Just wanted to express how unsettled I feel from my encounter with Cambio. I’m not one to judge, so it took me awhile to write this. Mary and Cindi are the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. I needed to post this to anyone thinking about going to Cambio for the first time. Their total disregard for people totally floors me. How they stay in business with good conscience is scary. I read the other BAD reviews on here but was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Believe me, they have all these bad reviews for a reason. Do yourself a favor, STAYAWAY !

As stated in my review, I was unhappy with the peel. I did advise the esthetician that I had a reunion. She said I would be fine, with little to no side effects. She told me herself that she should have warned me of more issues and given me a sheet about the peel. She did not. Your salon did not. Good day.

I have had long hair almost all my life and I have bounced around for the past 10 years trying to find someone who could cut my hair that would fit my age and not that of a 20 or 30 year old. I would look in the mirror and feel so old looking until Mary got her hands on my color and style. We had never met, but I called her on the phone and told her I needed a real change in my look. I had loved her look in her photo on her facebook site. I was feeling a little depressed because people were thinking I was older than I actually was. That’s the worst thing when people guess your age and its always older than your really are… Mary Rascon is the owner of Cambio. I drove 3 hours from just outside of NYC to see her. I sat in her chair and let her do her thing. I was pretty nervous at first but the further she progressed the more I smiled and relaxed. She took her time making sure it was just the right length and style for me. I was amazed. I am still amazed at what she did for me and how kind and fun she was to work with. The whole salon watched my transformation and all the other clients told me how much younger my new hair style and color looked on me. They said it took 10 years off my face. I got back home and my 19 year old son looked at me and took a double take and with a huge smile he said how awesome I looked. Every where I go my friends and co-workers tell me how much younger my color and style makes me look. Three weeks later and I am still smiling. The style is easy to care for and I just can’t get over how wonderful Mary, Lee and the girls were to me. They made me feel so special and sent me off with a wonderful smile and newly found confidence. I keep saying smile but that is because I am doing that all the time now… Cambio is a fun place to go and Mary really listens to what you want. At 55, I finally found a professional that could hear what I was saying and knew how to do it. She is a class act and really knows how to use a pair of scissors and a great knowledge for color. Thank you Mary, Lee(at the front desk) and all the staff for your kindness and patience with me. It was not an easy task and it was well worth the trip for me.

I have been trying to find a new salon to cut and highlight my hair. I have had a couple disasters in the Media area so I really needed someone who knew what they were doing. I had called Cambio on a Monday afternon and spoke with Lee, who was fantastic! He was able to get me scheduled for the very next day with Juliet. The day of my appointment Lee greeted me with a wonderful smile and knew who I was walking through the door. I was then introduced to Juliet. Juliet has very professional, personable and really cares about her work. She went over my options of what I could do with my hair in term so highlights. She listened to my concerns and did exactly what I wanted. She really knew what she was talking about. I was only looking for a highlight but I ended up getting a haircut as well and I could not be happier. She just did a fantastic job. I have already received multiple compliments. All the staff was very polite and seemed to care about their work. I would definitely recommend Cambio to anyone. I will definitely be returning customer.

Mary’s response to me only serves to validate her unprofessionalism. She can’t remember that I had shoulder length hair because she was too busy insulting me and the other stylists who did my hair and have done my hair. Diana C. says it best when she states she received a juvenile phone call from Mary just as I am receiving a juvenile response. It is no wonder she has these negative reviews. As the saying goes, she can dish it out but not take it.

I have written a previous review on this establishment about the the lack of appreciation the management has for business. After submission of my review, I received a juvenile phone call from Mary, the owner herself. Instead of trying to clarify what happened at the salon that day, she TOLD me what happened and BLAMED me for taking the situation the wrong way. As an owner, she is going to defend her business but there is a difference from defending and not take responsibility for what happens in her salon. I would have gladly discussed if there was some type of miscommunication if she did not attack me over the medium of the phone about how I discouraged her business on the internet. I explained to her that as a Unilocal member, I have the freedom to write a real review on my experience and that I did not have to speak to her first. Speaking to her about my review was out of common courtesy. She replied by saying that I was an angry, unprofessional, and a spoiled being. She immediately hung up afterwards.

Also, insulted me by calling me «sticker shocked» and that was by the owner. She emailed me back after filing a complaint, saying I did not say this or that and making me out to be a fool just trying to get a free service.
