We heard a guy covering a Dave Matthews song and came a running! Plenty of tables and a great outdoor space that feels like your hanging out in someone’s awesome yard. Trees are strung in lights and plenty of deck spots with a roof if it’s raining. We had zero service, we were told by a server we tried to order a drinks from that the servers were done running drinks because it was raining(it was only sprinkling???) but we didn’t mind walking over and getting our own drinks. Good people watching out on Beale Street, we sat along the iron fence at the front and could see and hear the live music as well as watch all the action happening on the street. Good vibes place. We will return

AMAZING! This was among the greatest pubs I’ve been to in some time. Affordable and incredibly powerful drinks. TVs all over the place(I believe one for every potential college football match). AND the most unbelievable live music I’ve heard since I was in Nashville. Barbara Blue was on stage taking requests and singing some originals and she actually understood the best way to get the crowd into it.

Yummy Bloody Mary’s and oysters!!! Halted in around midday on a Sunday. So silent in there, it was pleasant for a change. The bloodys were hot and great! My buddy and I ate the Rockefeller and the Bienville oysters. I favored the Rockefeller.

Very dissatisfied this go around. took 52 minutes to get our order… they said they gave it to someone else. Didn’t even offer a comp or discount… can’t believe how poor the sercice was today. We come every time we are downtown… might need to look for a back up plan next time!

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. The owner is the rudest person ever. We will never be back. Stay away!

This place was great! Extra large cold beers were only $ 6. Music was very good, bands every time we stopped in. Food was pretty good. Prices were better than most. My husband had ribs and they were very good. I had shrimp that was pretty good but I’m a shrimp snob so take that for what you will. Our waiter every time was Hen from Brazil… what a fun, funny, pleasant fellow. Prompt with our drinks and eager to suggest what to eat, see, do while in Memphis. A place not to miss on Beale street.

Cool place till I got the bill. I then realized a double vodka and redbull was $ 20. $ 20 really??? Left right after that… complete BS…

It’s been many years since I walked into this fine establishment. The drinks are still cold and the oysters are still fresh. Lot less cigarette smoke than I remember! Music is still live and loud. What more could you ask for in a Beale street bar!

While the atmosphere was fine, the appetizers ok, the waiter was horrible — time after time he ignored our table. Several times I had to seek him out — even asked other wait staff to find him. What makes it worse is that I watched him serve several other tables in our area, & blatantly ignore us. I finally couldn’t take it any longer & asked him if he had a problem with us, he responded with — I forgot you were there. Are u kidding — will never go there again, to bad it might have had potential — I might even go back tomorrow to speak to the manager — that’s how disgusted I am

I had Valentine’s Day lunch with my beau. We ordered fried pickles(taste great), shrimp salad(weird frozen fried shrimp on romaine lettuce with pickles), and surf-n-turf(shrimp and ribs-far from Texas goodness but it’s Memphis’ style so I appreciate for it is). For drink, I ordered beale sweet tea(a vodka, slightly sweet tea). The entertainment was a great!

Cool dueling pianos Saturday night. But bartenders were very rude. They picked up ticket and we were about to leave cash tip and the bartender yelled at us for not leaving a tip and told other bartenders to not serve us. Super rude. Unlikely we’ll be coming back. 6.50 small drafts beers.

After a long day, I ordered a 32 oz beer(my first drink of the night) after walking in at midnight just as last call was announced. They happily took my $ 7.50. 10 minutes later, I was unceremoniously kicked out. I was by no means nursing my drink and there was no mention of closing time when I ordered. No Smithwicks… No Bass… Irish Pub??? I think not.

It was my first time here. There was a $ 5 cover at the door on this Friday night. Typical bar set up on one side and a stage with dueling pianos on the other. They have a spacious outdoor patio with a live band. We sat in the back where the World Series was on. I was starving and ordered the shrimp basket with fries. There was nothing special about the shrimp but they loaded you up with fries.

If Silky’s isn’t on your list for ribs, it should be. Although BBQ is not the singular focus here, they Chang with the best of them, IMHO. Nicely smoked, meaty and properly finished(you can bite ‘em, not fight ‘em; good Silky Shake, sauce on the side). Gumbo to start was delicious too, and not something you’ll frequently see at your favorite rib joint. Although I didn’t have them this time, I highly recommend the BBQ shrimp that I sampled on a previous visit. My only(minor) complaint is that the gumbo and the ribs came out at the same time.

Think of Pat’Os on Bourbon but a dirty, nastier version. Draft beer was fine and cold but the place was overall a dive. Outside bar was taken over by flies and while I hate posting bad reviews — this place was pretty gross. The only highlight was a goat that roamed about. Probably still factors into the gross. I had great company and that’s all the counts.

Great spot and great music. The food and service are just ok to be generous. Oysters weren’t fresh probably shucked around noon and been sitting on ice. We order a dozen at 4 and you and definitely tell. Shrimp were over cooked and soggy. Drinks over priced too. I guess when you have a great spot full of non repeat tourist you don’t have to try to hard. Grab a beer, listen to some music and move on.

Memphians love this place… especially college students and the early twenties crowd(even though Memphians as a whole typically shy away from Beale). If I’m going to day drink, this is one of my favorite spots, especially downtown. The patio is perfect on a nice day and I love listening to their bands. There is also dancing(the old fashioned kind, ya know, slow dancing and swing) if that is your sort of thing… just not mine. Oh, and yes, those are beer drinking goats next to you. I really enjoy the dueling pianos inside, but I think they don’t start until 4 or so. And I’ve never been disappointed with their food. I feel like everything here is overpriced but I have to take in consideration that there is live entertainment… and well, it is tourist central.
