I’ve eaten here a few times. All I can say is they serve decent food for cheap. Yes it’s in a hospital, but hey for hospital food it’s top notch.

I have to admit, I’ve spent way too much time in hospital cafeterias this year. The Rambling Rogue Café is the best in the valley. They offer a good selection of food and are open from 6AM to 9PM. They will cook to order, plus offering prepared hot entrees. The salad bar offers many choices and is well-stocked. Every day they offer three different hot cereals for breakfast, plus raisins, dried cranberries, walnuts and brown sugar. I hope I don’t have to spend more time at RVMC, but if I do, I know there will be good things to eat!

I certainly understand the reluctance to choose hospital fare as a nice meal out. But having been sick now for years and having spent too much time in hospitals, I found myself eating breakfast at the RVMC cafeteria. Score! This has got to be the best breakfast in town! I had eggs over medium and a thick bone-in ham steak cooked to order while I watched and waited, plus home-fries and a bottle of water for under five bucks! And no problem finding an empty table! The website says that they even use some organic ingredients. Heading back soon for lunch…
