Charlie & Jake’s Brewery & Grill

The ribs were pretty good, but were not the quality and «fall-​off-​the-​bone» goodness that you would expect from a bbq joint. Good beer selection and their home brews are decent.

We’ve been going quite a bit recently, the first few times we’ve had great service and great good. We’ve noticed however, on busier nights like friday and Saturday, the whole restaurant seems to struggle. In the last 3 weeks we’ve gone two different Friday’s and each time had issues. The first Friday the food was very slow to the table and was nearly cold. While we did say something to a server, the only thing that was offered was a discount on the bill. I wasn’t looking for a discount, really wanted warm food. Last evening we had some not great service and another long wait time for food. Few things we noticed-​the servers seemed overwhelmed. While there seemed a good deal of staff moving about, everyone looked rushed. Our server in particular seemed frazzled. I’m not sure if servers are in table rotation or section rotation, but whatever it was it seemed to not be working well, as we weren’t the only table that was frustrated by the service we received. Beer menus at each table would be a great idea-​since you are a brewery, have that at the table. I asked for one, the sever dropped it off and when she finally came back around nearly 10 minutes later I was no longer interested in placing the order (it was near the end of the meal and we we had kids with us). If you are going to have specials on a chalkboard at the front, the severs should be outlining those at the table. I had to ask what they were and didn’t hear the server offer them to anyone else that was seated after us. Anywho, just my two cents. Not sure if we will be back on Friday/​Saturday night.

Nice friendly place with a nice selection of craft brews. Had a fish sandwich and corn on the cob. Several seating venues inside and out.

I enjoy lunch at Charlie & Jake’s often and it is always delish! The chicken cobb salad is my personal favorite. Recently, my family enjoyed dinner with friends at C&J and it was equally great. I had the «all-​you-​can-​eat» fried fish. You can’t beat it! The ambiance since the renovations were completed is great and the service is always pleasant & attentive. C&J will continue to be a family (and personal) fav for lunch and dinner!

Ribs were okay. The beer that they apparently brew on the premises is horrible.

Place looks great now that’s it’s renovated. Service is ok not great and pulled bbq chicken is delicious.

When ever we are here, we head to Charlie and Jake’s. Food is always EXCELLENT. The beers are AWESOME as well. My husband’s favorite place for beers. My favorite place for food. Heading there today. We have never been disappointed when going here. This place should be an Iconic site for visitors, as well as locals.

My husband and I just moved to the area and have been twice already! It’s easy and tasty! It looks like they are doing some remodels inside. The buffalo chicken sandwich is so good! My husband got the pepper jack chicken sandwich and it looked amazing as well!

Great food and atmosphere. Order the prime rib if you love a nice cut of steak. My personal goal is to try every thing on their awesome menu at least once–

We meet up at Charlie & Jake’s after golf on the weekends and have a few beers and some appetizers. They have several tv’s in the bar area and a small outdoor bar with a little seating if you want to be outside. They have several of their own beers but I recommend the Wickham Wheat. Great beer. Nice place, good service.

One of our favorite places to eat affordwably. Try their garbage can nachos, they are great with their in house sweet chili sauce. Ironically I don’t like any other beat than bud light lime so can’t comment on the micro brewery part.

Local, friendly, competent, fast, affordable and tasty!
Hostess seated us around 6:30PM on a Monday without delay. I was surprised to see samples of house brews available as I was expecting to have to buy a full glass to taste each. The samples are a bit larger than a shot glass (I recommend the Anniversary Ale and Brown Bottom Ale).
Our waiter was friendly but not obnoxious or intrusive. The food arrived as ordered and on cue. The pulled pork was pretty tasty, but I’ve had better from other local restaurants. Even so, their on-​site brewery keeps me from docking a star.

Have not been here for a long time and will never go there again. We had to ask for clean silverware three times to start off. The bathroom was so dirty and smelled so bad I could not even stay in there without holding my nose. This was at lunchtime. We both ordered the burgers. Usually in a place like this they are great. Mine was the worst I have ever had and I believe it was a frozen patty. It was only about a half an inch thick. There was a funny taste to it and I could just not eat it. Not only was that awful but there was a terrible smell to the place. Last time for me!

My wife and I gave CJs another shot because it is a neighborhood establishment that has good food. We are now regular Friday night fans as I work out of town and come home on Friday evening. Rick and Jenna do a great job keeping the bar running smoothly and the service has vastly improved since our last experience.

This review is only about the beer. I sampled all their home brews. All were very drinkable but they all lacked that craft beer taste. I liked that the owner is an Illinois boy. Hard to find Illinois represented in Florida.

Cheap and delicious! Couldn’t ask for any better.
I ordered the pork sandwich and a baked sweet potato. I would definitely go back. Lunch was $ 5.99.

We stopped in for some local brew on our vacation and were happily surprised. The bartender, Sara, was so friendly and helpful. She got us our flight of beer right away and then offered us the specials. Both of us chose an item on the specials menu: the brew burger, and the ribs. For less than $ 12 per meal, we each got a huge serving and a couple of delicious sides.
We enjoyed sitting on the patio because it was warmer outside than inside. The outdoor bar connected to the indoor bar and so our service was quick and convenient. As non-​smokers, we should have tried to sit upwind of smokers, as that kind of interrupted our enjoyment.
Finally the beer was great, but not amazing. I really liked the brown ale and the seasonal pumpkin beer.

This place is decent! We stopped in for the SF football game on Sunday and found some great bar seats.
Dricks: Very good. They have a lot of vodka varieties for the girly-​girls. They have the Three Olives cake Vodka which l like to have with sprite. Both my vodka as well as the Belvedere are $ 6.50 a drink, not bad.
Food: Decent BBQ. I honestly don’t feel it is anything top-​shelf/​special about their bbq. It is tasty, but I wouldn’t call it amazing.
Service: Bartender wasn’t super outgoing or very friendly. She didn’t smile a lot, which seemed strange… You would think she would want to make a personal connection with the 15-​some guys at the bar so they would tip her a lot of $$$. Who knows though?
Overall, I left with what I expected. A full stomach, cheapish drinks and I got to watch the game.

I haven’t been here for some time so I thought I would give a fresh review.
When I arrived I was greated and seated promptly. My order taken and a bottle of IBC root beer delivered to my table promptly. I ordered the beef and blue and mac n cheese. I enjoyed my root beer while the chef did their thing. My lunch arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The sandwich was very tasty. Sliced beef on rye with blue cheese mushrooms and bbq sauce. The beef could have been sliced thinner which would have made it easier to eat but it did not effect the taste. The mac n cheese was good, tastier than some others in the area but still on the blander side.
My server Baerbel (printed on receipt) was very friendly and attentive. I have a feeling she has been here a while which says a lot for the establishment.
A good experiance but some tweeking of the food would have made it a great one. Ill be back.
