The place doesn’t look like much but the food is fantastic! Not only did everything taste so fresh and delicious, but amount of food you receive for the price was also fabulous. The service was great as well. This is definitely a place we will visit again.

Ordered takeout last week, and loved it! I got hot & sour soup and Kung Pao Shrimp. Everything was cooked great, no surprises, and the lady working at the front was super nice. The place has multiple tables at about 6pm, telling me this was a good place to be! I will be back!

Great service and short wait. Food was great but wasn’t as spicy as expected. This is good American Chinese food. The crab ragoons were delicious. Beef szechuan was very good, though still not spicy enough! Will definitely be back!

I have been searching out Chinese places for a little while now. I am not sure why, but it seems to be all I want for lunch these days, well besides Mexican, burgers, you know, other health food that is… I had to go to Charlie’s meat market on summer so I whipped out the bookmarks and came across this place. It is a bit down the road from my destination but I headed there nonetheless. I arrive to find a very dated place both inside and out. It was clean at a glance so who cares how old the place is. Let’s eat. The servers seem like family and they work together well to make sure you are taken care of. I had great service while I was there and noticed they knew several customers by name as soon as they walked in the door. They seem to know what they wanted and confirmed their assumptions with their guest. I thought that was really cool. I saw a General Tso’s special on the sign by the door and I told her that’s what I wanted. It came with Soup and an Eggroll. It think it’s like $ 8.00 or something The Hot and Sour soup was amazing! It was almost perfect in my useless opinion. It was slightly sweet, wonderfully savory, with a little spicy bang at the end. I ate it like I was eating for the first time in a week. I ate it all, even the unidentifiable stuff! GS Chicken arrives and I was blown away by the freshness and how it was prepared. It was kind of crunchy without any visible batter. It may have been coated in oil and flour and then cooked, I am not sure, but it tasted awesome. There were no unknown cuts of pre-breaded chicken here, just fresh cuts of juicy awesome white meat. The sauce was equally as impressive. The veggies were bright and crisp. They were cooked very well, just the way I like them. The fried rice was pretty much perfect. The fried rice alone is reason to come back. It was fluffy and fresh, the egg and veggies were cooked perfectly. Look at my picture and you will see how good it looked. I was impressed! I will be back!

this place was alright. We got the general tsos chicken and it tasted fresh, the lo mein wasn’t bad either. However the wonton soup was too salty. Overall slightly above average Chinese food.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Memphis. Our very favorite menu item is the hot and sour soup. Our 8 year old even gets a cup every time we go. We have never had a bad experience. Food and service are always on point! The establishment is old and out dated but don’t let that keep you for trying this gem! Prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food with every entrée.

Standard American/Chinese menu but a tad better than the average. Each dish we had was very fresh and cooked perfectly but nothing surprised me. Nothing stood out to make me want to return but if you like the standard American/Chinese menu this place is a good choice. The restaurant is very clean and our server was charming and efficient.

This is a good Chinese restaurant with a good number of options for everyone. I’ve tried several other places around Memphis in order to find a good Chinese spot but they were all lacking. This place is really good I think — not great, but the food is legit and the people who work there are awesome and will remember you!

This is my favorite Chinese in Memphis… can’t believe it took me so long to discover it. The ingredients are super fresh and everything I’ve tried is delicious. The combination dinners are a great value.

By far the best Chinese I’ve had in Memphis. I’ve tried various places for Chinese from downtown to midtown, but it took me forever to find one that was both delicious and worth the price. The wonton soup is great to start and has lots of veggies in it. Sweet and sour chicken, broccoli and chicken, and general tsao chicken did not disappoint at all! A lot of people have commented on the crab rangoon – it is good, but I personally don’t care for it. Panda Garden has become my new go to Chinese restaurant in Memphis!

This place hands down has the best Chinese food in Memphis. From the crab Rangoon to the egg drop soup to the sweet and sour chicken or the beef and broccoli… You can’t go wrong! 10 stars and 10 thumbs up.

I have been eating here for about 10 years now, and it is always delicious! The staff are so friendly. My family likes to order over the phone for take-out. I’m not sure what else to say! It’s affordable, and it’s delicious! Do yourself a favor and try the crab rangoon for a sweet but savory dessert :)

Favorite chinese place ever. Place is clean, no buffet. Food is always hot and fresh. I get the honey chicken combination plate and my husband gets spicy Orange chicken. Sesame chicken is really good to if you want something plain. Fried rice is the best I’ve ever had. And chinese donuts… yummmm… You HAVE to try this place, we bring all our friends and family here and eat here probably every week haha it’s that good.

This place is so good! I love general tso’ chicken and it’s really hard to find quality general tso’ until now! Panda garden is by far the best place to get it! The crab ragoons are to die for! I could eat them for my whole meal and be very satisfied! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because, in my opinion, the waitress was way to persistant. She came around every two or three minutes. Panda garden will definitely cure your thirst haha.

After several visits they still won’t serve me actual Panda. I have asked dozens of times but they must think i’m a cop. I’m starting to wonder if they even have any Panda… Everything else is yummy though.

My darling mother-in-law called us up and said she’d bring us takeout because the oyster beef was so good. She brought that for the husband, who raved about it(«like a Chinese pot roast,» he said). And for me, a delicately fried tofu in a light brown sauce. We both loved our dishes, but I definitely got MSG-ed. It gives me the weirdest headache and vision effects and all day at work the next day, people were asking me if I was ok because I was so «off» as a result of this delicious meal. If you’re not MSG-sensitive(most people aren’t; good news!!) then eat up and enjoy. But if you are sensitive to MSG, proceed with caution.

I’ve been driving by this place for years and have just never had the courage to give it a try. It’s on the less appealing end of Summer Ave., however I’m finding myself more and more in and around this area for great food. My Co-workers and I were in the mood for some Chinese food that didn’t include the dreaded buffet. After looking at several places on Unilocal we decided on Panda Garden and we were glad we did. We all ordered a lunch special and it was an abundance of food. For starters the Spring Roll and Chicken Wing came out first and were very tasty and not far behind that came our soup. I had the Hot & Sour and it was delicious. Everyone else had Egg Drop Soup and they all enjoyed it as well. I ordered the Crab Rangoon’s. After reading Justin B’s review how could I not! I was prepared to be disappointed after that review but Justin was spot on with his assessment and we were wishing that the order of eight was closer to eighteen. They were so light and flakey, definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. The main course came out and was a hit with everyone. We all had the General Tso’s Chicken and it was unlike most Chinese Restaurants, It wasn’t over battered and over fried pieces of chicken drowned in a super sweet and spicy sauce. It was almost all white meat chicken cooked to perfection. The sauce was great and the onions and peppers were so well seasoned and fresh. The only reason I’m not going a full five stars on this review is the Fried Rice. It was at best two stars. I love Fried Rice and this was pretty far down on my list of good Fried Rice. That being said I can’t wait to try some other dishes at my new favorite Chinese Restaurant.

I have yet to have Chinese in Memphis that has come close to touching Panda Garden. Chinese restaurants in Memphis are a dime a dozen, but Panda Garden stands head and shoulders above them all in my book. This place is –LITERALLY– worth coming to for the crab rangoon alone. It just can’t be beat. I would almost come here and get nothing but crab rangoon, it is that good! The food also is so much better than any other Chinese I’ve had here. Could it be better? Yes. But I don’t think I know of anywhere in Memphis where it is. The atmosphere is very casual and the restaurant itself is a little older. The crowd tends to be a little older and more family friendly as well. My wife and I both love this place. I absolutely recommend giving it a try and make sure you get some crab rangoon!
