Water Tower Pavilion

This is a neat space. I worked here for an event about a month ago and was impressed with the size and accommodations.
Aptly named for the water tower adjacent to it, the pavilion appears to have been a delivery point of some sort. There is a huge indoor space that would be amazing if renovated for fancier events. This space, at the moment, is a storage space for the outdoor events that the Pavilion currently hosts. The outdoor space is clearly semi-​truck parking for deliveries back when this place was open.
The space is large enough for decent festivals and events. The delivery platform for the trucks makes for a unique concert stage. They even have rustic wooden benches that you can use for seating if needed.
There is a decent sized parking lot next to the Pavilion that is locked unless booked for events. The coordinators that organize events for this space are easy to work with and readily available by phone if they are unable to be on premises for the event.
All around a really great experience in a unique and growing area of town. With spaces like this and the restaurants and businesses that Broad Avenue is home to, you can’t do wrong in this area! So much character!

This spot needs to be added to everyone’s watch list! Very cool space (active loading dock AND public art/​community/​movement space) which is beautifully adorned with murals in vibrant colors!
I landed here after hearing about the summer series Dancing on Broad, which features instruction in a specific type of dance each saturday night from 6pm to 9pm. The event was a no fuss set up, but provided almost everything one might want while attending this FREE event — including food truck, beer and wine sales, and local vendors selling adorable clothes for women (sorry guys). The only thing one could ask for is more shady spots to stand — it was super hot out when I attended the event (once they add these I will make this a 5 star review!). Despite this, it was a wonderful event that allowed me to connect with fellow Memphians. I left smiling and thankful to live in such a great city!
It’s in a neighborhood that many locals don’t frequent (Broad Ave Art District), but is worth the adventure and appears safe (take normal safety measures — like don’t leave your purse on the passenger seat while at the event!). I think the events in this space will simply continue to expand.
Free Wifi is also available in the pavilion. It appears to be available for rent for private use.

I may be a bit biased since I live across the street but I am SO excited about this pavilion space! It was created as a community event space for musicians, performers, artists, etc. It opened May 10^th and has free dance events for the next few Saturdays with food trucks and artist booths. Free wifi is also coming soon.
