I like to be tan. I feel better, I look better… I like it. When I feel like giving the finger to skin cancer, this is where I go. Great location — can hop on over to Kroger afterwards — and there’s never a wait. They also sell extremely overpriced clothing and accessories, if you’re into that.

I know tanning beds are bad for you… but I’m about to go to Greece and I need a little base tan. I don’t do this often(it has actually been 3 years) but I don’t want to burn! Anyways, this place is super clean, the girls are super nice, and they sell cute accessories like scarves and swimsuits as well. If you want to skip actual exposure you can get a spray tan. If you do use the beds, I recommend buying the lotion. It really does make a difference! By the way, they don’t take Amex, which is annoying.

I hate to admit it, because I know it’s bad for me. But I really am a sun worshiper. The only problem is that in Memphis is just so hot that I can’t stand to lay out by the pool with temps in the upper 90’s. Plus who has time? So I cheat a little and go to Tan-N-Go to get a bit of that golden glow we girls tend to like so much. There are several locations in town, and they are all clean and modern with the best beds around. I really like their«level 5» high pressure bed, because it’s better and easier on my skin. You don’t burn. But if you are completely opposed to tanning, you can still get some color with their Mystic Tan spray system. It just takes a couple of minutes, and a very fine and light spray will give you a nice glow. This is perfect if you have a special event to go to and perhaps an evening gown to wear. And the girls that work there are all courteous and helpful.
