Had a great east meets west and was so surprised how the favors mixed up so well in that rice box! Great sweet tea as well so much favor in tea never thought I would taste. Thank you for the great service!

Healthy alternative to usual mall food. I had a Mediterranean wrap and my husband had a build your own chicken wrap. You have to pay extra for an organic tortilla but the only non organic ones are flavored with herbs or chipotle so if you just want a plain or wheat tortilla you have to choose the organic. Flavor was ok, nothing special. Service was very good and portion size also very good.

I was pretty happy with the place. Tons of healthy options, and some meat teriyaki over rice type options. They have waffles and wraps that looked awesome too I didn’t try. I just got all veggies over rice because I wanted something healthier. I think the owner helped me and he was super nice and knowledgeable. My mother has celiacs so gluten free is essential… and he knew what he was doing to make sure she didn’t get sick. They even have gluten free soy sauce and waffles which she was eager to try next time. I hope this location does well and they’re able to open more. It looked like they give a meal to child in need, for every meal they sell … Like Toms.

I love that there is a healthier option in the mall food court! The food is organic, fresh, and definitely delicious. You can get anything as a wrap, sandwich or salad. The pulled pork is delicious– definitely my favorite.

Eek! Methinks not! And here is what my big complaint is… I didn’t tip. Well I did, I put a dollar in the jar. And the reason I will never go back… when I balanced my checkbook I saw he gave himself a hefty tip. I didn’t catch that during the transaction because I was too impressed on how filthy the iPad screen was. As far as their smoothies and wraps: Since I’m vegan the wrap was stripped of all tasties, but very healthy none-the-less. Love, love, love the berry ‘n basil smoothies. I won’t miss them… so many other eateries in the Rogue and beyond!

The food tasted good but I have a couple of complaints. First of all, it is priced just about the same as a full-service restaurant, except here you have to clean your own table and stand in line for your food. My daughter ordered some berry smoothie drink because there weren’t many drink options and it cost $ 6.75! And the smoothie wasn’t that great. I ordered iced tea and, since the cup was so small(for $ 2.50) I asked if there were free refills. They said NO and nobody has EVER asked that question before. Really? I’m the only person ever to visit Basil & Berries who wanted to drink iced tea throughout my entire meal? Wow, I’m a pioneer! And my last complaint(and then I’ll let it go) is when you go to pay they hand you an iPad that has pre-selected tip amounts that they obviously expect to get. They are 15% and 20%! There are no options for anything less. Really? You have to clean your own table, stand in line for your food, eat out of cardboard cartons with plastic forks, forego any refills on your drink and they want to be tipped like a full-service restaurant? Yeah, right!

It was okay. The rogue sandwich initially had good taste but really lacked in the finish. My kids had the grilled cheese which they did enjoy, however the smoothies were really watery. For two small smoothies, a sandwich, and two kids grilled cheese was $ 28, for a food joint in the mall. Not worth it.

They advertise their hours to be open until 9p but they really shut down at 8p?!? RIDICULOUS. Don’t advertise hours of the mall if you aren’t really open until then. Huge inconvenience since I drove specifically to eat there, not to shop.

The Roots Rocks! I had it in a spinach wrap, yummm. Although more spendy than the other choices in the food court., it is so worth it.

I had«The Rogue» and it was hella good. It includes grilled steak, caramelized onions, and other things I cant remember. The caramelized onions I could have ate alone, a bucket full. Also tried their strawberry lemonade, bomb. Glad there is a healthy alternative in the mall beside Subway.

Line was slow. But food was fresh and many options. Sandwich wrap salad or rice bowl. People friendly and accommodating. It is a nice change from mall food court food. I’d give it more stars compared to the rest of the food court options. Food pretty good no complaints from the teens

I stopped here for lunch today and WOW it was INCREDIBLE! I had the GR wrap and it was the best lunch I have had in a long time, by far the best food in the area. Some people say it is too pricey, but for the quality your getting, locally sourced, organic, etc. it is cheap! I would rather pay more and eat something good and good for you than eat garbage. And they GIVEBACKTOTHELOCALFOODBANK which is awesome! I highly recommend going to Basil and Berries!

UPDATE: The food has been very inconsistent here the last several times. They have also been out of several things each time I have visited recently. Not sure what’s up but I am lowering my review to four stars. Having said that, I am leaving my original review up with this caveat. ORIGINALREVIEW: REASONTOEATATTHEMALL! So these guys started off a little slow when they first opened over a year ago. I adore what they are doing bringing foodie-worthy fast cuisine to the mall environment of Medford. When they launched, their menu was a bit confusing but they really listened to feedback and have tightened things up nicely. They just added savory waffles to the menu and I had the pleasure of enjoying one today. Check out the ingredients: cinnamon apples, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions with clotted cream on top. The waffles are GLUTENFREE which is awesome because my hubby has celiac’s. The dish was amaze balls and only $ 8. Keep up the great work guys!

In the mall food court. Very fresh very good wraps and salads. Had the chicken Caesar salad wrap and Oregon Sunset smoothie. Very good and much better choice than the rest of the food court options.

If you have not tried basil & Berries you are missing out. Get past the fact it is in the mall food court and you will be amazed. They use fresh locally sourced food and every meal purchased they donate a meal. I love the B&B steak wrap with fresh greens lettuce tomato onion with basil and berry balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It’s a flavor party in your mouth. They also have smoothies ciabatta roll sandwiches salads and desserts. There is catering for 10 or more people for 10 $ a person that includes entrée side and drink.

I love the concept and the fact that it’s in the mall around fast food joints but I wasn’t impressed with the food and the price I paid for the food. Granted I got a sandwich without meat on it– a build your own– so I understand there is a lot to want in that alone ;) I will gladly give it another try hopeful that I just ordered something lackluster, because I really support what they do locally!

In food court, but not the least bit fast-foody. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, and worthy cause(one meal donated to hungry for every one purchased). Ambiance is food court ambiance, but good value.

Exceptional wraps, salads, smoothies and fresh baked cookies made from locally sourced ingredients. The staff was super knowledgable on every item listed on the seasonal chalk board. I enjoyed the caprese and B & B wraps, fresh squeezed lemonade and basil and berry smoothly and finished with fresh baked gingerbread cookies. The meal was phenomenal and delicious. The service helpful and friendly.

I’m so glad they opened something like this is Medford! Don’t let the fact that it’s in the mall fool you. The food is fresh, local, and primarily organic with lots of yummy options like salads, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, and homemade«treats». So far I’ve tried the Pulled Pork Sandwich, the Caprice Wrap, and the Beet Salad and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Today they had a Melon Smoothie special that I’ll probably go back for later. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, fabulous food, and they even have environmentally friendly packaging. I hope this place really takes off!
