This is decent coffee, nothing special. What I don’ t understand about this place is their hours. They are located in a bank, so I would sort of get it if their hours were the same as the bank, but they aren’t. They don’t open until 8am on a weekday, 9am on a Saturday, and 10am on a Sunday. As someone who likes coffee in the morning before work, this just does not work. Their hours aren’t even in line with the bank’s, so I really just don’t understand why they don’t open at normal coffee shop hours.

This is a nice little coffee/breakfasty place on State St in downtown Media. as other have said, it’s very very quiet. So you might want to be discreet in your phone calls, unless you want everyone in the place to hear you. Prices seem to be reasonable. They have three computers to use, which were all occupied the time I was there. A nice place if you’re in the area.

Friendly service, good coffee and snacks, clean and comfortable place to catch up with friends or work. I have been working here all week and wi-fi has been fast and reliable. Lots of regulars here. Mr. Han, the proprietor offers them friendly advice along with great coffee. Beanery also sells pre-made wraps and smoothies.

So pleased with the service and beverages(hot coffee drinks, iced lattes and smoothies). They also have free(but very slow internet) computers to use. The(male) owner is very kind to us and my 9 year old loves the hot cocoa in winter and pina coloda smoothies.

I stop in occasionally for a coffee and slice of homemade banana bread, despite my «no individually wrapped baked goods» rule. To some extent I agree with VC saying that the place is too quiet, it is. I don’t know anything about the owner and whether he or she trolls on Facebook, but I will say that when you walk into coffee shops, they’re invariably populated by long faced white people staring at their computers who quickly avert their eyes if, God forbid, contact is made. It seems that coffee shops originally were going to be the breezy casual places where people could hang out & chill, but they turned into these little mini islands inhabited by «don’t approach me» types. And given that I’m a long faced white person, I think it’s okay that to some extent that I say this. So, turn some music on.

Coffee wasn’t bad, but they are rocking Costco pastries although the wraps looked good. Too quiet, no music so you can’t help hearing everyone’s conversation. Also I think the owner hangs out trolling Facebook on the«public» computers. Kinda creepy.

I must admit I’ve never actually had the coffee but the salted caramel hot chocolate is the best hot chocolate I’ve had in my entire life! Also, my friend said the coffee is great.

Sharing the land with the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, the Beanery is an excellent Internet café with several common-use computers and ample space for folks who want to come in and use their Wi-Fi. The symbiosis of a coffee house and a credit union is a notable one. There is also an ample availability of reading material. A great addition to the small but friendly Media town center.
