I have been wanting to try this place for sometime now so there was no better time than the Saturday night before Father’s Day. Thankfully, I made reservations for 6 people at 7pm because the place was packed. We still had to wait a little bit but not nearly as long as others. We were seated with another family of 3. I ordered a sangria which I was supposed they had. It was pretty good. For dinner I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo. Our chef was awesome! It was a first for some people in my party and he did a really good job of entertaining everyone. After we received our drinks they brought out the mushroom soup. It was pretty plain but good. Next was the salad with ginger dressing. The dressing was so good I wanted to drink it. Yum! The shrimp and chicken were served with mixed veggies of yellow squash, zucchini, Japanese sweet potato and mushrooms– although I only had about 2 on my plate. The food was ok. The shrimp and chicken were grossly overlooked but The white sauce was delicious. I’m not sure I would ever return. Three stars for the entertainment. Also, I thought it was a bit pricey for habatchi dining.

I have been here so many times but tonight was the worse and me and my family are never coming back. They pushed my family side for a big group who’s party was barely there on time. We had to wait for their party to show up and our waitress was crappy and felt like it was her first day there. By the time we got our food it was 2 hours then after we had to wait 25 minutes for our waitress to get our check. My dad complained to the manager and all he kept saying is «what’s the problem»…what’s the point of paying a pricey meal when you get treated like crap

I was satisfied with this restaurant for the most part ~ they are able to accommodate a large group of 20+ people; however, half of the same table received their drinks & food while the other half waited… my lunch date was next to me and we were halved so I received my drinks and food before he did which was a little awkward and took longer than I was hoping. I ended up having to wait for him to finish in the long run. The food was good, though my meal was vegetarian ~ the cook threw a rogue shrimp on my plate, yikes! I have to say, the spray bottle that was used to ‘hose down the grill’ was that of a spider man to appear as though he was ‘whizzing’ all over ~ a little tacky for my taste. All in all it was good and fun!

This place was really good except my sister was not a big fan of their sushi. My mom loved the chicken tempura and the steak. She said they were amazing. I would recommend them both.

I’ve been here several times over the years. Normally, I love it but this last time was just ok. The chef who came out was great, tons of personality. However, the food seemed lackluster. Ok maybe it was just the rice, oh and the white sauce. The rice was precooked so basically he just heated it up on the flattop. In previous visits they made the rice fresh. The rice turned out to be burnt. It wasn’t good. I didn’t even eat my leftovers. The white sauce was SUPER watered down. I mean, it lacked flavor. Again, lackluster. My mom, a sauce enthusiast, agreed. Overall out of the 4 of us we were all left feeling underwhelmed. Also, I felt like cattle. The place was not busy at all(as 4 waitresses were sitting on a bench by the hostess stand) yet everything felt totally rushed from getting our salads and soups to getting the check as soon as the chef was done cooking. I wasn’t done eating! I didn’t understand rushing us out when the place was empty and it was nowhere near closing time(it might have been 8:30). I’ll probably stay away from here on out. :(

This place was amazing. I went with my boyfriend on a monday night and sat at a private table by the bar. The food came out really fast. We tried the hibachi combination of filet mignon and chicken and a sushi roll, monster roll. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked! This place did not disappoint at all. The service was the best. The waitress was really nice and always kept our glasses full. Definitely going back for more hibachi soon!

Nothing special and pricey. I would much rather basil in Melbourne and lake Washington

The food is always awesome! Had the best tempura shrimp roll there tonight of my life! This is a hibachi so sometimes the service is lacking. But overall great food and great atmosphere, hands down the best hibachi in brevard!

Stopped in for lunch during a business trip. The service was very friendly and attentive. My favorite sushi is tuna roll. Their 3 rolls lunch special is priced very nice at $ 13 and includes soup & salad. The tuna was fresh and tasty and the chef didn’t scrimp. I got very nice sized prices of tuna. Count me completely satisfied with service, food taste and quality, and price.

Delicious! Great service! Had the lobster and shrimp hibachi dinner. My husband and daughter had the steak and lobster and my son had the crunchy roll with edamame. Big portions and the staff were super entertaining when it came to hibachi. Had a couple cold beers with the meal and all was very reasonably priced. Took home leftovers to our hotel for the next day! Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Your standard hibachi restaurant. Went at lunch on a weekday, and they easily seated my party of 10. Drink service was a little sluggish. Fried rice was good, but seemed to be cooked unevenly. Ordered the chicken, which the chef doused in salty soy sauce, and was slightly over-cooked. Outside of those gripes, the food was adequately tasty. I’m a bit more sensitive to salt than others, though. Our chef went above and beyond though. Went through the standard tricks and jokes, but was extremely likable and clearly loves his job. If you’re in the area and in the mood for hibachi, Fujiyama will meet your needs. Pricing was similar to other hibachi restaurants. Lunch discounts.

Food is high quality. The hibachi experience is entertaining. Only downside is that it’s a bit pricey but a great choice for an upscale date or family night.

Once again enjoyed a well cooked meal and a show eating at the habachi. We eat here around once a month. The restaurant is kept very clean, and the food is wonderful. If you have allergies or special needs tho, ask for an English speaking waiter or the owner… usually there is a language barrier with most of the wait staff/cooks for anything out of the ordinary.

This is a nice restaurant and I always have an enjoyable time when I dined there. It’s specializes in Japanese tableside cooking. It is a communal setting large tables that you share with other diners. The food is cooked right in front of you and it’s not only fresh delicious food it’s also entertaining to watch the chef cook. They also have private tables if you do not wish to partake in the tableside cooking. It is a bit pricey for the tables top cooking seating but it’s highly worth it. They serve adult beverages.

It’s a much cleaner place than Makoto’s, with more freedom to order your favorite dish as opposed to accepting the restaurant’s chosen combinations. Dinner is pricey, but hibachi lunch is a great deal.

I’ve been here multiple times with my family or friends. Usually the food is pretty delicious but it really depends on the chef you get. Some can overcook the meat because they are trying to cook everything at once but others cook everything very well. I usually order the filet or the filet/steak with shrimp. My family and I get the shrimp tempura appetizer and monster roll as appetizers to start. My mom and stepdad love the monster roll. The shrimp tempura appetizer ia delicious. Its lightly tempura battered shrimp, zuchinni, carrots, onions and brocoli. They also bring our miso soup and ginger salads before the meal which are always good. I think the best time to come is during lunch because you get a better price for your meal and its less crowded. They are pretty good about making any substitutions you ask for. The white sauce is the best with anything. If they do mess up your order(overcook meat, etc.), they will make you a new one in the back. The food portions are usually are the heavy side. Most people get togo boxes in the end. They have a hibachi area as well as a sit down area and sushi bar. I think this place has the best hibachi in the area. The fried rice is my favorite.

Meh. We like Makoto’s but this was closer so we tried it. It was just ok. CHEF’S WEREGREATANDVERYFUN. Food, and atmosphere… not so much. Was uncomfortably warm even away from tables. Food was blah and same price as comparable places. Nothing about it will make me come back but I wish them the best.

Love the food here! Plus, they give you so much food that you can easily split your meal into lunch the next day. The hibachi chefs are quite talented and frequently shake up their cooking shows. I usually order filet mignon, and I’ve yet to have a bad piece. It melts in your mouth. And they always dump a bunch of their special sauce into their fried rice which makes it super scrumptious. The soup is usually good, and the salad ginger dressing is one of my favorites. Once in a, while, we’ll sit at the bar and order soup, salad, and a couple dozen sushi rice balls. It’s a nice lunch. We’re pretty much regulars here — so you’ll probably see us when you come. Definitely worth a visit or two.

3 stars for food…1 for experience. I am comparing this place to Makoto’s which has been a time honored family tradition for years(to be fair). Our chef was just awkward… he spent most of the time making funny noises and clearly had a language barrier that inhibited his communication with the group. Food– rice was bleh, meat was oversaturated in teriyaki sauce and lost flavor. The lobster and shrimp were indistinguishable. There was no liver patty or shrimp appetizer. Their dipping sauces were just not on par. On a happy note yay for being close to my dad’s house… that’s the only reason we’d go back.

I love this spot for lunch on the week days. You get so much bang for your buck with the hibachi lunches. Unfortunately, the specials aren’t offered on the weekend and to me dinner prices are kind of steep since the lunch is the same thing for a lower price. However, since it’s always been absolutely delicious when I go fujiyama’s still gets 5 stars.
