I work close by and always wanted to see how this deli was compared to the others around the area. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to try it out. I got the«Rolling Roaster» which is basically cooked roast beef, bbq sauce, seasoned french fries on a roll Price I paid was $ 8.70. The portion was mediocre as I was still hungry afterwards. I will probably not go back as it was quite pricey for a small sandwich.

I found this place by accident on the way to a Costco market. They have daily lunch, hot coffee, tea(and good selections). Fresh fresh fresh… I will return Friendly as can be! Many locals come back time and time again.

At 6:30am on a Saturday I had a little time to kill so I ventured south on 110 for a place to grab a bite. Passing one deli that just didn’t pass the eye test, I continued a half a mile further to Deli Worx. Visually appealing, well lit, clean parking lot, passing my eye test with flying colors. The moment I stepped my first foot inside, I was the recipient of a behind the counter look, that put a kibosh on the initial good feelings I had before entering. Clearly needing time to set up, I was looking around to order what it appeared they were ready to serve, the looks continuing. The stolid Asian gentleman behind the counter wore an expression of face, as if barely aware to what was going on, filling me with the desire to extract myself quickly. It’s just that I was trying to not order an item they may not be prepared to make, the looks made me feel like a public disturbance. One black coffee, one gallon of water and a prison like buttered bagel and off I went, not looking back, not looking to return. Weird.

Work in Plainview, stumbled upon this place accidentally. Ended up loving it! I get this place a couple of times a month. I pass by several delis to come here.

I don’t know if is just me but ever since they sold the business the food quality is poor, I used to stop there in the am to buy breakfast and salad for lunch my very own favorite Santa Fe, it was always fresh and available now the fridge is empty everyday or maybe just the days I stopped by(my luck) the bacon in the breakfast sandwiches is so thin that you can’t even taste it Honestly if you raise your prices at least keep the same quality. It really sucks when businesses go under new management and they don’t improved or at least keep the same quality

Sandwiches and salads are all delicious and filling, one of the best delis I’ve ever been to. The yogurt parfait and chocolate pudding are my favorite desserts.

I work in Plainview, and i drive by 4 or 5 deli’s just to go here. There are two sandwiches which we always order, The Rolling Roaster, and The Philly Cheesesteak. Both are phenomenal! There are about 6 other people at my office that orders different items, from Breakfast, Lunch, Sandwich’s and Salads. During rush hour, we order ahead and pick up within 15 –20 minutes our order is almost always ready. This deli is great, and the service is outstanding! Keep up the good work! — From your friends at Sir Speedy of Plainview!

Good overall deli with fresh meats and great choice. Nothing spectacular but worth a stop in. Always better than any chain

Seeing as I’m going to my first Unilocal LI event/mixer I thought I should review a couple of places I have been to recently. Long Island has more deli’s then houses. They are conveniently placed around rt 110 for all the people who work in office cubicles and only get 30 – 45 min for their lunch break. There are some deli’s that are closer to 4 star restaurants then quick eateries and this is not one of them. Almost all of the food here stinks. Its serviceable for a quick lunch but going here more then 1 – 2 times a week isn’t a good idea. They have a decent selection of snacks. They make a ton of different sandwiches. Can’t really mess any of this up. I had one of their hot lunch plates and the whole time I was eating I was trying to guess if I was actually eating meat or not. I had tun salad on white bread and the bread was kinda stale. We would order Breakfast from them and always had a missing item which they would complain about coming back for. The prices are great in regards to the better deli’s in the area but that is all they have really. There is a $ 10 minimum for using your card. Most places don’t do this. Staff is fairly nice and friendly. Its never really busy. Suburban Eats and Newstand Deli are fairly crowded at the lunch hour so if you don’t have the time coming here seems like a good idea but I would just hit a fast food spot or Subway to be honest.

Used to go to this deli for lunch on a regular basis since I work nearby. The employees are snippy and the service leaves lots to be desired. The quality of the food is just so-so. Not worth my time, since the wait during lunch is about half of my lunch break.
