I really dislike giving negative reviews, but I’m pretty disappointed with this place. I initially called in to confirm hours of operation and the women who answered the phone was not too friendly whatsoever. However, I decided to give them a chance regardless. I came in and there were about 6 people in here on a Sunday evening and the 2 woman behind the counter who seemed extremely overwhelmed and inconvenienced by the business. I Just ordered a couple slices of cheese pizza, which were nothing special, and tasted very chemically. I asked to use a restroom and was told that they have no public restroom. I’m completely appalled! How can you have a restaurant with a dining area that can seat over 50 people, and no public restroom? AREYOUKIDDINGME! And she didn’t say it was out of service she, clearly said that they have«No public restrooms» Do not come here. It’s not worth the irritation.

Super impressed! I was a little weary given some of the up and down reviews but when my husband and I flew home from across country on a Tuesday nigh and didn’t get home until 1030, we were looking for a late night meal since we didn’t want to cook. Ordered online successfully, though the mobile site is a little wonky. I ordered the buffalo chicken calzone(at the recommendation of maybe Unilocalers) and my husband got the pepperoni calzone. Delivery was wonderful! Speedy, maybe about 30 minutes or so. Driver was very nice on the phone too. Presentation of the calzones are awesome! Great little boxes, served with a paper plate and plastic silverware which was thoughtful. Tasted great! Very good spice and well baked. Price was great. Local, fast and was delicious! Will order again and again!

This is quite possibly the worst pizza experience ever. They delivered on time, but ALL the toppings had slid completely off the pizza, leaving a bare and soggy crust sitting there with all of the toppings bunched up in the corner of the pizza box and dripping out and getting all over my floor, arm, and table. I scooped everything back on to the gross soggy crust because I was starving and had to eat. They left off two toppings, leaving it soggy AND flavorless. If you want good pizza, trust me, listen to the reviews and don’t order from here. Ugh.

Best pizza in this area. I love their chicken fingers with the honey mustard. Always good. I do have to say though sometimes they do cook the pizza a little bit to much or sometime not enough. But either way it always tastes good. I do have to say though sometimes when they get busy the quality of their products do lack.

This place serves what i call a «face pizza» aka a pizza that’s as big as your face! Super cheap too.

I have been a customer of this business since the early 80’s. It’s as good today as it was 30 years ago. The White Roman pizza is my favorite and the steak and cheese is excellent. Delivery times are fast.

VERYIRRITATED! Ordered Delivery from this Place, was quoted 45 minute delivery. Over an hour later, attempted to call, & got NO Response. Came to find the restaurant is closed. If You run a business, answer the phone, take the order, & Charge the Persons Debit Card. Deliver the Food. JUSTTHATSIMPLE! If You’re about to Close. DON’T TAKETHEORDER! Food FINALLY arrived almost 1hr 45 Mins, Cheeseburger Sub, was greasy, took 3 bites, & threw the rest out. I am THOROUGHLY Disappointed with this poor excuse for a Pizza Place. NEVERAGAINESPRESSO. NEVERAGAIN!

Fat-ass calzone. Chicken calzone is on a diagonal in small pizza box because it only fits 45*. $ 14.45 for a calzone is a bit pricy but its filling! Do they have frequent flyer card or coupons or email coupons etc??? Knock this down to $ 12 and I’d be stopping in at least once a week. They have WiFi too. Nice touch. Cater to the Tufts crowd as well. There’s another pizza place next door(prestos?) and the place is more vacant than the stares from the Olsen twins. Name was obscured by VOTEFORPENTA signs so can’t quote the name but the place was a ghost town compared to EP. 4⁄5 bec the price but being open til 1, that’s sweet. Happy tummy.

Usually order from here quite a bit & usually receive good service but the delivery man today was very rude. When he gave me my order I said thank you. & he started counting with his fingers saying«umm 1 it says cash tip. So uh yeah, cash tip. &2 the lady didn’t tell me you wanted ginger ale so I guess I can go grab that for you, so cash tip when I get back» if this was my business I definitely wouldn’t want a worker like that. I talked to the managers & they were very nice & understanding. They apologized & gave me credit.

Everything is pretty okay, the 1 Liter sodas are a real plus for someone like me though. And the late night hours are nice for an after work food run.

Delivery is always good but these guys really shine when you go in and order for takeout. Your food is ready within 15 – 20 minutes and they’re very accommodating if you modify your order.

I have a love affair with pizza, and used to live near Boston Ave. I judge a place by its cheese slice, «For here, not too hot.» I grew up in the tri-state, and this is up my alley. There is some variable in consistency(of dough, cheese, etc.). If Tony’s working, it’s the best slice on Boston Ave. Not joking when I say my friends and I did a blind taste test back in 2013(Pinky’s, Helen’s, Nick’s, etc.). Espresso’s was my winner. This pizza doesn’t taste like PAM on the bottom. It’s thin-crust. The sauce is great. I can’t speak to their delivery success or consistency. I get it on the way home maybe once a month. Good people, good story(glad they reopened).

I’ve been eating here since(gulp!) 1984. I now drive 20 minutes to get here, happily passing probably 20 other places I could get a pizza. My son, who’s 8, won’t even touch pizza anyplace else, but happily matches me bite for bite here. The sauce is slightly sweet, the dough is perfect, not too thick, with a tasty crust, and a nice thick layer of mozzarella on top. It’s fantastic to get pizza right out of the oven, with an order of some piping hot French fries topped with mozzarella cheese, try it and you’ll know why I drive here from two towns away.

Horrifying. Honestly. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza from them at 11:10 pm. The pizza arrived 10 minutes later which is usually something to boast about but this pizza was seriously disgusting. Not only did they not ask us to process payment on the phone, they delivered us the soggiest and most depressing pizza I have EVER had in my whole life. When the delivery guy arrived he was confused and didn’t know how to process the payment. They gave us no receipt. The crust of the pizza was detaching from the rest of the pizza because it was so soggy and dissatisfactory. I have eaten plenty of pizza in my day and this is the LAST place I will ever order from again. When we called to express our experience the woman was incredibly rude. I am not one to complain but this experience was ridiculous. My first one star. Way to go espresso. You suck!

Needed a quick bite to eat. Stopped in on my way home. A little hectic for the evening dinner/delivery rush. Nice man helped take my order and convinced me to get the $ 6.25 beer battered onion rings. Well done of course. They came out perfectly. Note– This is a huge order so split them with a friend. Also got a nice roast beef with cheese, mayo and lettuce. Good size on a nice roll. After I sorta balked at getting the onion rings I chose not to buy a drink but the gentleman was nice enough to ask if I wanted a cup of tap water and even delivered it to my table. Service with a smile. Nice touch sir. Standard fare. Good service. Free parking lot in the back. Delivery. What else do you need to know? CON– There was only one. When it’s really cold outside every time the door opens a really cold blast of air comes in. But hey that’s everywhere right? I’ll get over it and try to sit as far away from the door as possible. :)

My go-to pizza delivery place in the area. If you order slices in the actual restaurant, however, the slices do not taste fresh or are even hot for that matter.

Good cheese pizza. This place and Wellington’s are the closest in Medford that I’ve found to the delicious New Jersey/New York pizza I grew up with. I’m someone who always eats the outer crust, and Espresso’s is a little bland(missing salt? or too sweet? something…) but the thickness of the crust under the cheese is good, and it’s pretty consistently sauced and cheesed right(once or twice it was too saucy, but we figured they just had an off night). I’m not saying this pizza is mind-blowing — it’s not. But it’s solidly good. I’ve never gotten a pie with more than just cheese or pepperoni, and it may be a soggy mess when you try to add veggies or other stuff — but the cheese pie is really just solid. Their meatball sub is a little funky — like they use too much bread crumbs and it makes the meatballs less firm than they should/could be? But it’s also quite tasty, so despite the somewhat odd texture, we’ve ordered it repeatedly. Again, I’ve never ventured beyond the basics, but the basics I’ve ordered have been solid, and I definitely recommend Espresso’s.

Ever since going to Tuft’s in the 90’s, I’ve been a big fan of Espresso’s. Calzones… good. Subs… good. Pizza… gooooooooood! But, what I really like and appreciate about them is that they go the extra mile in customer service. Over the years, I’ve changed from a 12:30 am caller to a 5:30 p.m. caller. I’ve added some more vegetables to my order.(Ok, that’s not exactly true… sorry.) But, Espresso’s has always stayed consistent and delicious. Last night, they ran into some trouble with my order when the delivery guy had some car trouble. After I had given them a quick phone call to check in on it, I was assured that the food would be there any minute, and it came a few minutes later. Everything was fine. But then, my phone rang and it was the owner! The OWNERPICKEDUPTHEPHONEANDCALLEDME! She just wanted to tell me that she felt horrible that it had taken them so long to deliver my food and that my next dinner was on her. In this day and age, to get that kind of service where the owner is sympathetic and actually cares about her customers like that… well, that’s rare and it’s special. And that’s why I will continue to be a lifelong patron.

Amazing pizza. Chewy, bubbly crust, crisp on the edges, soft in the center. Quality toppings, sweet, simple sauce. Meatballs, sausage, artichokes, broccoli, onions, mushrooms — it’s all good. The pizza is not NY and it’s not New Haven, and it’s not Italian but it’s really excellent, so I’m gonna have to say it’s not Boston either. Is there such a thing as Medford pizza? If so, I believe it rocks. The ricotta they use in the calzone is heavenly — rich, but light, sweet, but strong, hot but not overcooked. My parents want their own and they are always dieting and these things are huge. It’s a testament. All this and a decent Greek salad with really good dressing. They must serve the undergrads entirely different food when they pay with their Jumbo bucks. I don’t understand these low reviews and I’ve been eating pizza in college towns twice as long as the average undergrad has been alive. Also, the owners are friendly and if you eat in or carry out, you can observe them working hard and showing off their formidable knowledge of the local geography.

Espressos is back and better than ever! My family and I have gone to Espressos for a very long time. We were so bummed when they closed down. When news broke that they were opening back up, we were only a few of many people lining up to get in. I’ve referred some of my french fry-loving friends to this place. They have THEBEST french fries, no ketchup needed! The onion rings too! I usually don’t order them from places because I don’t like the way they’re made but Espressos has, again, THEBEST onion rings. Don’t forget about the cream cheese jalapeño poppers! Super friendly staff, very clean seating area and fast delivery. Recommendations Steak, cheese & onion sub: I will not get a steak & cheese from any other place. Cheesy and cooked perfectly. Buffalo chicken calzone: HUGE! When I feel like caving in and getting a calzone, this is my go-to. I try to stop myself from eating it and save some for later, but can’t. It’s THAT good. Chicken salad on pita: I have experimented on what to put on this. I originally had buffalo hot sauce, tomato, onion and pickles.(delicious) Now, I have found my new favorite. Pineapple and onion. It pairs perfectly with their delicious homemade chicken salad. *Just recently added* FREE pint of Ben & Jerrys ice cream of your choice with a $ 25 purchase. Best sub shop in Medford, EATHERE!!!
