is the place for you. If you want to pour you own soda, this place is for you. Have been twice on weeknights around 8p-9p and was the only patron in the place and service was slow and pasta sauce tasted like tomato paste with a little water added. Absolutely no Italian spices nor acidity in the sauce. Had you squeeze lemon into the sauce at the table for the sauce to have any flavor. Same sauce is thinly spread on their pizzas.

Food is good. But the kitchen service absolutely sucks. The take out service is usually very late. And this is when they are not busy. Restaurant is 20% full and service is running around — so they must be totally inefficient. Wo don’t get it. My last time here. Sorry to see this local place fail like this.

Had dinner here today, my third visit. Definitely like this place. We had 9 people so we made a reservation. Our server was great. She handled everything smoothly, no problem with separate checks for all. We had salads and dinners, chocolate mousse for dessert. Warm fresh baked rolls were brought out, warm pillowy softness sprinkled with parm cheese & garlic. Delicious! I got the parm chicken dinner and they offer a choice of side for those who don’t want pasta with it, which is me. Got the roasted veggies and there were two nice pieces of breaded chicken parm with just the right amount of sauce & cheese. Everyone else was very happy with their meals. I think I am going to go here more often as there are a bunch of yummy looking items on the menu and it was hard to pick just one.

My parents go to DaVinci’s as often as they can — finally took me! I thought the service was attentive and friendly. Our waitress was very personable, which means a lot to me… especially on a Friday night after a long work week! I ordered the large stromboli to share with my mother… we couldn’t finish it, but it was absolutely delicious. My father ordered some sort of hot sandwich(I was too engrossed in my stromboli to notice what kind!) We ordered a Sicilian pizza to go, but I tried some the following afternoon for lunch… delicious! I would definitely recommend this place — friendly staff, great food and comfortable atmosphere.

Consistently delicious. Better than any NYC Pizza. The pasta is perfect. The desserts made by the owners wife are delectable. This food is THEEBEST!!!#!!

Staff and Management are very prejudice. Meal was average. Service was marginal. Left my card at restaurant and went back to retrieve the next day. I asked if I can have my card and Staff asked if I paid for my meal then directed to me management. I then describe to Management my card by color, bank name and full name. Management insisted I go retrieve my ID from my vehicle in order to get it back. Strongly recommend any minorities of color not spend another dime here.

The food here is amazing! I ordered take out and it was ready on time. The restaurant looks like a little dinner when you first walk in and it is a little confusing on where to pick up your order/pay. Their cannolis are just as good as ones I’ve had in NY and Philly and my chicken marcella was excellent.

As I alluded to in my previous review, after eating here with my dad and grabbing a couple of slices of pizza, I was really looking forward to stopping-back here for a nice Italian dinner with my wife. All I can say is, «Wow, how far my opinion has fallen’. Food: Every time we try a new Italian restaurant, we order(roughly) the same thing in order to easily evaluate it against other Italian restaurants. As such, I ordered Calamari as an appetizer, Veal Parmesan for my entrée, a side of meatballs for my daughter, and my wife ordered Pasta Alforno(sort-of like baked ziti). To sum everything up in one word — ‘BLAND’. It’s weird though. The food wasn’t bad, I just never want it again. For me, Italian food is all about bold, rich, and fresh flavors(Basil, oregano, garlic, tomatoes, etc.). The food at DaVinci not only lacked bold and rich flavor, but all of the things we ate lacked a very fundamental seasoning — salt. Calamari: Rubbery, over-cooked, and dusted with a coating that had ZERO flavor. Served alongside a sauce that tasted like a mix of Hunt’s and Ragu.(1⁄5) Sauce: Served on pasta, meatballs, and veal parm. Bland! No seasoning at all. Did it taste like tomatoes? Yes; but that is it. No fresh flavors of basil, oregano, or garlic. Worst of all, no salt and no natural sweetness from the tomatoes. It tasted canned. Very disappointing(2⁄5) Veal: Bland! Unseasoned cutlet of veal breaded in an unseasoned breading, served alongside an unseasoned sauce. The meat was good. I thought the veal was of decent quality; but it was overcooked — thus, rendering it tough. It was nearly impossible to cut with the knife provided. Next time, serve this with a steak knife.(2⁄5) Pasta Al Forno: Haha, you guessed it! Bland. The ziti(noodle) was cooked properly, but the sauce was bland and mixed with what had to be, unseasoned ricotta. It was a one-note dish that bored us after the first bite.(2⁄5) Meatballs: Average Meatballs, but bland and very little texture.(3⁄5) Bread: More on this later, but it was average and the only thing we received that seemed to have SOME flavor(3⁄5) Overall Food: 2⁄5 Service: It was bad. Not horrible, just bad. Yes, it was very busy — packed, even. Honestly, I would rather have extremely slow service, than low-quality service. I wouldn’t mind it if our server took a little extra time, but got everything right. First, a Cardinal Sin for me is not giving your table bread. We had to request it halfway through the meal. At an Italian restaurant, you deliver drinks and bread at the same time. Her excuse? ‘You did not order salads and so that threw me off’. WHAT!!? Additionally, my wife ordered a diet coke. She got water. She decided to just drink the water and deal with it. When our meals came, she forgot the side of meatballs for my daughter. Sigh… Like I alluded to above, so many servers are concerned with providing fast-service, but then falling way-short on the quality. I am out to dinner for an experience that includes good food AND service. If I want fast service at an Italian restaurant, I’ll go to Olive Garden. Service: 2⁄5 Atmosphere: I still really like the atmosphere. I love the feel of the place, the décor, and — well– everything. It is a real shame that the food is not good. Honestly, if they seasoned everything properly, it might be in the ‘good’ column. Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Price: The prices are good. $ 15 for veal Parmesan is good. The problem is, the food wasn’t good. So despite the great prices, I could have had a better experience at Olive Garden, Carrabas, Romano’s — literally, anywhere else(except Scuzzi’s in San Antonio). Price: 2⁄5 Final Thoughts: I am ashamed for DaVinci’s. Additionally, I am ashamed for me. For weeks I built my wife up for what I thought would be some great Italian food, only to be completely let-down by food that had no flavor. Let me reiterate that the food wasn’t bad. It just was nowhere near to what we are used to getting from my kitchen, or from some première Italian eateries back home(Joey’s, Delmonico’s, etc.) I may come back to DaVinci’s for a slice of pizza every now and then — if I am in the area; but I will never return for anything else. I cannot recommend this to anyone. Additionally, I will be amending my original review slightly.

It’s hard to find a real calzone in Central PA — made with actual ricotta! Davinci nailed it! The size was impressive, as well! I look forward to visiting again to try more menu items(though I’ll be tempted to get the calzone again). Clean floors, clean kitchen visible from dining room. Bathrooms are immaculate. The waitress was friendly, patient, and attentive to our group of two adults and five children. The décor is classy. The prices are reasonable.

Have been there many times but very dissatisfied this visit. My sauce was watered down and the most disappointing part was the BYOB fee. We even brought our own corkscrew! Not sure we would return.

Back in town for the Chrysler Nationals car show. A bit earlier than usual, so many friends hadn’t arrived in town yet. But I wanted good Italian. Arrived about 8 pm, place was busy with a couple of groups(20 people maybe)? Ordered the Tour of Italy, stuffed shells, chicken parm, and I’m not sure the name of the third item. Man it was good! They also served a nice piece of bread with the meal and a small caesar salad. Service was great even though they appeared a bit short on wait staff. Parking is plentiful. Pricing is reasonable. I’ll be back.

We enjoyed the food and service when we first discovered this place in the winter, unfortunately neither the food or service is consistent. We have stopped going. I think that possibly when the owner is there the food is good, but I have placed phone calls and tried to place an order and was rushed and they were rude and hung up. I guess they do not need the business! We stopped getting take out and tried going in with the family for sit down meals, but the quality of the food doesn’t seem as good, sadly. It is best to go for lunch, since the dinners are overpriced for the quality of the food. It seems the kitchen staff and waiters are not very experienced and gets flustered when the restaurant is crowded which is why people wait for food and are sometimes treated rudely. It could probably be a good restaurant if they had better business sense and manners.

A true mom and pop Italian diner. Food portions are huge. Great selection of food and very affordable for the quality. It does get busy on the weekends and service gets slow since every meal is made fresh. The décor is very old pizzeria like. Old Booths and tables can get uncomfortable while waiting. It is BYOB. The grandmas pizza is my favorite. The spicy Marinara is really flavorful, The subs are made on fresh baked bread. If only the service was better. I will take the bad service for the great food. I just get up and refill my own drink. The y have room for large groups, but the service is really slow for a large group.

I was expecting more from this place based on the reviews. Service was very slow. Food took an hour to be served, once we got it sauce was watery. We never got our drinks filled up. Nothing like eating Italian thirsty. I even called in after we left because I didn’t want to bring up my concerns there as my husband took me on a «date» night, I spoke with several people that claimed to be the manager, and not one of them apologized for the terrible experience, we will not be back.

Can’t find a better local Italian spot in Mechanicsburg. The owner is friendly and always helping around the place. I have had everything from the pizza to the pasta/seafood dishes; all of which are delicious. It is a great spot to go with friends or a girlfriend and now that I heard it is BYOB that makes things 10 times better. «Best kept local secret» by Nate S. seems to wrap this place up correctly.

Their Gramma’s Pizza is really their attraction they make a really nice crusted square pie. Eaten a few of their dinners for the price of them I would prefer some other of the areas local Italian Eateries. The service is usually friendly and fast and the atmosphere is same olé, same olé pizza place style. Like I said their Gramma’s pizza is what brings it on here!!! BYOB
