We were looking for a quick place to grab lunch before heading out to the next town on our trip and a nice man out front showed us their appealing menu and sold our kids on the place. We were seated and it took over 10 minutes for the waitress to approach us. The couple next to us left after waiting 20 minutes and not being approached. We placed our order and waited. And waited. And waited. We watched tables being served but after 45 minutes… nothing for us yet. After an hour we saw 2 tables get served that came in after us. I grabbed the waitress and asked her how much longer and she said there were 4 more tables in front of us, so about 25 more minutes! They seemed very confused as tables of people were not getting their change, orders were going to wrong tables, etc. Finally, after 1−½ hours, our food arrives, and she drops down a kids meal in front of me(which I did not order). She had to go back and get me the right plate. Then she places my husband’s pulled pork sandwich plate down and says, «we ran out of buns. Sorry!» Are you kidding me??? No heads up or anything. Just a pile of pork on the plate with no bun. We got the bill and no compensation for the bun issue, the wait, the poor service, or anything. Thankfully, I found a Groupon while we waited to help me feel better about the whole experience. I will admit that my sons meals were the best — the Loosie Burger and Kids Chicken tenders. The best part of the whole experience was the entertainment — Chris Gales. He was incredible and inviting my youngest on stage for a photo op and to help him play his guitar. Other than Chris Gales, we were VERYDISAPPOINTED. And I’m not one to normally criticize.

We went on St Patty’s Day 2016 for the first time. I had the fried shrimp and my friend had the rib-eye steak. GREATBIGMISTAKE. The shrimp was over cooked, tough and had been cooked in OLDOIL. I only eat two of them. The steak was VERYTHIN and TOUGHOVERCOOKED. IT was like eating the sole of a shoes. Music was Great and they make a good drink. Will be putting Flynn’s on the DONOTRETURNLISTFORSURE. Their were a lot of people from England and Scotland in there that night and their food was also BAD you could hear them talk. WHAT A BACKEYEFLYNN’S GAVEMEMPHISTHATNIGHT./

We stopped in after the Grizzlies game to eat. They quit serving food at 7?!? Are you shitting me. No where online does it say this. I checked. We are in town for the night and bought a groupon for this place. The groupon can only be used on food so we couldn’t get a refund from them or use it to drink. So clearly they just lost our business.

Shared the captain’s platter. Delectable. Enjoyed every minute of it. After my meal I used the bathroom. It was repulsive. It looks like they cleaned the bathroom with dirt. I could literally see the dirt in the air I was breathing in. I can’t believe it’s legal for a restaurant to have a restroom this filfthy.

It’s a Beale St dive, but the food is decent. I had the Memphis Loosie burger and fries. Their sweet tea isn’t the best, but they do have live music and cute little servers.

Awful. Completely and utterly awful. First, we were seated at a dirty table which they never washed down. I had to grab the menus from the door guy because you couldn’t get any service. While we got our drinks within 10 minutes of being seated we waited a FULLHOUR to get our meal. We had looked at the time when we walked in. Five more minutes and we swore we were getting up to leave. It would have been the best thing we could have done. Sad, sad, sad! The catfish was undercooked. The baked beans were in a cup you would get your tartar sauce in. It was literally THATSMALL! The hush puppies were bland and the coleslaw was luke warm. We ordered chicken tenders from the appetizer list, they came with the entrees and were also lukewarm and tough. We’re still sitting at the booth and our feet are sticking to the floor. Yes, it really is THAT bad. This is the second worst place in Memphis we visited. Save yourself and go down the street to BB’S.

Simply incredible food. The ribs(any of them: wet, dry, Cajun, or deep fried) are absolutely delicious. The loosies are only a half step behind the ribs on the delicious scale. Do your tastebuds a favor if you are in Memphis, EATATFLYNN’S!!! I’ve been to Memphis on three occasions and eaten four meals at Flynn’s. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Can’t wait to eat there again!

We were greeted and baited into the establishment by a very nice gentleman. Had a sweet, adorable and attentive waitress. The musician was extremely talented and entertaining. However, they raved about the ribs, so we ordered the rib platter and sampled three of them. Cajun was average, dry was dry, fried was cooked to hell(even the bone was burnt), and the sides were not worth writing about. Even after our disappointment in the main course we decided to give the peach cobbler a try. It was average as well. Long and short of it, probably happening place when your drunk and not looking for a meal.

Walking on Beale St sight seeing and decided to check this spot out dispite them only having a 3 star review, my friends wanted bbq so we chose this place. Service is slow, but I think it’s because it’s only 3 servers working and they aren’t the cream of the crop type employees. They’re helpful and get the orders correct though. Food– I had deep fried half rack which was nothing special. I don’t see the rave at all. They tasted boiled & them baked to me. The seasoned fries tasted like bagged frozen fries. My potato salad was good. Would I come back with all the other restaurants on Beale St? No I wouldn’t.

Just had drinks here but what a fun place. Live music and great location. If downtown you should stop in. Deep fried ribs looked great.

The only karaōke place on Beale Street. The place is usually packed, but we’re lucky to get a table up front. We watched our friends sing and had great time supporting them. The place is like any bar which has the karaōke stage and DJ area. It’s pretty dark inside the bar. Be care where you step. Had a great time and there is no charge getting in. ID is checked before you can enter.

I really did not enjoy anything I ate at this restaurant. I ordered the seafood combination platter and it arrived looking the a clusterf**k of mystery sea creatures. I literally could not identify 50% of the fried blobs on my dish. The catfish was AWFUL and super fishy smelling(not in a good way). Our waitress was really nice and the live music was A+. Food sucked d*ck.

Honestly this place is rough. The food is mediocre at best, the atmosphere is probably better in the dark, and the staff is so underwhelmed to be here it’s almost comical. We are one of 3 tables seated right now, the bartender and bar back are sitting at the bar reading and it took our waitress 5 minutes to ask if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered and waited about 30 minutes for a pulled pork sandwich that was too soggy to pick up, the honest to god worst Mac n cheese I’ve ever had and a decent to small portion of ribs. The pork and ribs were okay but didn’t knock our socks off in the least. I probably could have made something similar at home and I’m no top chef. My iced tea cup has been empty for about 15 minutes with no sign of the waitress. We should have done our research before landing on this spot, there are plenty of other restaurants on Beale street that probably give even half a shit more than this place.

This place was pretty good, but not my favorite BBQ. I think we just tried the wrong things. I had pulled pork and my husband had the brisket. The whole ticket was pretty expensive for two people at lunch.

Flynn’s is becoming our go to place for lunch or dinner before Grizzlies games. Cheap beer and good food in a family-friendly environment that still feel like you’re on Beale Street are its main selling points. The stuffed burgers are great and come with the perfect portion of fries. On our latest visit I had a burger stuffed with bacon and sausage and topped with a fried egg and my daughter had the catfish. My burger was juicy and delicious and she approved of the catfish. I’m typically a fan of tarter sauce, but they put a nice twist on it. Also, did I mention $ 5 big beers? They brag about their deep fried ribs, but after seeing all the mixed reviews I still haven’t talked my self in to finding out first hand how they are. They have a great guitar player on stage everything time we stop in that plays the blues.

Came in to try the BBQ ribs. They were unbelievable, best ribs I’ve EVER had. I got the half rack«wet» style and ate every possible piece of meat even though I was sooo stuffed. Haha. Great place, lots of fun! They had an amazing guy playing the guitar and singing. I think this must be the best place to eat on the entirety of Beale Street.

This is karaōke downtown? This is a sad representation. I thought karaōke was about singing and having fun. I didn’t realize it was about packing as many people on stage as possible to ruin any noise you might generate… This is horrendous. Honestly the worst karaōke I have ever experienced.

We went to Flynns down on The World Famous Beale Street for lunch today. They have Happy hour pretty much all day and a live blues musician Chris Gales. and a Groupon $ 25 for $ 12. Chris told me he’s been playing there for 5 years and his picture does show up in other postings It’s a dingy little blues bar with average food, but it was enjoyable sitting there eating, having a beer and burger. I guess things area little in Memphis and on Beale Street this time of year. I’m told there is much more action in the summertime.
