I finally made it to Paisans after hearing many good things. I had a slice which was delicious and others that I was with had gyro’s and salads and all were impressed. Closest to NY style pizza I’ve had in the valley & I will be back. BTW, is the extra small slice within the slice there so you can share? If so, that is a great idea. See you next time.

Good thin crust pizza. I like the take and bake option. Cute little restaurant. Easy parking too.

One of my favorite lunch and dinner choices. Couldn’t ask for a better local Pizza spot. My favorite meal is the made-to-order garlic, basil, and marinara pizza slice with a side of ranch and a Kiwi Italian soda(their slices are huge and magically stay together). They also have delivery! Although, if you’re wanting to enjoy nice outdoor seating or a cozy interior, this place is great!

Great place! Looking for a quick bite for the family. This place had the best Caesar salad we have ever had! Pizza was quick and delicious! Perfect spot!

Looking for an authentic NY pizzaria? This is the real deal. My NYC friends would not disown me if I brought them here. Grab five bucks out of your wallet, order a slice of pie, fold that sucker in half, and chow down.

I had a slice of mozzarella and basil with a green salad. All fresh real ingredients. I ate more than I should have because it was so good. Great stop on the way through town. Very clean and nice downtown area. Do it!

Read about it in Mail Tribune as a place to get $ 5 lunch so went there for a pizza dinner. Quiet, even though it’s on a busy corner. Awesome Caprese pizza with balsamic big drizzle. Ordered a medium and ate off it for dinner, lunch and snack! The crust is perfectly toasted and crunchy. Cute tiny place with various pastas and an espresso machine. I’m going back this week for a take out to bring to my family. Molto bene!

I have been to Paisans a few times and the quality and taste of the food, as far as an Italian /New York Style Pizza(By the slice) fare, seems top notch. I have never had any problems with their attitudes and the place always feels very inviting and friendly. I was a tad disappointed at the $ 6 Limoncello Marzcipone Cheese Cake… it’s wasn’t bad cake but maybe in my ignorance I expected New York Style Cheese Cake. The kind that has more cream cheese than cake. This seemed like nothing more than a tiny slice of birthday cake(although tastey. I would expect to pay $ 3 maybe $ 4). If i was the owner i would maybe shoot for more of a traditional Cheesecake but i have a hunch these are not made in house. That being said I would never pay that much for a dessert there again. Everything else has been fine.

High 3 stars for Paisan’s… This time around I had Paisan’s version of a gyro… It looks and was messy, but it was loaded and filling… The meat wasn’t bad… But they missed on the tzatziki, it tasted more like sour cream than anything else… The sandwich itself had a great freshness to it that I enjoyed! Overall, it was a good sandwich… And that’s what I’ll base it on(because in the world of great gyro’s this one missed the authenticity I’m accustomed too)… Paisan’s is a nice little stop for lunch or dinner… ***Eat Local***

Just to update my review. I got a message from the owner that was nasty and condescending. He pretty much disputed my review. Again, will not be back. Nasty attitude, crummy pizza.

Great service, owners are awesome & food is GREAT. The vegan cheese, mushrooms, fresh basil & fresh garlic tastes AMAZING!!! Calzones are fantastic. Pizzas are true New York style. Everything they make is freshly made. This is now the only place I will by my pizzas from. They can turn any dish they make into vegan. That’s my kind of restaurant.

just a tiny place on the corner of a busy street that you would miss if the stop lite is green. But you would be missing a yummie place with friendly staff. I usually order the next to large pepperoni or paisans special(combo) to go. The large $ 37 is HUGE and i mean HUGE lol. I really love there crust which is thin and chewey. The toppings are zesty and fresh. I did have the chicken ceasar salad and while it was good I think $ 12 is a bit too much for what it was. For that price I would want alot more chicken and parm cheese. I have ordered from them about 8 times and will continue getting there pizzas.

If you’re looking for a hole in the wall kinda pizza joint this is your stop The place was a little crowded but we came at lunch time. The only real complaint that I had about here was it was a really long wait for our food but let me tell you it was WELL worth the wait! My girlfriend got the gyro(which she loved) and I got the sausage and peppers calzone. My calzone was HUGE, and probably the best tasting calzone I’ve eaten. Everything was a little pricey but again it was well worth it, and the slices of pizza(which k haven’t tried) were huge and relatively cheap so I could see this as a good lunch spot if the wait wasn’t so long. Overall it would have been 5 stars had the wait time not been around 45 minutes for our food and the prices weren’t so high but it is worth the price if you love small town Italian places.

I’ve been eating Gyros for about 44 years and I found the best Gyro at Paisans’ in Medford. Most everything is priced well here and the smiles the staff shares magnificent. I HAVE been back and will continue eating here. Looking forward to trying their Chicken Picata. I went back a few days later to sample their pizza and DARN! Monster slice of pizza for under $ 5, what a tasty deal!

Let’s make this simple; I am from NY and spent the first 18.5 years of my life devouring pizza by the slice and perfected my art of eating pizza which is unique to every NYer(if you are from NY you know what I mean). Thank you Paisan’s I can now say I can satisfy my pizza craving when I need to. I can now consider Medford my home away from home. Thanks, as a fellow NYer you know how important a place that provides NY pizza away from NY is to me!

When this place first opened a few years back, we got a whole pizza to go and found it average, so we never really came back until 2 weeks ago… during the Craft Brew festival, we wandered around looking for food and spotted Paisans and my husband and I decided it was time to give it another shot. We are so glad we did. This was my first time actually walking inside, so I was pleasantly surprised by the adorable, familiar Italian«familia» décor: dark green walls, the standard red and white checked curtains, and hundreds of framed photos decorate the walls. This place looks like your typical neighborhood Italian restaurant in any big city and that’s a good thing. The best word for Paisans is «homey.» It feels like you are coming home when you enter into this comfy little spot. We ordered customizable slices of pizza at a reasonable price and were served quickly. These are New York-ish style, where you can fold your slice to eat it easier. I really enjoyed the slice and they use nice quality kalamata olives, my favorite. This is key for me as most pizza places offer only sliced canned black olives. Blech. The owners are a lovely husband and wife duo– she works front of the house and he cooks in back. These are good, decent, hardworking, nurturing people and they made such an impression on me that for the first time ever, I approached the woman and told her I am a Unilocaler and am going to write about Paisans and I’m going to give them a great review because I really appreciate what they have done in this spot. Her husband came out from the kitchen and we chatted for several minutes and they are incredibly kind, empathetic, dedicated people who really enjoy what they do. Their kids are raised and mostly flown from the coop, but one son still works with them at their pizza place. Look closer: the walls are filled with photos of THEM– the owners and their kids, and it’s really special the more you talk to them and learn who they are, a tight-knit family doing what they love. I pathetically begged them to buy Rosario’s and give this valley a decent sit-down family Italian restaurant and they laughed and said only if their son stays with them would they take on a more upscale venture, but they are open to it. Just imagine how awesome would that be if this actually happened one day? Sign me up. Anyway, this place touched me a great deal. I felt comfortable and at-home here and it’s not often I feel that way in restaurants. I urge everyone to support this family– they are great folks who deserve your patronage, who know how to take care of their customers and are kind to all. I think places like Paisans are invaluable to any community so I will do my part to give them my business as a show of deep admiration, appreciation and respect. Oh yeah, their pizza is really good too! :)
