Medina Hardware

I distinctly remember my mother bringing me to Medina Hardware when I was a kid time and time again for solutions to common issues around the house. The staff was wonderful and the old time-​old town feeling permeates the entire shop. The old wood floors creak as you peruse knick knacks and common household gadgets. The prices cannot be beat. I hope this Medina treasure stays around for years to come.

I never entered this store without getting what I came for! Not only does Medina Hardware have that enchanting old-​time-​store atmosphere, but the staff is just like out of a time-​capsule of the good-​ol’ days where the local general store took care of all of their neighbors’ needs. I frequently joke about how whoever is assisting me never seems to have to take more than one or two steps to hand me exactly what I came to buy. At one of my visits, I asked about how best to set up a hand-​carved mail box I had found at a flea market. The sales lady suggested a simple set of screws I should apply along with a certain size piece of wood. The items were extremely reasonably priced. When inquiring about similar, more expensive items on display, I was told that those were not what I needed, and I shouldn’t spend more money for a lesser product. It was clear that a customer’s needs were more important than a bigger profit. That’s a rare thing, and I appreciate it. I can compare my shopping experience at Medina Hardware to a magical trip to Mayberry, that fictional TV-​Land place, where nails are still sold by the pound and the latest gadgets are expected to come in on the afternoon Wells Fargo Wagon. Whenever I need something from a hardware store, THIS is where I go first… and I’ll never need to look anywhere else!

I had problems with my Kia Soul key box. The pin came out. They were wonderful to help me fix the key. I was out of options and so glad I stopped here for help. Great experience. (:
