The ambiance of the café is very nice. I have gotten the paninis a couple of times and they have always been awesome. My favorite is the Jitterbug Panini. I have tried the iced tea and hot chocolate and they have both been excellent. I look forward to going back, and highly recommend this place.

Food is good but the staff is very rude. The cashier seems like we’re in inconveniencing her by visiting.

This review is long overdue. I just wanted to say thank you to the staff at Jitters for being so accommodating and welcoming to our large group of new moms with newborns in tow. We have been going into the café at least once a week, taking over the corner with the couches and spending a couple of hours eating lunch and hanging with the babies. The staff has been great about everything, making delicious food, walking over strollers and never making us feel uncomfortable about breast feeding. GREATPLACE!

Nutty Irishman is my drink. Good lattes, lounge area and free wifi. I have yet to try the infamous Jitterbug panini. I usually get drinks to go and deliver some to my sleepyhead deary.

Love this place! Good coffee, solid food options, and reasonably priced. Glad this place is in melrose! I’ve have a number of the paninis and they’re all great(and generous size wise).

This place has wonderful décor, nice atmosphere, very comfortable. When you walk over to the counter to order all the display cases look empty, the one on the left is completely empty. Why have them if your not going to put anything in them. Then you look up at the menu boards Behind the counter and you can’t read them. I’ve been there twice and the sandwiches are average at best. How they stay in business is beyond me. This could be a great place if more care was taken with the display cases and the sandwiches weren’t so stingy. And you could actually read the Menu Board.

Great coffee and sandwiches. Incredibly convenient if you live at Windsor too. My only complaint is that the sandwiches can take awhile

I live by this place, so I come pretty much all the time. They have one of those«buy 10 of these get 1 free» card things. I’ve gotten many free things. They have pretty good coffee and their original line of flavored coffee drinks(Nutty Irishman with limited syrup is pretty good). I actually come here mostly for the convenience and their ham, egg, & cheese croissants. I’m quite the fan of those. The place is cozy on the inside — not quite ‘stylish’ like Starbucks, but they have a couch and a good amount of seating.

Yes, a latte without foam IS possible. Question is, is a little professionalism possible? Hmmm… kinda of like a house without a roof…

This place is a spot on café that has quality product. Everything is made fresh and tastes delicious! The pain is are pressed to a perfect warm crisp with tons of flavor. The Italian was delicious, and my friends loved the JitterBug and the BLAT. Awesome lunch find /café here in Melrose!

Jitters is a little bit of a walk from my apartment — about 30 minutes one way — but I’m so glad I took the time to check it out. The shop feels friendly and cozy, if a bit lacking in personality — there’s art/decorations on the wall but nothing very stand out. It was lit softly(which was nice) and a really comfortable temperature for this time of year; heat was definitely on but I didn’t feel like I was sweltering ordering a hot drink. It was pretty quiet when me and my husband got there. We waited in line for maybe a minute, tops, which gave us just enough time decide what we wanted. He got the hot apple cider, I opted for a pumpkin latte. We took a seat while our drinks were being made(they warned us it would take a few minutes, which is fine. a latte takes some time to put together!), and then they actually brought the drinks out to our table instead of just calling them out from the counter, which was a very nice touch. The pumpkin latte was seriously the BEST pumpkin latte I’ve ever had. I think it’s more accurate to call it a pumpkin pie latte than a pumpkin spice. It had a really lovely spiciness just like a pumpkin pie, not too sweet the way Starbucks does it. We didn’t try the food this trip out but I could smell other orders being cooked, and it the smell is indicative of the taste then the food should be incredible as well. We will definitely be back!

Awesome spot to get some work done on a Saturday morning. Free WiFi! And couches! They were also incredibly receptive to and helpful about my dietary restrictions(unfortunately, no vegan pastries — good sandwiches though!). Awesome friendly staff — which is often lacking in this area. Got an almond milk mocha — somehow a tiny bit too sweet, if that’s possible, probably because of almond milk AND mocha. Their large is GIGANTIC. Coffee is good for the price. Also the bathrooms are unfortunately far away from the actual café since I think they share a building with some other businesses. Nothing to be done about that, just a little thing that I tend to notice.

If the coffee shop is the current day version of the Cheers bar, then my husband and I are the Cliff and Norm of the joint. I *always* feel at home at Jitters, and the owner, Tim, makes us feel like one of the family. He’s got a great sense of humor and his cheerful staff is equally friendly. What I love about Jitters is the high quality and consistency of the food they prepare. The egg sandwiches have fresh cracked eggs and generous servings of cheese, sausage, ham, or bacon. The Sergeant Breakfast Sandwich is a customer favorite for a reason — the combination of a croissant, ham, kicky cheese, and mustard is a delight. We also love getting sandwiches, salad, and soups in the afternoon. Their fresh gelato in the summertime? Yum. The coffee offerings are equally strong. Tim and his team prepare a variety of espresso drinks as well as the classic cup o’ joe, and they have a number of whimsical flavored syrup specials as well. The coffee is always the right level of hot(or cold, if you’re getting an iced beverage), and it’s the perfect thing to grab on the go. If I’m running late, I give Jitters a call and they’ll have my order and beverage ready to go when I get there. The décor of the restaurant is very lovely. The walls are a the color of warm coffee with a little bit of cream, the artwork is tasteful, the booths and tables are clean, spacious, and comfy, and I love the high ceilings and the warm lighting. Jitters is the perfect place to have an impromptu meeting, and I frequently see groups of people gabbing over a bite and drink. They offer free wi-fi and I believe it’s also an Xfinity hotspot. I can’t recommend this place more highly! If you haven’t been, go check it out!

Really nice atmosphere, nice menu selection, but very slooooow service. Only one young woman working. Took 15 minutes to get a grilled cheese, and the tomatoes were left off, so instead if having grilled warmed tomatoes, they were cold. Most annoying was that the server seemed apathetic to the service. She really needed help on the floor. Couldn’t keep up with the big lines.

Just moved into town and was looking for a local business to be able to grab a bit to eat and have some coffee. After one stop in I no longer have to look any further. Ordered the sergeant(if you like something with a little kick and full of flavor its a must try). The breakfast sandwich was great and it hit the spot after a good long run through the Middlesex Fells. Follow that up with an iced coffee and you’ve got it made. Looking forward to going back and trying something else on the next visit in. If you’re looking to checkout and support a great local business, look no further.

I was running early for work, because traffic was light and because of that I found this delicious coffee shop! I had a Heath Bar Crunch made for me by Jordan(who was wicked nice) and it was absolutely delicious. I had already had breakfast so I didn’t try a sandwich, but I am going to have to try to make it up here sometime to try one! The atmosphere is also really nice, and it was a pleasant place to sit and drink my coffee while I waited to go to my first appointment of the day.

I got some espresso and it tasted like disappointment. My girlfriend got an iced caramel latte and added sugar to it because it she said it didn’t taste right. She ordered a salad and it took them 20+ minutes to bring it out.

So we just moved to the area and walked over on Sunday morning for coffee and maybe breakfast. Unfortunately, their espresso machine was down(we only found out because we kept hearing the girl tell the kid working the register to stop selling espresso drinks. He apparently was not hearing her and he never told any guest the machine was down.) Needless to say, I ended up with water. My roommate and I both ordered breakfast sandwiches. He got a bacon, egg, and cheese on an english muffin. I got sausage and cheese on a croissant. My roommate enjoyed his sandwich. Nothing special, but certainly worth the walk and would definitely come back. While I didn’t necessarily enjoy my sandwich, the croissant was the best I have ever eaten. It was absolutely unreal. As far as service, we ate in and the service just seemed kind of crazed. Our service personally wasn’t effected, but just watching the workers run around like chickens without heads made for not the most relaxing breakfast experience. I do have to reiterate what others have said regarding the pastry case. It was incredibly empty and nothing looked homemade. They had a couple different varieties of muffins and some brownies but that was it. They looked old and incredibly unappetizing. All in all, I would love to come back and try the coffee since I was unable to this past weekend and I will certainly be back for a quick breakfast on the weekends every once in a while. But otherwise, it’s just nothing special.

I’ve been frequenting Jitters since I moved to Malden a year ago. I immediately sensed that the owners take their business seriously and make an effort to keep their customer base happy. There are signs on the tables with a direct e-mail address to the owner about any complaints a customer may have and that they will receive a response within 24 hours. I always feel welcomed whenever I come in and my unique requests were honored with a smile. True hospitality. On top of that, the prices are VERYVERY reasonable compared to other cafes. The lattes are delicious, the food is superb, I like«the sergeant» a breakfast sandwich with ham and cheese on a croissant. To me, this is how a business should be run. Jitters deserves all the success it has had so far!
