As a kid, I always despised wet willies. I thought they were gross and too warm and wet for my taste(yep, you know it). I kid, but I am definitely a fan of Wet Willie’s when it comes in the form of boozy slushies. Walking down Beale Street, if you want to try something away from the usual drafts or whiskey infused drinks, try your hard at some sweet and sour sugary concoctions. Very circa Fat Tuesdays and New Orleans is all I have to say. The place was not very bumpin, but the drinks were great. They have a wide variety of choices and come in multiple size cups(and a yard stick). A bit pricier than what I am used to paying for giant alcoholic slushies that Vegas can provide, but it’ll do. I got the Shock Treatment because it was Blue. Watch it– it contains 190 Octane goodness. Unfortunately, Tennessee law prohibits sampling of any kind, so you’ll need to be sure you like a certain fruity flavor before you buy the drink. Or, at least that’s what the bartender said. Maybe she just didn’t want to give out free alchy. Fair enough! Cheers to a good night on Beale Street!

Alcoholic slushies… need I say more? No really. But I will. This is the perfect summer drink place. The drinks are fun and strong. The service is good. I like the call a cab drink. Brain freezes will happen, but you will get a nice buzz. FUNFUN

So many flavors of alcoholic slushies and the best fries on Beale. Good crowd, good bands that play the songs you’re familiar with as well as their own. I love going here with friends on the weekends after working too long. Service could be a little quicker, but I go here to relax and have a good time anyway, so I’m cool with the wait.

if you’ve been to one wet willies, I feel like you’ve been to them all. This Wet Willies is nothing spectacular, I went during the day so it was pretty empty. I sat down to look at a menu, although we pretty much knew what we wanted, I just wanted to review all of the flavor combinations. I ended up getting the banana split which is composed of the white russian, monkey shine and the strawberry daiquiri. My bf got call a cab. The drinks are always good, same recipes everytime, therefore you don’t get any surprises. The only thing I would recommend to this location is that their workers need to be friendlier! I work in the service industry & being a bartender I can tell you, these ppl have it soooo easy at wet willies! I wish I could just dispense a pre-made daiquiri and make tips and be done. like seriously it doesn’t hurt to SMILE. but all in all, good flavorful drinks def a place to stop in, order & go, hanging out in this particular location isn’t really necessary. I will say the wet willies in miami is a total 180 experience! they were friendly, offered samples & encouraged us to sit down & eat. half of the people in memphis barely know that wet willies serves food smh lol.

Saw the alcoholic slushie and reviews on Unilocal.Had to try! Wasn’t disappointed. I had the Easter egg which is a blend of 3 different slushies. Got a small and it did the trick! Definitely coming back when I’m on Beale street.

I was very pleased with this place! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken quesadilla and fried pickles. The fried pickles were nice and thick with a great batter. The quesadillas had beans in them, which were so delicious. The drinks were so yummy and quite evenly balanced. I’m definitely going to come again for more!

Not a bad place to grab a quick alcoholic slushie to conjure up some liquid courage before dancing. I had Sex on the Beach and Call a Cab. Sex on the Beach was delicious, but Call a Cab tasted like straight up Nyquil.

The slushies are awesome! Every flavor you could possibly want to try. The possibilities are endless! The best one so far is Call a Cab. All 3 of us agreed!

Sooooo this place is basically a Froyo but with slushies and liquor. I asked the chick for the strongest one and she gave me a Wonderwoman, after the initial brain freeze that ur gonna get it definitely did its job. We came in to get the drinks and left because it was rather dead in there. Seemed to be the same idea everyone else had.

It isn’t often I get to feel like a kid again… but here’s two words for you; alcoholic slushie! We stopped in here on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty dead. Service was extremely fast, especially the food, and it proved to be tasty. I tried a ‘banana colada’ a. s, and then had a few of the no-sugar ‘call me a cab.’ These frozen treats hit the spot on a hot July afternoon!

Staff is always so friendly and helpful here. I’ve only had their drinks btw, so that’s what I’m reviewing here… Their variety of flavors is what makes them so much fun. Granted I always order the sugar-free Call-A-Cab, but I got it mixed with margarita and mango(recommended by the bartender) and it’s great! You need to stop by Wet Willie’s and grab you a cold drink if you’re on Beale$

There isn’t much to say here, other than… yessss! Please go here! A little pricey, but worth it. We came on a Thursday afternoon, so it wasn’t very crowded at all. From our seats, we could see and hear the band playing in the park. The scene was perfect! I had a Ziggy Marley(Call A Cab, Mango and Green Apple together) at the suggestion of the waitress. She was on point with this one! It was so yummy! Sweet and tangy! Then I had the piña colada and strawberry mixed together. Omg! The good: it was amazeballs and I had 2! The bad: the piña colada part contains ice cream… all you lactose intolerant people out there, beware. The ugly: I had a tummy ache for a whole day and a half. BUT… I’d drink it all over again, because it was THAT good!

Meh. Came here looking for fun and a strong fruity drink, and I found neither. The«Call Me Cab» was not strong at all and had a horrible aftertaste. I couldn’t even finish it because it was a waste of my calories. On the Friday night I went to in January it was dead as a doornail inside. The overhead music was wack and the poor guys behind the counter said they had no control over it to change it. All in all I’d rather spend $ 8.75 of my time on something and somewhere else next time.

Wet Willie’s is a Memphis institution and I will give you three good reasons for that: 1. Wet Willie’s offers the finest assortment of frozen cocktails East of the Mississippi. Seriously, the selection is practically infinite – from peach, to strawberry, to sour apple and bahama mama, there is definitely a flavor for everyone. And since they’re premade, it’s like daquiris on tap – quick and fresh. 2. These drinks are REALLY kickin’. Don’t let the girly sound of some of the flavors fool you; these things are Grade A strong. When you buy one of these, you get your money’s worth of buzz. 3. Wet Willie’s is cover free. Even on nights when the rest of Beale street is charging $ 20 just to get in the door, Wet Willie’s sticks to their guns and won’t charge you to get in the door. So if you’re looking for a great night out in Memphis, don’t miss Wet Willie’s! It just isn’t a real night on Beale without at least one of their signature daquiris.

Awesome food, Awesome service and Awesome drinks!!! Recommends the Shrimp Tacos, BBQ Nachos and the Fried Pickles. Also, the ‘Call A Cab’, ‘Attitude Improvement’ and ‘Bob Marley’ drinks are my favorites! The first two are not for the lightweight drinkers. :)

When I go hang out on Beale St, I try to mix places that I know, and places that I haven’t been to– so I can get a solid mixup. Last night for some reason, getting Wet Willies was on my mind. Thankfully, there was no cover(even though there was a band). The setup is simple– look at the wall, tell them what you want, and pay and move on. They do have a menu of shit and I am sure it explains what is stronger or what not, but once I saw the sign on the cash register that said(try the Category 5 a mix of call a cab, strawberry, and something else). $ 8.25 later, I got my drink and proceeded to go back outside. The band was too loud, to a point you couldn’t even hear the bartender. When I had my first sip, the first thing I could think of was that it tasted like paint thinner, and chalk. But I wasn’t trying to have a 5 star drink, I wanted to get wasted. And the end of the drink, I could tell, it was starting to work. Moral of the story– plug your nose when you drink these, and they will get the job done.
