TJ Maxx

I like coming here because they have so many basic house-​related items and always for a better price than target. It’s a little frustrating to shop here at times because the house-​related merchandise in the back of the store is usually messy and all over the place. I know this place gets a lot of customers and I’m sure the few staff members I’ve seen working in those sections have their work cut out for them, but they should seriously hire more people to keep the store in order. The other thing is that there is rarely anyone there if you have any questions so that is also bothersome. One thing I do like about them though is that the check-​out process usually happens pretty fast.

This store usually have good name brand items at a decent price. Lately, I have not come across any good deals. The selection is not as good anymore, and for the prices I would rather go online to shop around for a better price.
On another note: I am in love with the gummy fruit snacks that are located in the food section (Yummy Earth Organic fruit snacks). This is the only place I seem to find them at.

I was pleasantly surprised by this location. Great selection of handbags and ladies shoes. Men’s department is lacking though. Very small and weak selection.

I have absolutely no issues admitting that I’m a Maxxanista! Maybe because I hate paying full retail price for nice things, maybe it’s the feeling of victory when I discover an amazing find among hundreds of items, who knows.
This particular TJ Maxx is very organized and clean. There aren’t clothes all over the floor or laying half on/​off a hangar. The employees do a nice job of keeping the place well-​maintained, which makes it easier to sift through the racks. I seem to have better luck finding brand name items that I like at this location vs. others. For whatever reason, this place is never «picked over» and always has some good brands at good prices.
I never recommend going to TJ Maxx if you’re looking for a specific item, but this location is great to go on a Saturday afternoon when you have an hour to waste on leisurely browsing.

TJs is one of my favorite places to kill an hour. Even if I don’t need anything. I always find something I am interested in.

I’m always amazed at the sheer amount of random stuff TJ Maxx carries. Sure, they have clothes and shoes and handbags, but they also have kitchen stuff and bathroom rugs and food. I’m usually looking for something specific here (and it’s usually about a fifty-​fifty shot of whether I’ll find it), but I’ve also stumbled across totally random stuff that was a pretty good deal. The boyfriend found saffron once, and I just bought a queen sheet set for only $ 40 — pretty good if you ask me!
I’m sure I don’t even need to mention this, but don’t expect great service. This is a do-​it-​yourself kind of place. But don’t come in unless you’re prepared to find something you just can’t pass up – it’s that kind of store!
