Sals has GREAT pizza, among all the other menu items. I love to get my pizza extra crispy. My hubby’s fave is their lasagna. They have great specials, the establishment is always clean, friendly & staff.

When we moved to MBG a few years ago we tried every pizza place nearby. I was disappointed that everyone had the exact same pizza. I found that I liked Sal’s the best because it is less greasy than the rest and the crust is a bit better. We got a chicken bacon ranch pizza one time and it was great but the prices can be a little high for a specialty. I’d love to try their subs

They have amazing cheesesteaks. The workers are extremely friendly and treat their customers with respect. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, it’s a pizza joint so don’t expect a fine dining experience, but food is very good, pizza comes in several tasty varieties and is well-​priced, and the Stromboli is also quite good.
One of the few places you can get garlic knots too! Be sure to check out the bacon-​cheese fries!

Close to my neighborhood. Husband loves the pizza and bolis. I enjoy their salads and their pasta meals (linguini with vodka sauce with chicken is great). Very well priced. The gyro was decent.

Got an order wrong and made no effort to make it right. Female behind counter gave bad attitude and blamed it on me. Too bad because we really liked the pizza, but I don’t want to put up with that again!

This review is strictly based on the meal, because it is a pizza shop; no more or no less should be expected of your dining experience.
I can’t quite give the meal a three-​star rating. let’s say 2.4 so there is no rounding to 3.
Roll of my steak sandwich was slightly burned. Caryn enjoyed the slices of pizza that she ordered, but she can review that when she creates her own account to Unilocal!
If the meat and sauce oozed awesomeness, then I would return. So, fare thee well Sal’s, for I shall not be back.

Have been frequenting Sal’s for years. He has the best Pizza around and that’s saying something here where there are numerous true Italian pizza and sub shops. Our favorite however is his lasagna dinner which includes a nice salad, soda and a good sized pile of fresh Italian garlic bread at less than $ 9. Eat in for the best experience. The portion is so large that it’s wise to cut the meal in half before starting to eat and take half home for a future meal. As a bonus, they’re nice people too.

Absolutely great pizza. Sal’s always delivers a great pie, probably the best traditional pizza in central PA. Their pastas are delicious, too. Baked ziti with ricotta and meat sauce is outstanding, as are the pierogies in butter and onion. Yummy!

Just tried Sal’s after seeing their location along York street (114) and had a large cheese pizza and thought the pizza was really good, especially the dough and cheese. I like the idea that this is a small establishment and not a large chain like pizza hut or even al’s pizza in the area. Overall, I’d stop in again given their good pizza and decent price.

Good pizza. Good bolis. Good sandwiches on fresh baked bread. I am a fan of the cheesesteak and chicken cheesesteaks in particular. Whenever we decide to slum a little for dinner and just want something quick and easy this is our go-​to.
Standard pizza parlor fare. Good and reasonably priced. No surpises, good or bad and a thousand times better than that cardboard crap they pass off as pizza at the chains!

Bought a large pizza half pepperoni. Didn’t think you could really screw up on a freakin pizza at noon time. The dough was very rubbery and chewy. The sauce had no flavor except sweet. The cheese was okay. The pepperoni had no flavor to it. The service was absolutely god awful and sub par. I give two stars only because I have not had anything else from their menu and after today I will not be returning to sal’s pizza. C’mon guys you have to be able to do better than that. Just a suggestion — lose the hungover, drug using counter help please and thank you.
