I would award a ZEROIF I could. I’ve been flying thru Memphis for more than a decade. This is a sorry excuse for a full service restaurant. The service part is lacking and when you actually get the attention of your«server» it is surly. The food is only mediocre and expensive. A plain salad approaches $ 10.00! Unfortunately, it is one of the few alternatives to BBQ. The need to post a police officer outside it — keep walking nothing to see here.

I do not recommend eating here unless you have no taste buds. Hands down the worst meal I’ve ever had in an airport. I wish I would have stuck with a bag of potato chips, seriously.

After a hard-charging weekend in SF plus daylight savings time and then the red eye into a 2.5 hour layover before my flight into Philly, I immediately did two things when I walked off the plane. First, I thanked all that is Holy that I was in Memphis, not Atlanta, for the layover. Second, I went off in search of food fuel to get me through the last leg of my trip. Grisanti’s Bowl a Pasta, located in Terminal A, offered a limited selection of breakfast items. I was wary, as any reasonable person might be of airport food, but dude next to me seemed to be enjoying his ham & cheddar omelet. I went with what turned out to be perfectly serviceable biscuits & gravy, plus coffee. It came to just over $ 9 together, and that’s why I’m giving this 2 stars even though I enjoyed the food. I’ve paid as little as $ 1.25 for the greatest biscuits & gravy I’ve ever had* and something like $ 3.25 for the mass produced version** so I’m not so happy with paying $ 7. I recognized a little airport mark-up is at work, and accept that its inevitable, but 200% of the higher end of the range is ridiculous. Still, least worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten in an airport. * Gas station in Texas panhandle. ** Cracker Barrel.
