You wouldn’t think much of this place when looking at it from the outside. «Bargain Spot Liquors» doesn’t exactly sound very promising, and the old sign has the same colors and font of the old Building #19 stores. But you might be surprised at what you’d find inside. It’s a great spot to buy some wine: Very big selection for the space, and the prices are about a buck or two less than other nearby stores(especially the ones in Winchester!). - The place is jam-packed with booze. It’s also a little, grungy. There’s a forgotten area in the back left of the store with random 6-packs of old beer and random dusty wines. They’re on a shelf — so I don’t know if they’re for sale or for sale cheap or what. It’s like the last remnants of old beer they don’t sell anymore(Tiger) and random last bottles of wine they don’t stock anymore. Behind the counter on the bottom shelf are hundreds of random very old bottles of booze: some full, some cracked, some half-empty. I don’t know what they’re doing there. This place needs a good cleaning. - BUT — the prices are right, the location is right downtown, and I was surprised at the selection. The owner is a nice guy too. You’ve probably driven by here a hundred times and never thought to check it out — I vote that you do so next chance you get!
