I ordered here a lot and gave really good tips to the driver. One day they messed up my order, I ran back to the car to get the driver’s attention that my order was wrong. The driver refused to get the food and stated to call his manager that they would fix it. Mind you I just gave this delivery guy a $ 10 tip. Any how called the restaurant the«manager» stated«that what you ordered». I told him I order the same shit every week. So he say’s to me I’ll call you back and fix it. Stupid me I waited for an hour and never heard back from the dude. $ 40.00 wasted. Never been so mad in my life. Never ever going to order from there. Not worth the wait, lies and mess ups.

Not only was the food flavorless and sloppily prepared, but the delivery guy left my food on the sidewalk outside my apartment because he didn’t want to leave his car. The shrimp was like rubber, the egg roll bone dry, and everything was over fried in a soggy bland batter. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Always satisfied with Dim Sum. I can’t speak to the delivery as we have never used it. We always pick it up, one time a few months ago we were given the wrong type of rice, but I called and asked if they would bring us the correct item and they did so without hesitation. Other than that we have never had any issues. The prices are fair and the people have always been super friendly.

We wanted to cook scallion pancakes at home but felt too lazy to get ingredients for other dishes, so we ordered the rest of our meal from Dim Sum Café. They were swamped because it was New Year’s Eve and it took 90 mins for delivery, but oh well — scallion pancake dough takes 30 mins to set up before rolling, so timing worked out in the end. Highlights of the meal: the half roast duck with white rice had more bones than meat but the flavors were good and I was satisfied.(We’re using the leftover bones for stock). I really liked the Chinese eggplant with garlic. My boyfriend got chow foon with chicken and black bean sauce, and he seemed really happy with his choice — he said he would order it again. Apparently, it reheated really well too. I’m upgrading to four stars after this meal.

I have been waiting for my food for 2 hours now. They have not been very helpful when I have called. Every time I call they say it will be another 20 minutes. Even if it is good I will not be ordering from here ever again.

Today I waited over 90 minutes for a delivery that arrived cold and without the accompanying rice… I had recommended this place to co-workers so the order wasn’t just for me. It arrived 20 mins before I had to leave work for a doctor appointment so there was no time to eat, let alone time to have the rice brought back, not that they offered. When I called –first wondering where they were and then about the missing component– all I got was«sorry». I then contacted Foodler and all they were able to do was get $ 2 from the restaurant for the missing rice. RICE, people. I know it doesn’t cost much but it comes with almost every Chinese meal… it’s not like I ordered parsnips. And if you wait 90 mins for delivery, you can at least expect a complete meal in the bag. And if you can’t get the complete meal, you shouldn’t have to pay for part of it. Or maybe just the part you actually eat, which was none. Ever gone to a steak house and had $ 2 taken off the bill because they forgot your potato or salad? No, it’s PARTOFTHEMEAL! Anyway, goodbye Dim Sum Café. I can’t remember if your food is any good since I didn’t eat it today. But your service sucks and you are not the only game in town.

The service is really bad. Unfriendly staff and very rude manager. Very terrible service as they are good Ng downhill compared to the restaurants in the same area. Never order again

We used to order here all the time. Lately they get the orders wrong and delivery can take upwards of 90 minutes. They also have someone new answering the phone and you have to repeat everything 3 to 4 times. Very frustrating. Much better options in the area. Really a shame that this place has gone downhill.

I attempted to order by phone. The person who answered asked«What can I get for you» and, since I wasn’t quite quick enough for him, he hung up on me immediately. I’ve never been treated so rudely. Arrogant, terrible attitude!

We’ve ordered here quite a few times and the food is always good but the delivery takes forever. Like 90 minutes when it was estimated 30. We probably won’t order here again… Not worth the wait.

Summary: this is my new go-to Chinese takeout. I’ve been searching for years for decent Chinese takeout in this area. Seriously, since I moved here from NYC in 1994. I’ve found acceptable places that later went south, and more recently, places that were really good but also crazy expensive($ 60 for two entrees and an appetizer?) Dim Sum Café isn’t the best food I’ve ever had, but it is good, and the price is right. They threw in a free order of scallion pancakes, which arrived hot and crispy. The delivery was early, and the driver friendly. We will definitely be ordering from them again. and again …

Only the pork buns were of decent quality. The rice noodle rolls were too starchy. They got my order quantities wrong but the dumplings were off. I got 2 samples of the dumplings but they were both of below average quality. They did deliver on time, which is perhaps their saving grace

Delivery was quoted as 30 minutes but took 90! I enjoyed the genera gau’s chicken but the fried rice was very disappointing. The best part was the low price — the dinner combo came with entrée of choice, rice, soup, and an appetizer for $ 9!

The food is greasy but clean, and very cheap and high in quality compared to a lot of other chinese options in my area. The Sesame Chicken is my favorite from here! The delivery people are always very nice. It does always take them quite a bit of time to deliver, so get your order in early! They also apply coupons for extra appetizers even when we forget. Always a pleasant experience ordering from this place!

No stars would be appropriate. Reading all the delivery problems we chose pickup. Well that didn’t even work. I just drove home in a snowstorm after finding out they didn’t get my order. I ordered online and got an email confirmation but they never got it. They looked at me like I had 3 heads when I gave them an order number. They claimed their fax isn’t working. You’re kidding me? You have online ordering that relies on a fax and your fax doesn’t work? No apology just an attitude. Maybe they have a good chef but the front of the house is clueless. Don’t use their website to order online and based on the other reviews don’t use their delivery. Don’t eat in there in the winter. There is only a counter and the place is very cold. Lots of luck Dumb Sum Café

Very delicious food. Peking Duck was delicious. Small portion of half duck was pricey at $ 18 Crab Rangoon light and tasty. Peking Ravioli were nice as well. Hot and sour soup along with general chicken was enjoyable. The pork fried rice I found to be boring. Friendly delivery with all the condiments I requested. I will order from again and again.

I like Dim Sum Café. I like the convenience of ordering off of Foodler. I like their General Gau’s chicken. I like that their dinner specials come with a choice of soup. I like that the delivery person is always prompt and very friendly. That being said, I did not so much like the insanity that this place was on New Year’s Eve. While I stood with a crowd of hungry, slightly agitated people in the small dining area(devoid of tables and chairs, for maximum standing room capacity), I wondered how and why Chinese food on New Year’s Eve became a thing. Aside from the delicious factor, I’m thinking I might order pizza next year… It seemed like the Dim Sum Café crew either had not anticipated the number of orders they received, or they weren’t properly prepared for the night. After making my order through Foodler for pick up, I waited a half hour or so and made my way to pick up(my confirmation email had said that the wait time would be about 30 minutes). I ended up getting to the restaurant and waiting almost 2 hours for my order. There was no real system for food pick up. Among the crowd of waiting customers, some had made phone orders earlier in the day and others had made online orders. We all were in the same hungry and sad boat. At one point during our wait, the phones were taken off the hook — to provide a short respite from their incessant ringing. There was a lot of yelling from the kitchen. The two ladies working the front of the room seemed beyond frazzled. All in all, not great. By the time my order came out — I grabbed the bag and left without checking to make sure all my food was in order. That’s my bad. They had forgotten a few items and although I’d already paid in full through Foodler, I decided it wasn’t worth trying to call back to get a refund. The oddest part of the whole ordeal was the fact that some of my food was hot and some was straight up cold. The tofu and veggie lo mein, cold with the tofu giving a slight funk, was NOT lo mein. The noodles were thread-thin — almost like rice noodles. General Gau’s — a usual ace in the hole — was cold and accompanied by the saddest looking broccoli I’ve ever seen. Their lauded BBQ Pork Buns were dry and flavorless. As I’ve had many a decent take out meal from Dim Sum Café, I won’t completely write them off — but I’ve learned my lesson to keep my ordering to non-holiday evenings.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be back because the take out options were solid enough here and it is fairly close by. But I wasn’t wowed by any means on our first visit. I was a little let down when I wanted a «date night», showed up here and it was just basically an order counter with a few stools and a lot of boxes around the«café» that needed to be put away. It was unkempt and the two doors where you enter were confusing as well but apparently both work. We walked in and in front of us was a box of like 1000 fortune cookies which imo, should be kept behind the counter. So we had to get takeout, no biggie. The woman at the counter was extremely friendly and clear with our order, no language barriers unlike some Asian spots when taking your order. I ordered a $ 9 plate special of general gau’s fish with pork fried rice, crab rangoons and egg drop soup. My better half ordered chicken pad thai and we split an order of scallion pancakes. I was most disappointed by something that should never be an issue, the side of rice. Flavor. Less. Did they forget the ginger/garlic starter? Even smothering it in some of the general’s sauce didn’t fully help it. The fish was somewhat rubbery but had decent flavor. I tried one bite of the wifey’s pad thai and wasn’t overly impressed but I won’t fault them since this is a Chinese joint and not Thai. Egg drop soup was completely standard. The biggest standout for me was the scallion pancake, perfectly crispy and not overly greasy with a yummy, sweet sauce. There is some work to be done here, it’s not perfect. If service sucked, I wouldn’t be rushing back anytime soon but that was a savior in the long run. I picture getting delivery here in the future on a snowy/rainy night where I don’t want to venture out. Just please get some flavor in your rice, that’s all I ask.
