There are really good companies, and really bad companies. And, once in a while, you find a truly abysmal company. Call a Cab falls into the latter category. Yesterday morning I called this outfit to reserve a Cab pick-up at Melbourne(FL) airport. The person who answered sounded very professional, and asked a series of questions relating to our arrival time, airline and flight number, and a return phone number in case they needed to contact me. All of this information was provided. We arrived at approximately 10:30PM, collected our luggage and went outside to look for our expected taxi. Guess what, no taxi. I called the company and after an attempt to convince me that all their cabs were busy, the less than articulate female told me that the person who took the reservation shouldn’t have accepted it. She added that they were not allowed to pick up at the airport. I was incredulous, as there was no hint of a problem during initial contact. Nor was there any attempt on the part of the company to contact me so that I could make other arrangements. When I told the person that they were very unprofessional, she told me that I was not very nice! What an idiot!
