Clemenza’s Pizzeria

My family and I love ordering from here. Some of the tastiest Philly cheese steak subs I’ve ever had. Not to mention the s’mores cookies that I get for dessert is always is exquisite. But honestly and this is no fault of Paul clemenza’s Pizzeria I don’t particularly care for ordering with GrubHub if you’re going to order I recommend ordering by Phone

Clamenza’s in my opinion is the best pizza there is in the entire Rochester area. That’s a tall order to accomplish with so many local pizza shops in the area. The choice of toppings, the dough, the sauce, everything about the pizza is top notch. I think what really does it for me is the dough. Clamenza’s dough is by far the best I have ever tasted. They make sure it’s crispy, yet still has an airy texture on the inside, and the flavor is just right. Even their sub dough is delicious.
I have been there many times for lunch, and the service and selection are excellent. The prices are fair, and the slices are huge. If you’re ever in the Mendon/​Victor area, and you are craving some pizza, do yourself a favor and stop by to check it out. You will not be disappointed.

For the past couple of years, I have been trying to reduce my gluten intake, and as a result, I have cut WAY back on eating pizza. This hasn’t had a big impact on my life, since I love food and there are always great options out there. But recently, a co-​worker brought in a breakfast pizza (not advertised on their menu) from Clemenza’s. It smelled so good I had to have a piece, and it was honestly one of the most delicious pieces of pizza I’d ever had.
Now, the reason my co-​worker brought in the breakfast pizza was that we have a rotating ‘breakfast club’ at work and those of us who eat the breakfast share the responsibility for providing the breakfast — which works out to a couple times a year. Usually I make breakfast for our group, but since it’s been so hot lately, I didn’t want to cook, and instead I decided to order from Clemenza’s. I am eating a piece of ‘meat’ breakfast pizza as I write and it is, again, delicious.
I know that Clemenza’s offers gluten-​free options, and for folks who have a real intolerance, it’s great to have that choice. For me though, nothing beats their crust — cooked perfectly so the thick slices stand up to the toppings, with beautiful golden brown edges. For the breakfast pizza, we get half veggie (which has onions, peppers and mushrooms) and half meat (which has sausage and a delicious smoky bacon). With the perfect balance of egg and cheese, each slice is satisfying and tasty. If you are going to repeat my order, make sure to order at least 24 hours in advance.
Last note — when I went to pick up my pizza (a sheet) this morning at 8:30, I was greeted very pleasantly by the sole employee (who may have also been the owner?). Not only was he friendly and efficient (pizza was ready, I was charged out in less than 5 min), he offered to carry the pizza to my car (I declined) and in general seemed genuinely concerned that we (he assumed the sheet wasn’t just for me) enjoy our experience, even asking me to let them know how it was. I love that kind of service, where the customer is made to feel valued, AND where the person offering the service seems like an actual happy person who appreciates the opportunity to serve the public. Five stars for sure.

Pizza’s my favorite food, so I have had a lot of pizza in my life. Good thing Clemenza’s makes my favorite pizza. This is the only place I go to get pizza plus the only place my company orders from.

Excellent New York style pizza. Gluten free pizza is great also. Staff is always friendly. Restaurant is clean. Nice selection of slices at lunchtime.

Coming from NJ, we needed to make sure there was a good pizza place up here. We stopped by for lunch on a cold day and it hit the spot. I ordered the 3 cheese and spinach pierogies which were more like mini calzones but delicious! Pizza looked good, was all thick crust, and there were plenty of topping choices.

Place seems to be very popular and very busy, especially for lunch. I can’t figure out why, though. Parking is atrocious. My friends have had their mouths literally cut by the pizza crust and the one time I ordered a sub, not only was it small compared to their competition as well as more expensive, but it was bland and they messed up my order. The only reason this is not a 1 star is because the bread for the sub was good.

Clemenza’s is close to my work, so we buy their pizza and wings a few times a year for company events; I also drive there for lunch when I’m in a pizza mood. The pizza is perfectly good; the crust is thin, but not super-​thin like a lot of the pizza you find around here. There’s a good selection of toppings in the pies they have sitting there for slices, although to be honest I usually just go for pepperoni – they use really tasty pepperoni here. The staff is always friendly and they’re indulgent of their regular customers. There’s a good amount of seating, including outside when it’s warm enough, although a couple of smaller tables wouldn’t go amiss. I’ll be back frequently.

Tried this place for the first time (thank you Unilocal!) The pizza was great and the sauce was AMAZING! We had the dry rub Cajun wings and loved them! Bonus is that they deliver :) I will definitely be a return customer and look forward to trying more of the menu!

I love this place! Best pizza anywhere around. The Cajun dry rub wings are to die for. My kids ask for them all the time. I also love the steak sub which is so fresh. The bread is always fresh and the steak isn’t a steakum. It’s shaved ribeye and absolutely delicious with their homemade meat hot sauce. If I’m working late, I call in an order and pay with credit card and they deliver to my hungry kids. Makes for an easy night. They have a new item which we love too. Sweet corn bits. It’s deep fried cream corn nuggets. Love them!

I have ordered from Clemenza’s a few times now. The food is always excellent. The pizza’s are huge and they use authentic pepperoni, not the fake mystery meat forced on us more often than not. The subs are a la carte which is different that I have experience. If you want lettuce, tomato and onion on a hot sub, they’ll make it happen. Delivery drivers are timely and professional. You can pay by credit card while placing your order or at your door step, whichever you prefer.
