I’m not real big on Beale St. since getting older and the crowds so packed in. However, once back out of that fray Hard Rock was a nice stop. The band was great and looked like they literally stepped right out of the 80’s. The place was crowded enough to be fun, but not packed in like sardines. We could have avoided the very long security line and just stayed at Hard Rock. The only problem is I have lived there on and off through the years, but my wife had never been on Beale so it was mandatory, lol !! I’ve never eaten here, even back when there was no security line to get on Beale, but it’s always been a fun place.

This is by far the worst managed restaurant in downtown Memphis. The wait staff is great but the people they allow to manage must be GED holders at best. Such a shame. I tried sit 8 people at two 4 seat tables. Denied. You can have just one table. Then he sat 2 people at the very same 4 top we couldn’t have. Disservice to the customers and the wait staff.

I ordered a piña colada. It was pretty good. We were sitting at the bar. No one checked on us at all. When I told the bartender I needed to pay he said I owed $ 18. I asked for a bill. He THEN rung up our drinks. The bill was actually $ 15.25. Wow. Bad business.

Do not like the new location. Very small. Wait time is long with nowhere to sit and wait. Extremely short staffed. Had a great server Robert who was also the bartender. The bartender should not have to wait tables. There was plenty of open tables but only about 3 to 4 servers. So no one could be seated because there wasn’t any wait staff. The hostess was also trying to help with tables but then there was no one to greet us when we entered the restaurant and get a wait time.

Great for groups! We did one of their set menus for a group of 29 people and we paid $ 18 per person including tax and gratuity. We went on one of their Memphis Monday music nights, and not only did we get to hear local artists, they let our gospel choir, Voices of Imani perform too.

I was really impressed with hard rock. Their rooftop patio is amazing. They have a fire pit when the weather was chilly. Great service. Great food(I had salmon) bartenders were excellent and it was a great venue for live music. I will be back. It’s one of the best restaurants to go to on Beale

The Place is just amazing, they have a awesome décor. friendly staff that I enjoyed talking with, the food was ok, the steak was under seasoned but it was still good, I wanted to try something else on the menu so I ordered the local lengendary, It was different but I would not order it again, it just didn’t satisfied my pallet, but the fries were delicious with the sauce that it came with. if were to come to Memphis TN again, I would probably not come here right away, but I would come to try how they do their ribs.

An extra star for surprising me with how good it was. We went for a birthday party and I was not expecting much. However, when we walked in, I found the new location to be a cool space with pretty good music. We were seated upstairs. There is an ok bar and beer selection. The service was really good. The orders in varied from chicken tenders to the ribeye. I must admit the ribeye was cooked as ordered and was shockingly good. The others also said their food was good. So if you are in downtown Memphis and want to check a pretty good place, I recommend the Hard Rock.

Still not impresse after waiting a year to try it again. My daughter wanted the experience and it was close to the Orpheum. I got seated in a dark cubby while and had to use my phone to read the menu. I suppose the whole no light user the one coming from the window must be for ambiance for couples. The Cobb salad was good our server Myles was pleasant and attentive. But due to the fact I ate in the dark and I got charged $ 3.60 for a soda I didn’t order. Me and Hard Rock do not seem to be compatible. I’m giving them a 2.

Check another off my list. This one has moved to the west end of Beale Street into a building where Elvis would buy his outfits. The food was typical HRC menu(and prices). Still cost $ 17 for a burger, fries and soda. But I was there for the atmosphere. I was here in a Friday evening. As I arrived a stage show was getting ready to start. The guy(I believe he said his name was Memphis Joe but not certain) was very entertaining. He was alone up there playing his guitar singing Memphis inspired songs and telling the story of how Memphis is important to the history of music. His performance is the reason I added a fourth star.

Service was good but food wasn’t. My steak was so overcooked it was gray and the mashed potatoes were COLD! Like cold to the touch. Not luke warm, actually chilly. My sisters wad the same way and we barely got an apology. The pretzel was pretty good though.

I came in with a large group during the Unilocal burger binge and got the Death by Cheeseburger sliders that they created specially for this promotion. I ate two of the three(one had blue cheese on it and I am not a fan of anything with blue cheese) sliders and they were huge and they were surprisingly really really good. I also got two different kinds of their virgin drinks and they were so good and hit the spot since it was so hot outside. I love the new location and this was my first visit here since they relocated. It was decorated beautifully and I while we were waiting on the rest of our party to arrive I was able to walk around and look at the memorabilia they have on display on the second floor. Two bands played while we were eating dinner and they were great entertainment although they were loud, but not too loud. Our waitress was very good, but it was kinda slow, but we weren’t in a hurry to get out and were just socializing with each other. I definitely look forward to coming back here and trying something off of their regular menu and taking advantage of their complimentary valet parking(if you spend 25 dollars) just not to worry about the hassle of finding parking downtown.

I love Hard Rock Café especially the new location, which had been there little over 9 months. Keep up the great job! I feel there are special servers, cooks, gift shop employees and managers that just take care of its customers. I love being a Hard Rock VIP!

Yeeeeah buddy!!! This Hard Rock is my second fav out of several I have visited. You can’t beat the one in Key West with fireworks exploding on my plate, but this is a close second nonetheless. Justin Timberlake’s suit at the front door, an awesome rocker chick with a better voice than half the contestants on American Idol these days, and absolute rockstar service!!! Oh I’m happy to accompany anyone who wants to hang out here. Way to go Hard Rock for giving us Unilocalers an incredible plate of sliders!!! The gal behind the bar who gushed that she tasted them at their weekly or monthly meeting made me even happier.(Some places barely knew what to do with us Burger Bingers but these people actually included the Unilocal special in their work meeting! Kudos for staff training and getting your crew excited about specials!) went on and on about how she wished they could keep the Death By Cheeseburger sliders on the menu. I soon saw why. They were each very carefully crafted and extremely scrumptious.

SHOCKER! This place, was absolutely freaking awesome! We came in and a valet parked our vehicle(which btw, is free if you spend $ 25 or more). We walk in to good music and a GORGEOUS ambiance. Like, borderline fine dining ambiance. The server was very attentive and friendly throughout, and the manager came to check on us several times over. The appetizer platter was quite substantial and good, and ordered their burger sliders( Unilocal Burger Binge promo). I was thoroughly impressed! I hope they wind up on the regular menu but there’s plenty of other things to try. The only real dings on this places scorecard were their cheesecake(no good) and expensive drinks($ 10.25 for a sangria???). Overall though, I was very happy with my experience and am looking forward to my next visit!

We came for burger binge week and were quite thrilled. One reason we don’t come downtown too often is parking can be a pain but here there is free valet if you spend $ 25, yes! This was my first visit at the new location and I must say they did a good job maintaining the beauty of the space. We sat on the 2nd level and enjoyed listening to music. Since we were with a group I ordered the big appetizer platter, everything was yummy and I would get it again. The burger special was great, I’m said its not a regular option but it certainly peaked my interest in other burgers on the menu. We had sangrias for drinks and they were great too. The food prices are very reasonable, especially considering you are getting entertainment with your meal. Drinks were a little high($ 10.25 each) but really, it’s Beale street and a music venue this is just how the world works. Service was a little slow but I don’t mind when there’s music but just keep in mind if you’re looking for a quick bite. Overall I’d recommend this location and know that we will be back.

First stop on our Unilocal Burger Binge tour and we were delighted with the Death by Cheeseburger offering(what a way to go) The three sliders were all unique in their own right and tasty. My favorite was the bleu cheese with a balsamic tomato topping. The portion was huge and could easily feed two with the addition of the awesome fries, I had leftovers for lunch the next day. The bartender Ron was excellent and handled a trio of guys that were slightly overserved and being obnoxious to him, very professionally.

I have visited the Memphis hard rock several times since it’s move to the top of Beale street. I will say, I think it is a neat place to grab a drink before hitting up Beale street or to take someone from out of town for a quick cocktail. They have some neat drinks and the décor is nice. But the fun ends there. My one non-cocktail only visit really left a lot to be desired in terms of value and service. During a recent lunch time visit I stopped in for a burger(who screws burgers up right?). It was a relatively slow weekend afternoon. I ordered a burger of course. Ordering expectations and what you get are where my first issue starts. The server asked if I would like to have a salad in stead of fries, so I said sure. I got a salad and a burger. Well, when I got the bill I realized I hadn’t been swapped a salad for fries, nor charged the typical $ 1 upsell price many places charge. Instead I had been charged a small salad size price. If you’re going to charge me for a salad then give me the fries! In addition, the cost for the salad was over $ 4, despite the menu saying adding a salad to a burger costs $ 3. This discrepancy is probably the one reason I will not return here. I cannot stand places that have these kinds of errors. It’s just dishonest and a place like hard rock has been around long enough that errors like this should be avoidable. My next issue was quality. The burger did not come with all the toppings advertised and frankly was not more than I would have gotten had I popped a frozen burger in my oven at home. It was small and tasted horribly prepackaged. The salad was good though… I will give them that! Presentation was also terrible. I had a tiny burger on a huge plate and a decent size salad overflowing from a too small bowl. Service also was lacking. The bartender who was serving me(I sat at the bar) was generally just inattentive. My overall experience was terrible. I left feeling like I was in some amateur joint. But I wasn’t. I was in legendary Hard Rock, who should have it’s life better together than this. With it’s experience and high prices — I sure expected a heck of a lot more. I will not be revisiting here, nor bringing others here unless I sense a serious re-commitment to quality and value by this company.

I’m a frequent customer at the Hard Rock Café, Food is good, and the music is outstanding. Twice a month on Monday evenings the Memphis Music Commission hosts Memphis Music Mondays at the Hard Rock, when 4 or 5 local groups perform.

Everyone knows that I am not really a chain restaurant girl, but I have to say that I think the Hard Rock is great for Memphis… especially on Beale St. I’ve been here countless times and it always impresses me. The venue is really pretty(like surprisingly pretty… there’s nothing like it on Beale… and dare I even use the word classy?) and they’ve had some fantastic bands and live music. Oh, and can we talk about their patio on the 2nd floor? Holy moly! When they have a DJ playing up there that is the only place I want to be. It has some seriously good views of Memphis. It is on my short list for a private party venue… and my 30th birthday is coming up so if you’re my friend you may be seeing it pretty soon… ugh/yay…I’m so conflicted… when did I get so old? There is a Lasnky’s(you know, the clothier to the King) store attached to the restaurant(in addition to their gift shop) and their celebrity items are pretty awesome… especially the Elvis ones… and Jerry Lee Lewis stuff… I really like seeing Memphis artists hanging on their walls. And if you’re wondering what to get, I can’t recommend the Twist & Shout enough… a milkshake with alcohol — swoon! Oh, and yes, those are BACON pieces you see on top!

I had low expectations and was thinking tourist trap. Wow i was blown away at great food and great portions. Great atmosphere and we went in with a child and they had kids in different section which was cool and handy. Way friendly staff we had chelsea who took care of us at table and will be back. Wouldve liked to have heard older music mixed with new but the place blew me away

I was excited about going to the new Hard Rock Club inthe location that what used to be the old Elvis club, formerly clothier to the king Lansky’s. I was expecting it to be much better than the old hard rock on Beale Street. To be fair I don’t think it’s quite finished yet. Looks like downstairs is going to be an additional stage. Some other rooms are incomplete and the upstairs patio does not have tables or chairs yet. Overall to me, I did not get the Rock and Roll excitement that I got from the old layout where most of the tables were facing the stage. My girlfriend loved it though, she said it was so much more upscale. I the appetizer sampler expecting the Tower of appetizers. Turns out that they’ve changed it, now its a big plate of appetizers(see photo) But they now have dropped the spring rolls and potato skins and replace them with bruschetta and spinach and artichoke dip. I found the new appetizer sampler to be adequate, but it used to be one of my favorite things to order on the planet My girlfriend says it was delicious and the panko onion rings and panko chicken tenders were the best she ever had in her life. I think she just like saying the word panko. The artichoke dip was great but we had to send it back to get warmed up and it still really wasn’t hot. My girlfriend, who loves artichoke dip, said it was just alright. They have portraits of rockstars that have died from an overdose over the bar. I kind of liked it but I also found it kind of morbid. I heard that they were going to have all kinds of Elvis memorabilia but they didn’t seem as much as the old location. The gift shop has some cool new stuff I like the idea that they now have valet parking and its only $ 10. Overall a great place to stop for one drink and then move on.
