So if I were only grading the pizza they would get a 5 because it was yummy, and Medford doesn’t have much yummy pizza. But I called for delivery one night and the man on the phone was rather rude. I live in Medford, probably about 2 – 3 miles from Nick’s and he acted like I was asking for a delivery to China. I’m not sure they’re in a position to be so picky, and I really hate bad customer service so I have never been back, I eat a lot of pizza so there’s been a pretty good deal of business lost via that phone call.

I didn’t think there was such a thing as bad pizza… but this pizza proved me wrong. We just wanted something simple and easy for a movie night– but the buffalo chicken pizza we got was a huge disappointment. Tasted like reheated greasy bowling alley pizza– and was really just cheese pizza with some buffalo chicken fingers on top. Don’t think we will be back again– there are too many other great pizza options around!

A bit pricey, but tastes great! The steak supreme is my personal favorite: large chunks of marinated steak, grilled vegetables, lots of cheese, and a crispy crust.

Usually good food, little slow on eta’s Tonight I didn’t see this till later but I found small black hairs all over my pizza. Very upset and don’t think I will be going back. It was my favorite pizza place

Nick’s is one of the couple dining options on Boston Ave, along with Helen’s further down the road, and pizza days, etc. Nick’s is actually the best full restaurant in the area, considering that the restaurant is fully equipped. Most of the food here is your basic faux American Italian food varieties, which include calzones, pizzas, and other tomato-y things. They also have a decent selection of drinks. There isn’t much to say about Nick’s– it’s clean, has a few options which are decent, and has a good atmosphere on the whole. The place isn’t open too often compared to places like Helen’s, but it’s definitely worth checking out– people even go here to do homework sometimes!

By far the best crust of any pizza I have ever tried. The white pizza rocks! Friendly and quick delivery service too.

More than a 45 minute wait for a steak and cheese sub and a soda on a slow day and my sub was cold not to mention they are less than a5 minute drive away. Don’t plan on ever ordering from them again since there are so many places in the area.

I LOVE Greek pizza and this is definitely the best around. Their greek salad is great too. I just wish they were on foodler. I will often order from other places just for that reason. If they would join foodler I would change my rating to five stars and would definitely order from them more often.

Simply reviewing the pizza here; rather a calzone. Ordered a cheese and garlic calzone. Lots of garlic — good; lots of raw garlic — less good. They chopped up a good amount of garlic(some in near half-a-clove size), which is just what I wanted, but then just threw it in raw, which was not what I was looking for. The crust was your standard whitebread-easily forgettable-run of the mill pizza place crust — too soft. Maybe the rest of the place is good; the calzone was not.

DISGUSTING. OMG. GREASY… BURNT…WEIRD! What is the cheese? LIke??? Nothing I have ever experienced. The«sweet staff» blew me off. Talking on the cell phone, ignored me. BARELY talked to me, until I paid… waiting for the tip in that annoying«tip jar». Not to be mean? I was Bummed. It tasted like the worst frozen pizza with a non tasteless cheese, and had to put anything on it to get the grease off. UGH. If I were buzzed off my butt? This would fit the bill. Sober? NOWAY. Buh Bye Nick.

Pizza was fantastic here. Ingredients tasted very high quality. Their standard(non-Sicilian style) pizza was a greek-style offering that is unlike any other place in the area — in that it’s actually good! had been searching Somerville for pizza like it and it’s good to know i can use Nick’s as my go-to. Garlic bread was good, but nothing special. Will need to try more menu items, as this is definitely going to be a place I order more in the future. When you consider the menu prices, it’s extremely good value. Free delivery with a very low minium. Delivered food was still hot and the delivery time was average for the area and time ordered.

«Normal» pizza sucks, but the square crust is ok. The cheese mix they use is pretty ghetto and(as a result) yields a huge amount of grease. That said, anything containing their feta is pretty much nommy-licious. Hand to G*d, no idea why, but Nick’s feta is unholy good. Typically, I get extra flatbread w my salads just because of the amazing wonderfulness of it all. If only they were still delivering tonight…

As I’m thinking back on my past experiences at Nick’s, I’m realizing that I literally only ate there after heavy/prolonged exercise– after track meets, on the way back from hiking in NH, or moving all day. So, my perception of the food may be altered by the fact that I was probably starving every single time that I have eaten at Nick’s. The pizza is pretty good– very cheesy, crust that strikes the balance between thin and stiff enough to eat easily without any tip droopage. The salads are VERY good for a pizza joint in my opinion– lots of veggies, sometimes even radishes! When I was a Tufts student, I too noticed the interesting contrast between the caliber of cars I have seen outside that I presume belong to the owner and the usual lack of customers inside. Yes, I’m sure most of their business is takeout and delivery, but still…

I’m a Tufts alum and have eaten at this place more times in the past few years then when I was a student back in the mid-late 90’s. I’m back on campus this semester to audit Advanced Chinese and am using this as an excuse to order pizza from Nick’s! I came here for a work meeting a few years ago and was impressed with the food. So, I have become a customer since. My personal favorites are the plain cheese pizza and the Greek salad. The pizza is Greek style. While I normally prefer Italian style pizza, Nick’s seems to get me to return! Also, the salads here are always very fresh, and the portion is double what other places offer. I recently ordered the special, and while I did enjoy it, I think I will stick to the plain cheese as I liked that more. Nick’s is so good that I’m a little reluctant to try the other two pizza places next door…

Very decent pizza for a college-service joint, and they tuned to the Red Sox game for me when I was going to pickup. Crust is thin and toppings are not immense, but the price is not out of line with this and the cook time was very fast. Definitely not air-conditioned.

Food is generally good, though recent cheese steak had barely any meat. Biggest issue is that they don’t wear gloves when handling food.

Nicks Pizza is located right on Boston Avenue in Medford, so it’s an easy target for hungry Tufts students, and maybe they like it. I don’t. To be completely fair I have only eaten there once, but left unimpressed. I won’t be going there again. When you go in, it is set up nicely, with enough seating inside to fit the amount of people that seem to frequent it. The paint is bright, and its not a bad place to sit. At least they got something right. Onto my food: I ordered a small BBQ chicken and onion calzone. They made it quick, and I got back to my seat with much anticipation as I was starving. Note this isn’t a sit down«restaurant» so to speak, so you do have to get up and get you own food, which is fine just letting you know. The calzone looked like two Celeste pizzas stuck on top of each other. If i had wanted Celeste pizzas I would have paid $ 2 for the pair, rather than $ 8 for this heap of shit. Speaking of Celeste pizzas. they would have been much more appetizing. The crust was thin and tasted similar to cardboard, the cheese lacked any flavor at all, it was just a gooey mess. I was hard pressed to find ANY chicken, although the apparently partially defrosted onions where abundant and cold. I hate to admit that I have purchased Stop and Shops own brand cheap BBQ sauce in the past, and it tasted much better than the stuff Nicks used. I honestly think this was the most pathetic attempt at a calzone I have ever seen, I would NEVER order another from Nicks. My colleague was with me and purchased a turkey, lettuce, tomato and onion sub, and while I didn’t ask her how it tasted, it looked like there was barely any turkey, and they had just stuffed a cheap looking sub roll with lettuce. The only reason I give Nick 2 stars is because it is a pleasant place to sit, maybe if I could get away with bringing my own lunch into Nicks I would stop by again.

One of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. Clearly pre-cooked and just reheated. Possibly more than once. A pocket of oil quirted up from beneath the crusty dry cheese when I bit in. Not awesome. I can’t remember why I used to think this place had good pizza, but clearly I was mistaken. If pizza is in your name, you should at least have a standard cheese pizza down solid.
