More Space Place

I love this place! It’s so cute, very cool furniture that you don’t see in other stores, and the prices are excellent. So much more furniture than space-​saver Murphy-​beds too. Modern living room furniture, cool rugs, local art, etc. the store goes way back, it’s much larger than it appears from the street. A must-​see before you buy in any furniture in Memphis.

We live downtown, and although we love it one of the drawbacks is the space issue. You cannot get a lot of space downtown without paying for it. We live in a loft, and it is really spacious and open. There is room for a 2^nd bedroom, but the walls are just dividers and we prefer not to have them blocking our window views. We had no clue how to solve the office/​spare room for family and friends from out of town issue until a neighbor had More Space Place come in and put in a custom Murphy bed/​desk and cabinet combo. It was seriously amazing.
When we first saw it, we had no clue there was a bed underneath the intricate built in looking bookcases and desktop. The book cases are completely full and look immovable. Then, he slid them to the sides and underneath was a queen size bed you could pull down from the wall. Now, Murphy beds in my head are more the cheap jenky kind with springs and non-​supportive mattresses hidden behind a door. Not this one! Seriously gorgeous– and what an ideal use for a small space. It would be perfect for a studio apartment. I cannot imagine how much it would add to the resale of a condo either. Everyone has space issues to deal with, especially those of us who choose to live downtown in a condo or loft. They just simply don’t give you the space options a house would.
More Space Place is an amazing solution to the spare room or office argument. You know, the one where you decide if you’d rather have your guests on your couch or your home office in a corner of your cramped living room. They take time and pay attention to the details. Their work is amazing, and we plan on getting them in to do an estimate soon. We met the guys that installed our neighbors unit and they were very friendly and gave us a ton of info. The pricing is really reasonable too. I cannot wait to get a Murphy bed in my loft. I mean, seriously how cool is a bed you can pull out of the wall? It’s almost like a secret passageway, where you can push the library book shelves back and go down into a dungeon of fun! (But better. Much better– and so much less dungeony)
