Seriously more impressed with any fast food place. Burgers were gross. Said no onion or relish(never heard of relish on a burger). It was all onion and relish. The shake taste like Nesquick and cheap ice cream. Will never eat there again.

I don’t know where to start here, the lady who runs this place has the worst attitude and is completely rude! Which I could deal with if the burgers were good… However the burger I had was worse than her attitude as it was a pre made patty on the paper sheets and the fries were over done. Poor food and worse service made sure to deter me from ever trying this place again! I will not be back and I’ll tell everyone I know about my experience!

The food was definitely delicious, it’s cheap and better than the garbage you get at mc Donald’s, the old lady seemed a little short with me but hey, I’m new and I asked for bacon. She was a very sweet old lady though. Was pretty neat when she«yelled» out the little window, «sir, your order is ready». Very good food for a very low price and a neat old lady who i’m sure is equally as awesome as her food once you get to know her!

Standard burger stand… Far better than coorperate fast food, but it also wasn’t knock your socks off good either… It’s a bargain for what you pay for, a solid cheeseburger lunch with an older gal rockin out the grill and register! I would stop in for lunch anytime! Update: 6 months later, it’s still the same… The older gal who runs the place reminds me of some of my old grade school teachers, lol… She’s a little stern and to the point, and you better not be goofing around on her watch… Even the interior school chairs, the paint job and the closed quarters dining area reminds of being back in elementary school… The burger is still pretty good, but she got me again with the sweet relish(I forgot about it from my last trip)… She doesn’t put a lot, but for some reason that dang sweet relish throws me off every time… Still rating the joint a 3 star rating because it’s just a standard burger, nothing too spectacular about it… It is what it is, a decent burger at a relatively low price… ***Eat Local***

Dont let the owners cantankerous attitude sway you away from eating here! After you have ate here a couple of times she will remeber exactly how you like your burger! Do not inquire if she takes cards! Be prepared with cash only! This is not a gourmet establishment. Dont ask for avocado, or bacon(after she gets to know you she will reluctantly put it on your burger if you ask). Burgers are made fresh from cherry st meat market! The prices are unheard of! 2.75 for a burger, and fries! Joann is really wonderful woman that will warm up to you! The food is great! #feedourlocaleconomyeathere!

Went here once, burgers were paper thin, fries were soggy. We had heard good things about this place, but, I was not impressed. My kids didn’t even like it, it’s rare they get junk food, when they do, they usually jump on it. We won’t be back.

The meat is Cherry Street and that is same as Jaspers. Pounded out fresh. So the meat quality is every bit as good as «gourmet» burger places that sometimes use prepped frozen patties. This is just a classic little place with a Medford icon running the place.

Joann, owner of Frosty Boy is just about the sweetest woman in town. And she happens to make great milkshakes. In business 46 years, a great local Medford spot with history, charm, nostalgia and axing wallpaper. Definitely worth a visit!

The lady there is rude, diverted me from eating there before even going inside. For shame! So close to my house

Frosty Boy is tucked away in a pretty non-busy, non-descript corner, so it’s easy to see how a place like this could get missed. You add to that the fact that they’re not open for very long, and that they only take cash, and it’s obvious why a place such as this doesn’t get more recognition. But it’s actually a halfway decent place to pop in for a cheeseburger and fries. No, it’s not going to be wagyu beef & artisanal cheddar and freshly peeled russets, but considering you paid just $ 3.75 for it, you will absolutely be satisfied. Standard hole-in-the-wall burger joint quality. So as you’ve probably surmised, it’s not a fancy gourmet burger(or a purported«gourmet» like those at Jasper’s), but it will sate your hunger. As my three-star rating suggests, it’s A-OK. FB is a tiny, tiny place — just four tables inside and two more outside. Keep it in mind if you plan on coming in here with more than just a buddy. And as mentioned, the hours are odd — they close way early, and they don’t cards. So come prepared.
