Waffle House

The customer service is horrible at the Waffle House on American Way. Normally I call in an order there a couple of times a month, never had a problem. Food is always good as usual. Lately for the last 2 months I’ve been trying to call in an order each time someone picks up put me on hold & never comes back to the phone. So I call back & they repeat the same thing. So I started going in to place a to go order, since they never come back to the phone. But yet once I’m inside they only have 2 or less people inside. Today they did the same thing placing me on hold 20min never came back! So went up there to place an order, the employes inside was arguing over who’s customers is who’s? Very unprofessional. The only reason I go back is because the food is very fresh & is cooked very well.

Having recently moved here from the Western states the Waffle House chain was a previously unknown treasure for me. I’ve gone about a dozen times since arriving in Memphis and without fail have been pleased.
Each time I go I get the same thing: The All-​Star. SO good and So filling. Sometimes I’ll throw some chocolate chips onto my waffle as well. Good stuff right there. And the service is friendly and excellent!
My only complaint is that there is someone named Mark that works there Saturday mornings so whenever the staff says his name I turn and look. But I’ll let that slide. ;)

This is the waffle house of waffle houses, a unique blend of food, smiling staff, and singing waitresses… The AGT OF eateries. If the juke box ain’t playing, somebody humming or singing something… Happy entertaining, cheesy eggs, and a ribeye comparable to fine eateries… My favorite waffle house bar none, I’ve eaten at all of them.

The food was great but the restaurant was gross. We didn’t notice how dirty the floors were until after we ordered… ugh. They had the best cheesy eggs and grilled chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life.

Good food, nice staff, restaurant needs a serious cleaning. Floor and menus greasy, dirty tables. Hopefully the owner reads this: time for a deep cleaning

This Waffle House location is my ‘home store’ in so many more ways than just my regular stop.
As another reviewer mentioned, the staff is extremely friendly, and if you are a regular, will get to know you.
I live a manageable walk from. there, and often get a drink on the way in to work since there is a MATA stop in front and the American Way Center is also a manageable walk.
If the staff is busy with FedEx employees as they frequently are when I’m in during the week, I get a good natured scolding for getting my own ‘fixins’ from the end of the counter.
Even during the crunch time, service is great. With staff that’s been with the company for years like Tara on day shift, and the experienced staff training the newcomers in the trademark friendliness you can’t go wrong at this old toddle house which now has a yellow roof,

I haven’t even had my food and I am just so happy to be here! The staff made my party and I feel extremely welcomed and for me, service will make or break my visit. Love the southern hospitality! Thank u :)

I really like Waffle House and there are none where I live, so I was happy to find one less than a mile from my hotel.
This is a good one, too! The staff is really friendly, which is unfortunately becoming a rarity. Our waitress, Sherrie, is a real doll, and made sure everything was fine. The keep the place up nicely, too.
I went for my old favorites, coffee with cheesy eggs and raisin toast, and it did not disappoint. The kid had a waffle and home fries, and said they were great too.
I feel a little weird giving a Waffle House four stars, but this one is pretty awesome!
