Crumpy’s Hot Wings

These wings were awesome. We got half hot sweet wings and lemon pepper. Very convenient but a bit pricey. The service was pretty good. Overall the experience was good.

My past experiences here have been awful, but I sent the brother today since he was in the area. The wings were hot and good. I’m not sure of the customer service because my brother is very nonchalant. If the service matches the food, I may be able to add them back to my list of regulars.

This place is cool. Been eating here since I’ve moved here. Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop don’t even come close. The customer service is great… Gotta love that Mrs Teresa Brown… Went in with a complaint on my order from last week & she gave me a discount last night. BWW or WS won’t do that. Their honey gold sauce is IT, along with their jerk and lemon pepper. If ur riding on I-​55 thru Whitehaven n Memphis or just thru that area period, stop by and get u some. U won’t be disappointed. I suggest calling in though, unless u have 15 – 25 mins to wait on ur order. #CRUMPYSHOTWINGS

I got wings here on Saturday afternoon for lunch. I got the «Regular Hot» cut wings. The taste was perfect. Enough heat to enjoy, but not so much that you get more hot then flavor. The only drawback I had were the pieces were a bit small. So, if you normally eat 10, I would get 15. Good food though. I did take-​out, so I can’t speak for the «shitty» attitude. But the girl behind the counter was friendly.

honey gold wings — ok, can’t really describe the sauce… kinda sweet, kinda bbq-​ish, a little spicy.
fried okra-​I LOVED these… but that’s bc I LOVE okra.
fried green tomatoes — I guess it’s a taste one has to get used to. they were tart, but I don’t know if that’s what they are supposed to taste like.

First and foremost, I am shocked that I am the first person to do a review on this location and I am not even from Memphis?!
However my mother stays minutes within this place and they have some of the best wings in the south. You may think Buffalo, NY is the wing capital of the world, well then Memphis is the 2^nd city of wings, because there are a lot of them around the place.
You have DD’s, Windy City, D’Bo’s — just to name a few, but Crumpy’s is definitely tops in the city. This location stays pack, so your wings are always fresh. It is in the hood, but I’m about the quality of the food, not location or ambiance.
They have this golden sauce, that is hard to explain — but once you eat the first one — you can’t stop eating them!
Good wings, good sauces, — hot and fresh when you get it. The only knock, it takes a minute to get your food.
Check’em out when you come to town or if you are already here and never had them!
