Mercury Valet

I avoid dry cleaners because I have this silly fear that I’ll drop off my beloved clothes to be cleaned and never see them again. I mean, I know that probably rarely happens, but weird stuff happens to me all the time! If only one person’s shirt was ruined in a freak dry cleaning mishap, it would probably be mine. And it would probably be my very favorite shirt in the whole wide world. Well… there are times you just have to face your fears. Like, when your favorite (dry clean only) silk shirt is just hanging in the closet looking unkempt and sad. I turned to Unilocal for recommendations. Mercury Valet is close to my house so I brought them two silk shirts. To my surprise, I was told they would be ready the next day. I went back the next day around the same time and my shirts where clean and ready to go! The price was fair, too!

I have been struggling to find a decent place for dry cleaning and this is the best I’ve found yet!
Service was very polite and fast (available the next day!!). The price was also reasonable.
I’ll be visiting again soon!

When I recently bought a house here in Memphis, Mercury Valet sent me a nice welcome-to-the-‘hood note and a $ 25 gift certificate.
Shortly thereafter, my dog puked on my comforter, so naturally I brought it in. And they wouldn’t honor the gift certificate! «Sorry ma’am, this is just for regular dry cleaning, you know, clothing items.»
I don’t much care about 25 bucks, but soooo not the way to work if you’re trying to win the loyalty of new customers. Not going back.

Not only do they do an amazing job they are absolutely affordable! I’ve gotten several items dry cleaned there now, so I am confident in giving them 5 stars! I recently had my winter pea coat dry cleaned which was absolutely filthy (lint, dusty etc.- basically it was embarrassing). When I went to pick it up however, it literally looked like a new coat! It’s now spotless. I am very pleased and will continue to go there.

This place is just up the street from me, so it’s my go-​to spot for dry cleaning and minor alterations. They do very nice work, are reasonably priced, and even send 2 for 1 coupons in the mail. The people that work there are super nice — when I was trying to track down a pair of my boyfriend’s pants (still MIA, don’t ask), they were happy to check their records for me, and even figured out that I had never picked up a couple of shirts (from 2 months prior, shhhh). Dry cleaning will never be exciting, but at least here it’s hassle-​free.

Nicest people on the planet. Dry cleaning looks fine! (I can’t really tell the difference, only if there is a mistake — but no issues here.) Sure, it’s expensive but so are all the others in Memphis. They sometimes have coupons online.

This is the only place I will take my dry cleaning! They always do a wonderful job and it is cheap. Not only that, they offer free cleaning of American Flags. I’ve also had 2 suits altered here. The women that do it are professional and the alterations are quick and inexpensive. Mercury Valet is also involved in a lot of charities. They are big supporters of the humane society and I think everyone can get behind that!
